I was wondering the same thing.

For those who may not know the USS Nevada is a submarine, that just surfaced, and docked ...in Guam (?).
It was a port call. Something SSBNs rarely do. To show China that we havent forgotten about them and that we do have some assets in the area.

The Russians stated their concerns openly.
We said Nope.

We can't openly state our agenda, because "Surrender to Team Deep State so we can complete our dreams of global enslavement and control", wouldn't sell.
Putin knows the score, and says Nope.

In reading the western press portrayals and the public statements from our installed regime and their allies, it seems that we are unable to honestly understand anything but through our own lens of power hungry political calculations and lies.

I love America, but have become increasingly embarrassed by our aggressive, arrogant, and duplicitous foreign policy.

Trump would have made a deal that everyone could live with (except team deepstate/China), so he and his supporters were narrated into public enemy number one, and he was removed, albeit more cleanly than JFK.

When this unnecessary war kicks off, only the Good Lord knows how it will play out.

Whoever or whatever has taken over this country is in direct opposition to the principles of our founding, and it pains me to think that we have become the bad guys.

Germany continues blocking arms exports to Ukraine due to new foreign ‘peace’ policy
By Nikolaus J. Kurmayer and Oliver Noyan | EURACTIV.com 0:24 (updated: 4:47)

Germany reiterated its refusal to send defensive weapons to Ukraine that according to Kyiv would help the country fend off a potential Russian invasion. This comes as part of a new German peace policy that aims at restricting arms exports and fostering peace via diplomacy.

German foreign minister Annalena Baerbock, speaking in Kyiv on a tour that next takes her to Moscow, said on Monday (18 January) she hoped tensions with Russia over Ukraine could be solved by diplomacy, but she warned that Moscow would suffer if it does attack its neighbour.

“Each further aggressive act will have a high price for Russia, economically, strategically, and politically,” Baerbock told reporters.

“Diplomacy is the only way,” she added, speaking next to her Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.
Asked about Germany’s refusal to send defensive weapons to Ukraine, as requested by the government in Kyiv, Baerbock said the government’s new restrictive arms export policy is “rooted in our history”.

Since taking over in December and as part of a larger approach, the German government has taken a more restrictive stance on the export of arms to foreign countries.

Baerbock emphasised that “different historical responsibilities” are the reason for this and that Germany will support Ukraine by other means.

“The most effective lever that we have to back Ukraine is the unequivocal and, above all, the unanimous commitment of the EU, the G7, and NATO,” Baerbock said.

Speaking alongside Baerbock, Kuleba said “each country will do what that country considers necessary and what corresponds to the national interests of that country when it comes to supporting Ukraine.”

While he tried to convince Baerbock of the necessity of defensive weapons to fend off a potential Russian aggression, he said Ukraine would be seeking to receive arms from other sources.

“We are working every day on this question,” Kuleba stated. “And our dialogue with Germany on this issue will continue,” he added.

Over the weekend, Kyiv’s ambassador to Berlin, Andrij Melnyk, said the Ukrainian people were “extremely disappointed” of the German position.

The US, UK, Lithuania and France have meanwhile pledged additional support, saying they would export new defensive weapons to Ukraine, among them Javelin anti-tank missiles, Stinger missiles, small arms, and boats. London already started ferrying anti-armour weaponry to Ukraine on Monday evening.

Germany’s arms export control law

The question of exporting defensive weapons to Ukraine has been a subject of intense debate in Germany.
During the election campaign last May, current Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck said that Germany could hardly deny Ukraine defensive weapons, a declaration which prompted widespread controversy.

However, the new government has taken a more restrictive approach towards the export of weapons to third countries.
Germany exported €9.35 billion worth of arms exports with explicit government approval in 2021, an an all-time record. Of those, €4.2 billion were weapons of war, something that the new government aims to change with new legislation that limits arms exports.

“Decisions on arms exports need a restrictive and clear legal basis,” Sven Giegold, state secretary of the economy ministry, told taz on Monday (17 January). The economy ministry is responsible for approving or vetoing weapons exports.
The draft legislation, that aims at introducing procedural bases and control options for the shipment of arms, is planned to be released this summer.

