Winner, winner- Chicken dinner!!

If Russia wanted to invade Ukraine they would have done so long ago.

This is just such a "Wag The Dog" movie here! I'm sure this will be part of the cover story as to why the central banks will fail.
I think this is exactly it! TPTB are pushing for a war because they know the dollar is circling the toilet bowl. It’s the only way to cover up their massive fraud.

My thinking when I commented that the current boots on the ground IN Ukraine should be Counter Insurgency Trained was that that training also included SERE training and training in generating an insurgency, which would be a FINE little gift to the new landlords in Ukraine as those guys n gals exfil'd the country en masse but individually, because we're going to re-enact Affy 2.0 with Ukraine.

Sad but most likely true.

God has a plan, Trust it!
What, pray tell, is our national interest in Ukraine?
I an leaning towards the Russians on this one

Remember the Cuban Missile Crisis? Well, this is Russia's turn. I do not blame Russia for reacting, however, they also can't get control of those nations either, because that puts Russia in control.

We have NATO nations on this side | A small buffer of nations (like a DMZ zone for Russia) | And Russia

Now those buffer nations want to join NATO, which means NATO will be putting missile silos and launchers within 100 miles of Moscow. By taking control of one, some, or all of those buffer zones, they prevent NATO from putting those troops and missiles and reserve it for themselves to control. If they get Ukraine, they stop NATO from putting those missiles the closest they can reach to Moscow. If they take Crimea, they get the closest they can get to NATO and EU countries. Those two specific nations are the greatest benefit to them to attain and why they want them.

The Ukes have all the dirt on Joey and the gang. Are they willing to do anything to keep it from seeing the light of day?

Anything the Ukrainians have the Russians have. They were part of the USSR for many decades and have a lot of ethnic Russians in their military and intel services.

Besides that - despite US and NATO hubris - the Russians have always had superb intel capability. I'm not playing Russian cheerleader here, but am trying to lay out the situation as I see it. If we get into a shooting war with Russia, it will be a bloodbath and you can be sure that the casualties won't be exclusively Russian.

If NATO forces (to include naval, air and space assets) engage the Russians on Ukrainian or Russian soil there is every chance that things will go nuclear. There is a slight chance that initial exchanges will be tactical and limited to military targets (see my postscript below at the end of this post) but there is no guarantee of that, either initially or over the course of a longer conflict.

US (and NATO) foreign policy with regards to Russia has been insane and I use the word "insane" unreservedly. IMHO we are closer to a nuclear war than at any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis. I'm specifically not saying that we'll have a nuclear war, only that we are relatively closer.

Postscript: When most people think of militarily significant targets they tend to think of military bases, missile fields, submarines and other military hardware. Nuclear targets are not limited to such things. My hometown of New Orleans is home to very few military installations, but it would be destroyed as a critically important transportation hub, which also controls the mouth of the Mississippi. Cities that are important transportation or communication hubs would be targeted, as would oil refineries, large pipeline terminals and anything else of potential use to the military. Enemies - even the Russians - have no particular interest in vaporizing Mr. and Mrs. Smith sitting down to dinner. They would just be collateral damage.

Initial reports of a large power outage across #Uzbekistan, #Kyrgyzstan and #Kazakhstan
Local social media reports : large scale power outage in all of #Kyrgyzstan , southern #Kazakhstan (including Almaty) and eastern #Uzbekistan
The reason is still unclear , cellular networks and internet connections in the affected areas is also faulty #Kazakhstan #Kyrgyzstan #Uzbekistan
Power outages confirmed in the capitals of #Uzbekistan (Tashkent) and #Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek) and also in the largest city of #Kazakhstan - Almaty. Many
Reports that the #Tashkent metro stopped operating because of the power outage

In an interview on Fox about an hour ago - they said that the US Troops would not be sent to Ukraine. They would only be used in the nearby NATO countries surrounding/bordering Russia. And if things got bad, the US would pull the "trainers" they have in the Ukraine out of the country.

"Trainers."

Um.......yeah.

I remember.

That's pretty much what they called them all during the Vietnam era.

Macron "will soon meet with Vladimir Putin to basically offer him a path of de-escalation".
Is Macron acting here on his own, opening a different path of negotiations with different proposals to Putin, or is he putting himself in the service of the joint strategy of the West?
Is Macron's "path of de-escalation" agreed with Ukraine and major European and transatlantic partners, and the EU?

Kyrgyz authorities still don’t know what is causing the large scale power outage in the country which is affecting the cellular networks and internet connections across the country
Kyrgyz Energy Ministry : “A large power outage is ongoing throughout Central Asia. Kyrgyzstan will isolate its energy ring and restore power supply within 30 minutes”

According to some reports, the metro service in the capital Tashkent has been disrupted, too.

The airport of Tashkent is currently not accepting flights.

Power outages have occurred in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, and the second-largest city, Osh. Water supply disruptions were also reported in the capital of Kyrgyzstan,

stations not working due to the outage.
In Kazakhstan, there is no electricity in central Almaty, in Taraz and Taldykorgan.

The airport of Almaty is operating at full capacity, its press service said. According to the city administration, power supplies have been partially restored.

That's what it looks like, doesn't it? A practice run. Getting it down, and showing off what they have. If anyone still isn't prepped, at the very least mentally, for massive cyberattacks in CONUS if this thing goes hot, they better start now. Better to expect it and not have it happen than be taken by surprise like 98% of the USA citizens will be.
