RACE WAR Seriously... WTF, Memphis?!?!

packyderms_wife

Neither here nor there.
The left has stoked this fire. This is different from even just a few years ago, and very different from most of my living memory. This little social experiment of re-fighting the Civil Rights movement after it was won has been a complete disaster for everyone.

From where I'm sitting it's going to destroy blacks in this country.

I have a first cousin married to a very well known doctor/specialist who had his practice there in Memphis (He's retired now). They told the family that the reason they left Memphis and moved to Germantown was because of the black crime situation. Now, they say that the crime is getting bad in Germantown, too.

Been saying for a while now that if you go to Memphis you take your life in your own hands. It's just not worth the risk. We stopped going years ago, because it was just too dangerous. I still tell everyone who might be thinking about going...Stay Away!
I went to my aunt's 93rd birthday in July 2005, we stayed at a nice motel in Millington and my new truck got broken into. Fortunately I didn't leave anything of value in it, but still.

We just sold our home we’ve lived in for 20 years Was 100% white neighborhood and quiet. Three years ago the blacks started moving in the neighborhood. More, and more. Home values started dropping and the lack of respect for their homes was becoming apparent. Kids starting roaming, staring you down as you passed. Speeding down the streets, racist comments said by them as they drove by you.

I said no more and sold while we still could. Will never live around these people again. They destroy everything the whites build. Just look at what happened in Detroit over the years.

They start moving in your neighborhood…get out while you can

Poplar & other streets connect both - maybe 20 minutes center-to-center so, not much of a buffer . . GPD probaly better led/equipped than MPD but not really stellar . . . .

Almost got a job there about 7 years ago as head of security for the city library. SO GLAD that it didn't work out!

******s are a cancer where ever they are. They destroy all they touch and shit on what's left. The only good one is a dead one, period. All will come to realize this soon enough.

Most of what I consider "good black folks" still think that hoods are a white man's problem. They don't want to even lend a hand in helping their own kind...let whitey do it.

Racism is institutional/hereditary/cultural. The dynamics of this conundrum are so multifaceted, that there are no easy or sure answers. The old saw, “it depends upon whose ox is being gored,“ may well apply, yet the rocks and shoals that needed to be carefully navigated, were NOT static. People being people, uncertainty amongst the most stable of individuals is NOT a “given.” Read the histories of those involved in guerrilla or asynchronous warfare. Even amongst one’s own troops or allies, or the most disciplined or experienced personnel, Murphy can, and will, raise his evil presence to strike.

Basing judgements made upon race, creed, color, or religion often devolves to what the late Democratic Senator Tip O’Neal once said, “All politics is local.” Translate that to tribal, political, financial, and so on, and so forth. The variables and potentialities are truly unlimited, and each has possible offshoots branching to areas more difficult to plan for. Such are the operating conditions of the modern American AO…

The urban plague has spread WAY past Germantown. Past Cordova. And still creeping.

I don't see the attraction that it once held for us, but I have two twin first cousins living here that still go to Memphis to do all their shopping. They each built a new mansion, and went to Memphis to buy all their furniture. Yeah, they're rich and very liberal. They still go there to buy all their clothing, too.

C'mon Millz, you know it ain't legal to hunt over bait.

Illegal in most states to hunt over bait.

Not so, for invasive/destructive/nuisance species, like feral pigs.

Most anything goes...even tannerite.

Cary and I, a few years back, would go to Germantown to a little German bakery to buy a month's worth of German breads for our freezers. We made the trip quite often. Once the crime began to get bad there, too, we stopped going.

My wife’s cancer clinic, for one.

And Graceland.

That about sums it up.

There is a tour bus that runs from Memphis to Tupelo on a daily basis, and it's all about Elvis. The bus starts in Memphis at Graceland and finishes in Tupelo where Elvis was born. Tupelo gets lots of tourists to see the huge Elvis complex. It's Tupelo's main tourist attraction. We even have an Elvis festival every year that draws tourists from all over the world.

The "good ones" have learned to manage in a White man's society but know damn well they could have never create it..........they still burn with rage down inside when faced with that fact.............and most importantly the "good ones" have plenty of fambly and cuz homies in jail...........which make their way into your neighborhood sooner or later.

Rule number 1........avoid the groid.............

Keep in mind that Memphis has more problems than this. Much of Memphis is built on very earthquake prone land and the buildings aren’t up to earthquake code as I remember. Keep in mind that Reelfoot Lake is just North of this and was formed by an earthquake that rang church bells in New England and made the Mississippi River flow backwards. Might not be the best place to live for many reasons.