The “peace policy” approach of the new German government was also outlined by SPD foreign policy spokesperson Nils Schmid.

“The common ground of this governing coalition is the commitment to peace, are preservation, promotion and, when necessary, restoration of peace,” Schmid said in the German Bundestag last week.

The envisioned arms-export-control law would ensure that “we live up to this promise,” Schmid added.
Baerbock flew to Russia on Monday evening, where she will discuss potential pathways to ease tensions in and around Ukraine with her Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

Topping the agenda is also the revival of the so-called Normandy format between Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine to ensure that Europe doesn’t lose its diplomatic grip over the negotiations on the conflict in its close neighbourhood.

Russia evacuating embassy in Ukraine – media

With tensions rising on the Russian border with Ukraine, Moscow has started to remove its diplomats and their families from its embassy in Kiev and consulate in Lvov, the New York Times has claimed, citing anonymous officials.
In a report published on Monday, the newspaper claimed that 18 people, primarily children and wives of Russian diplomats, left Ukraine on January 5. A further 30 people allegedly left in the two weeks following that, and diplomats from two other Russian consulates (Kharkov and Odessa) had reportedly been told to prepare to leave the country.
In response, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that “The Russian embassy in Kiev is working normally,” but did not deny any downsizing.
According to the New York Times, officials from both the US and Ukraine confirmed that Russian diplomats had left.

Reports of evacuations come as Moscow is accused by Western nations of a troop build-up on the frontier with Ukraine, allegedly with the intent of invading the country in the coming weeks and months. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied any plan to attack and has suggested that NATO is invoking the specter of “Russian aggression” as a pretext to deploy more military equipment in the region.
Last week, America’s CNN claimed that a “group of operatives” trained in urban warfare and the use of explosives had been sent to “carry out acts of sabotage against Russia’s own proxy forces” to create a pretext for military intervention in Ukraine.
This story, citing anonymous sources, echoed a previous statement by United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who claimed that American intelligence had reason to believe Moscow is planning a scenario where it can justify a military incursion into Ukraine.
“Russia is laying the groundwork to have the option of fabricating a pretext for an invasion, including through sabotage activities and information operations, by accusing Ukraine of preparing an imminent attack against Russian forces in Eastern Ukraine,” Sullivan sai

Even if Russia doesn't use Belarusian territory for kinetic strikes, they can deploy electronic warfare systems in Belarus just 80km from Kyiv to try to disrupt Ukrainian command, control, and communications.

And of course, Russian forces in Belarus, especially in western Belarus, would force Ukraine to spread out its forces to defend another part of its border, which could make it more difficult to defend against Russia's potential main axis of advance.
And this electronic warfare deployment could include deploying Krasukha systems to try to disrupt the operation of US E-8 JSTARS aircraft that have been flying over Ukraine to track the movement of Russian units.
Another thing to add, if Russia does plan on escalating in Ukraine, it will maintain a heightened military presence along its border with NATO in order to deter a NATO response. The Russian deployment in Belarus could also serve this purpose.

The same. They won't move any ground or VKS forces from Kaliningrad, and will keep an alerted presence near Norway, Finland, and the Baltics.

Russia can attack Ukraine 'at any time', White House warns
1/18/2022, 11:55:17 AM

This declaration comes in a context of strong tensions around Ukraine: Kiev and its Western allies accuse Russia of having massed troops on its border for a possible invasion.

We are at a stage where Russia can launch an attack in Ukraine at any time
,” the White House spokeswoman said on Tuesday, January 18, speaking of an “
extremely dangerous situation."

"No option is excluded

on the American side to respond to such an attack," said Jen Psaki, questioned in particular about an exclusion of Russia from Swift."a secure circuit for international bank transfers.

These statements come in a context of high tensions around Ukraine, Kiev and its Western allies accusing Russia of having massed troops on its border for a possible invasion.

