ALERT RUSSIA INVADES UKRAINE - Consolidated Thread

I agree. I would like to have some confirmation on all of this. Is it something new, or something old? Timing is everything.

Let me just say that I'm confused. If Ukraine has recently, like today, been admitted into NATO, why is Russia still planning to invade? They would be invading a NATO country now. Could someone explain this to me?

They got "triple dog dared" and they're about ready to call what they see as a bluff.

Ukrainian Information Ministry says "first data suggests" that today's cyberattack "was carried out by the Russian Federation." “Contrary to the allegations of the attackers, the leakage of data, including personal data, did not occur," the Ministry said.
They'll have 90% of the world buffaload with their lies.

My sunshine worry isnt the West or Russia or even China. They have a vested interest in keeping it conventional. Its Iran, NK taking advantage that I worry about. Also someone like India if China attacks. They panic and hit the button. As long as the Russians dont push beyond the Ukraine or even the Baltics into Europe proper it will stay conventional. Same on the other side if we dont then push into Russia.
I'm more worried about diaper in chief lobbing one as that false flag

Unconfirmed sources are indicating Russia may be making a play for the island of Gotland off of Sweden. If so, they can seal the entire Baltic Sea, cut off Finland, Poland, the Baltic states.
Russia is "possibly" combat forwarding amphibious ships fully loaded headed towards Sweden.

If so, this thing just went seriously sideways. The :poop: will flow is this report is true.

Did you see that info somewhere? I'd like to send that to someone.

Naturally, we are not ready to look at everything that happens indifferently. Our retaliatory measures on this score are not yet pronounced aloud and are not submitted for general discussion. But I will say this: we will focus on an asymmetrical response that will create a threat directly to the United States itself, and not to some kind of Ukraine.

That last sentence aligns with what has been worrying me.
Putin's problem isn't Ukraine, it is US/Nato.

If that's the case it's no longer a Russia/Ukraine scenario. Russia would be moving on northern Europe doing this.
Saying this went "seriously sideways" is putting it mildly.

I don't regard Hal Turner as a particularly credible source to be blunt. ON the other hand he does have sources that have proved remarkably accurate from time to time. The other thing Alfaman is I judge Putin to be thinking big and going for Gotland Island is EXACTLY the kind of strategic move he would make, especially since the Swedes clearly think so and deployed combat forces to defend Gotland Island. Not sure why they did that, but if Putin really is making a move then this is in play.

I just rewatched that BBC World War Three BBC fictional clip and I have to say again, it is PRECISELY spot on in what is happening. In fact, you can follow it blow by blow with what is really happening in terms of the diplomatic :poop: now going on, especially the failed "talks.'

Hate to say it, gang, but this thing MAY be going hot, as in a large scale conflict expanding into something bigger, much bigger.

Putin is essentially kicking out the USA from Europe, cutting it off from NATO, and creating total control over Europe from France to the Ukraine. And in that context nukes will come out, unless the USA wants to crawl back to dc and abandon all of Europe from Britain to the Baltics, to the Ukraine.

And don't forget China or North Korea or Iran either,

I don't like to use Turner since it always degrades into a cat fight. :kaid:

You know Alfaman I could really use a few Permanently Cute puppy pictures. this is turning out to be a bad Friday night with weekend prospects even worse. If you see truckloads of Pentagon types fleeing into the night that isn't a good sign either.

Article in Swedish Media about possible sabotage at a power plant. Only non Turner source I could find. Cant find anything independent on the Russian amphibs. I would expect that if they were going to do an amphibious assault there would be more ships than just the 3 amphibs listed in the article. Their combined troop capacity is about 1000 troops and 30-50 tanks and vehicles.

I expect an airborne assault on Gotland with amphibs bringing in reinforcements.

If Putin goes for that island, then it will be TEOTWAWKI. That would certainly set off WWIII.

It's like he is playing a real life game of RISK. He has pooled all of his forces and going to take over country by country. Eastern Russia is probably seriously weak right about now.

Investigation is still ongoing but the Security Service of Ukraine has obtained preliminary indicators suggesting that hacker groups associated with the Russian secret services may stand behind today’s massive cyberattack on government websites https://ssu.gov.ua/novyny/sbu-rozsliduie-prychetnist-rosiiskykh-spetssluzhb-do-sohodnishnoi-kiberataky-na-orhany-derzhavnoi-vlady-ukrainy…

I think Ukraine has accepted the invitation (which was extended years ago) but has never begun the process of actually being admitted. So they're technically not a NATO member, which is important in the fine print part.

Lots of hoops to jump through in order for it to become official - treaties and stuff, meetings, toasts, medals, flowery speeches and announcements, etc. etc. ad nauseum.

Probably unrelated news, and I apologize for the sin of thread drifting in advance, but Biden's gonna talk to us Wednesday. . :shr:
First thing that came to mind: That's one day short of Biden being in office one year. Wednesday is January 19; he was inaugurated on January 20, 2021.
