Interesting post, BoneDaddy. There's also one that you can use a discarded refrigerator or freezer by removing the insides. It looked interesting too, but wasn't a good looker like these. ;)

Townsend and friends build a wood frame smoke house with hand tools. Timber frame construction technique. I've also seen this called post and beam. Beautiful work but I'd want the walls made of something non flammable like cinderblock, brick or sheet metal. Over the years layers of solidified black grease and soot can build up on the internal parts of the structure.

I was watching that video just the other day and you can learn a lot from watching and the amish use many of the same tools and process to build their barns all the wood work is done off site and the timbers are brought in and put tougher on site and wood pins put in.
