DEPLORABLE ME
There are many types of rv living. Some people travel non stop, staying only in fancy rv parks, others stay only in camp sites or Wal-Mart's, some have a "home base", some do "work camping", some live in an rv on their own rural land...what did you have in mind?

We (family of 5) rented land and lived in a 40' camper with a slide out for about a year. We LOVED it!! You have no choice but to keep it organized and picked up, and cleaning was a snap. The kids spent a ton of time outside and we were a closer knit family with less room to spread out. I did miss having room for company, but we don't really entertain much anyway.

Cons... not a lot of privacy obviously and sometimes cooking was like a sliding puzzle game but we managed.

Well had pretty much planned on doing the RV thing this summer but one delay after another has me still home. However my folks did the full time RV thing for about 5 years and really enjoyed themselves. They did the work camper thing some of the time, sometimes just acted as host at state parks and such when you do that you don't get paid but do get your site free, they would have probably stayed at it longer but dad's eyesight went so he had to stop driving.

We fulltimed for 8.5 years. Have been off the road for 2 years now, in a small house. There is a lot that is great about being full time. We traveled for work and there were 3 of us in the rig, 2 adults 1 child. You must like each other...a LOT. You must not have an attachment to things. Storage gets expensive if you just have to keep your stuff. Cleaning is a breeze. That is the hardest thing for me with the stick house is keeping it clean. It takes a lot longer to clean it than the 30 minutes the rig took.

You need to understand "domicile" and where you are legally registered to live. (see escapees.com) You can spend as much or as little as you need to each month. You can work on the road for money or a site. You can stay somewhere nightly, weekly or monthly. You can have a Thousand Trails membership and save a ton of money that way. You can also boondock or wally camp and save money that way. Everything is fluid. Being flexible helps.

There are many MANY rv boards and many facebook rv boards. Start reading and enjoy.

My choice would have been to have a small/rural homebase and still be able to travel. Dh wanted to be deeply involved in a church and not travel. As he makes the money..lol...we are currently stationary.
