Food Sourcream Powder Anyone try it?

I'm thinking about ordering 2 lbs. of some Hoosier Hill Farms from Amazon. Before I do I thought I'd ask here so I would know what to expect.

Is this good on a baked potato and can you make a dip with it or is it a variation of sour cream but cannot be turned into the kind out of the dairy case? I would appreciate hearing about anyone's experiences with it before I spend $23. on it. TIA

I’ve never tried it but wanted to throw this option out there. I’ve found Media Crema in the Latin section of the grocery store. It’s not with the rest of the canned evaporated milk.

You add vinegar to the canned cream and it thickens up and is tangy like sour cream. See link below

Eh. I have some and it's an underwhelming product. Sounds good, but it may best left to things like baking or light undertones in a dish. Low deliciousness/appeal factor.

I have it and use it in keto recipes but never tried on a potato.

I have some, but had read its best for use in recipes. Not as a true substitution.
