I just came across this on YT news.
It's curiously quiet about what happened, who, and why.

"ATLANTA — A federal law enforcement officer was involved in a shooting Friday in downtown Atlanta, according to authorities.
There was a police presence near the Richard B. Russell Federal Building along Ted Turner Drive Friday afternoon as an investigation unfolded involving the Federal Protective Service, authorities said.

More than a dozen spent shell casings were seen in the area, with evidence markers tagging two locations on either side of Spring Street.
FBI Public Affairs Specialist Jenna Sellitto didn't elaborate on the situation, but did say FBI is responding to process the scene. Sellitto added that there is no threat to public safety. FPS is the uniformed police division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
11Alive SkyTracker flew over the scene and video shows officers blocking off roads in the area. According to the Atlanta Police Department, their officers responded to the area to assist with a person shot call. However, they said they were not involved with the incident.
APD also said due to the police investigation in the area, there are some streets blocked. "

Curious.

"FBI officials at the scene told Channel 2 Action News that a Federal Protective Service agent shot someone on Ted Turner Drive. The agency is a uniformed security branch of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, whose agents protect federal government facilities.
An FBI spokesperson confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that federal agents were helping process the scene. But officials did not provide any other information on what led to the shooting, or how serious the wounded person’s injuries were.

Spokesmen for Homeland Security did not respond to emails and phone calls Friday afternoon.
Channel 2 obtained a video from an apparent witness that showed the Federal Protective Service agent trying to get the man to stop moments before the shooting. The witness told the news station the officer pursued the man and the two began shooting one another, exchanging more than 30 shots."