Russia denies any belligerent ambition in Ukraine and says it is threatened by the strengthening of NATO in the region.
She judges that a de-escalation is only possible if the West signs treaties excluding any future enlargement of the Atlantic Alliance.

For their part, the EU and Washington have warned Russia that it would be the target of very significant sanctions in the event of aggression by Ukraine, a threat swept away by the Kremlin.

Apparently tone-deaf to Russia's security concerns and Putin's red line. Hardly sounds like diplomatic negotiations at all.

The UK Foreign Office has been told to be ready to move into "Crisis Mode" at very short notice according to officials to BBG

Officials at the U.K. Foreign Office have been told to be ready to move into “crisis mode” at very short notice, highlighting the increased concern that Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine could escalate into conflict, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Staff at the department were informed of the request this week, the person said. Triggering it would mean officials and diplomats are redeployed to work on Russia and Ukraine policy and to prioritize the U.K. response to any further spike in tensions, including deterrence and sanctions.

“This is critical work in shaping and securing our European neighborhood,” staff were told in a communication.

Some staff are already being shifted to work on contingency planning and strategic communications, the person said.
A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office said the situation in and around Ukraine was a top priority and there were contingency plans in place for any developments.

Germany Ready to Hit Nord Stream 2 to Counter Russian Aggression
A “crisis mode” has been invoked in the recent past to deal with emergencies including repatriations related to the Covid-19 outbreak and the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan last year to the response to blasts in Lebanon. The extent of the status is not set in stone and depends on the nature of the emergency.

It is also not an indication the U.K. government thinks an invasion is imminent or definitely happening, but part of putting precautionary plans in place that would shuffle staff to higher priority areas and allow the FCDO to move quickly if the status is triggered.

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace told the House of Commons on Monday that Russia’s mass deployment of troops close to the Ukrainian border -- equipped with tanks, armored fighting vehicles, rocket artillery, as well as short-range ballistic missiles -- was not routine.

President Vladimir Putin has denied he currently plans to invade Ukraine, but he is demanding security guarantees from NATO in return that the military alliance says it cannot give.
Ukraine’s Frontline Civilians Think War With Russia Won’t Come
Wallace said the U.K. is sending light, anti-armor, defensive weapon systems to Ukraine, while a small number of British personnel will provide early-stage training for a short period. The aim of that assistance package is to help Ukraine increase its defensive capabilities, he said.
Wallace also said he had invited Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu to London for talks.

Secretary of State Blinken will meet in Geneva on Friday with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov following Blinken's travel to Kyiv & Berlin. The Lavrov meeting resulted from their call this morning and "suggests that perhaps diplomacy is not dead,” a Sr State Dept official said
"The United States does not want conflict. We want peace. President Putin has it in his power to take steps to de-escalate this crisis so the United States and Russia can pursue a relationship that is not based on hostility or crisis," the official said
However - the U.S. remains "concerned across several dimensions about Russia creating a pretext for a possible invasion," including via Belarus, the official said. Its movement of forces there is "neither an exercise nor normal troop movement."
SSDO on Russian forces in Belarus: "It is a show of strength designed to cause or give false pretext for a crisis as Russia plans for a possible invasion." "[T]his is extremely dangerous. We are now at a stage where Russia could at any point launch an attack on Ukraine."
Senior State Dept Official: "Russia has two choices: diplomacy and de-escalation, or escalation and massive consequences…The United States remains committed to diplomacy and believes it is the best and most responsible way forward."

Nor to me. Sounds more like globalist commie red rat bastards unleashing unholy mayhem upon the world to further their power restructuring aims, and to bring pain and suffering to all we pawns and normies of the nations to add to their fun.
The globalists need a war or some other major event to distract the public's attention from the crumbling COVID narrative which implicates them all in crimes against humanity.

NEW - NATO: Any attack against a member country's assets in space "could lead to the invocation of Article 5," according to the alliance's first formal public space policy released today.

Considering what could be considered or mistaken for an attack on orbital assets you literally have a "false flag" on demand with that statement.
