ALERT russian troops headed to the border of ukraine

What this is about is NATO and EU violating the agreement Reagan and Gorbechev had NOT to move NATO EAST and place offensive first strike weapons DIRECTLY on Russia's borders like the Aegis missile systems in BOTH Romania and Poland.

It is a reverse Cuban missile systems situation, with MASSIVE biden corruption added into the mix. And the neo-nazis are marching this year not 1945.

We are going to get a war, likely a nuclear one, because Ukraine is being used by the globalists, neo con rinos and demoncrats together want one.

NATO wanted to add Georgia, and was sniffing around the stans too.
Russia now has a NATO ring from Finland to the Blsck Sea, and if Putin hadn't stepped up. NATO would have kept going to the Chinese border with Turkmenistan, whefe we were using their air bases for Aghanistan.
Putin is DEFENDING RUSSIA, and when he invades the nato and eu border states he will STILL be DEFENDKNG RUSSIA.

Are you sure about that?
What this is about is NATO and EU violating the agreement Reagan and Gorbechev had NOT to move NATO EAST and place offensive first strike weapons DIRECTLY on Russia's borders.
Nope. James Baker made that offer, and his own people rejected that immediately. The concept had actually been to keep the USSR together, so NATO expansion would have literally meant taking advantage of the Soviet disarray to conquer parts of the USSR. Given the near certainly of the USSR dissolving, the rest of the State Department wanted to leave the door open to collecting the dissolved states so they wouldn't become later rogue states. It also had the handy feature of keeping Russia at bay trying to reconstitute the USSR later.

The Russian apologia is annoying as hell. Russian paranoia is justified given their long history, but they have also historically used it as an excuse to do whatever they decide to do in opposition with their neighbors.

Where is this agreement by Gorbachev and Reagan recorded? Something that big would have been written down. I have never been able to find it. I agree that NATO should not have expanded but it did not violate any treaty or agreement by doing so. I do wonder if NATO hadnt added the countries they added, would those countries have returned to the Russian sphere of influence? Maybe Europe is ahead of the game by creating a buffer for themselves?

So if Russia strikes targets in the US is Putin still defending Russia? You do realize that Putin is a dictator right? He is the richest man in Russia. He gets kickbacks on everything. Every tank that is built he gets a cut. Every oil line run he gets a cut. If you disagree you get poisoned. War will make him richer than ever. He doesnt have the interests of the Russian people at heart. He has his own interests.

NATO Increases Military Flights Along Belarus Border As Putin Blames EU For Migrant Crisis

THURSDAY, NOV 18, 2021 - 02:10 PM

Previously we noted that despite tiny NATO-member Estonia not actually sharing a border with Belarus, its government ordered snap military drills and the erecting of additional barbed-wire along its border with Russia in a message of solidarity with Poland amid the migrant standoff.

Fresh EU sanctions on Minsk, coupled with persisting clashes at the Belarus-Poland border, mean that things could easily escalate to a military conflict between the two countries, and into a broader NATO-Russia-Belarus standoff, given Moscow is Lukashenko's closest ally. Alarmingly, on Thursday the Belarusian government cited a noticeable uptick in NATO aircraft activity "along the state border of Belarus".

Via CNN

The Belarusian Defense Ministry statement was translated by Russian media sources: "Our radio and radar reconnaissance means registered constant increase in the intensity of flights of reconnaissance and combat aviation of NATO member states along the state border of Belarus, including in the airspace of Ukraine," it said.

More broadly, the defense ministry connected the heightened activity to a threatening NATO build-up at its border - something which was persistently emphasized during last year's crackdown on anti-Lukashenko protests, for which Minsk was slapped with EU sanctions the first time around (with fresh EU sanctions being readied this week as Lukashenko stands accuses of orchestrating the migrant crisis).

According to further details of the allegation via TASS:

The total number of these flights had doubled recently, while flights by US aircraft increased by 50%, the ministry said. Unmanned surveillance aircraft continue to be used a lot, it said. The aircraft fly as close as 15-20 kilometers from the Belarusian border, according to the statement.
Belarus says the number of NATO flights has "almost doubled" in recent years. "These facts confirm the buildup of military activity near our borders and testify to the further escalation of the situation around Belarus," the defense ministry said.

Chaotic scenes continue to emerge at border camps made up of mostly Middle Eastern migrants seeking to make their way to Germany or other Western Europe countries:

Also on Thursday Russian President Vladimir Putin turned Europe's accusations around, saying the migrant crisis is instead being used as a pretext to further pressure Belarus:
Russian President Vladimir Putin has alleged that western countries are using the ongoing immigration crisis at the Belarus-Poland border as a pretext for escalating tensions and exercising pressure against Belarus – Moscow's neighbor and ally.
Describing before a foreign ministry conference that the EU is "violating their own obligations in humanitarian sphere" due to harsh treatment of migrants at the Polish border, the Russian leader explained:
"I just feel sorry for the children. [Polish forces] pour water and tear gas there, throw grenades there. Helicopters fly along the border and [Polish side] turns the sirens on at nights."
Some of the chaotic nighttime scenes from the border days ago...

For over the past year since Lukashenko's contested re-election to a sixth term, Western mainstream media has been intensely amplifying Belarusian opposition voices...

Some observers have said that Belarus is likely next on NATO's list of countries targeted for regime change, given strongman Lukashenko has been in power for approaching three decades, as makes up part of the so-called "union state".

And recall last week, when the crisis began grabbing international spotlight...

It was an understanding between NATO and the Warsaw Pact/Russia for NATO not to move into thd eastern bloc nations and essentially annex them. Was it written down? Nope. Will millions upon millions DIE in the Russian attacks? Yes they will. Putin is a nationist. And they are ALL CORRUPT. Biden also.
Prepare for war. Russia thinks NATO stabbed them in the back, just like Hitler and the nazis did with the Versailes Pact did.
The blood will flow soon enough.

Neither Poland nor Romania share a true border with Russia. I dont count Kaliningrad. Does Russia have any first strike weapons in Belarus?

Poland has a border with belarus. Kalingrad is a part of Russia and they will secure it by seizing the corridor. War is inevitable at this point.

I think Russia just moved some nukes into belarus last week.

Russia just flew 2 nuke capable bombers over the border region the other day. The signs for war are EVERYWHERE!

With NATO, and its allies being weaker than at any time in my former military mind memory, one must wonder where the basis for the sturm und drang is coming from. Fuss n’ feathers, tempest in a teapot- yes. Poking the Bear, or goosing the Dragon, are never good ideas. Their sense of humor is not our kind. Think Freddie Kruger meets Mr. Rogers, right now. It’d be U-G-L-Y.

Doug, regardless of whether it’s “Russia” or the old “USSR,” what is called “Belarus,” has ALWAYS been considered part of Russia. Like Crimea, the lines on a map mean nothing to Mad Vlad, the Would Be Impaler, or his minions. The Russia of the Czars, and the power it did connote, is what Putin craves. Over flights by Russian bombers is nothing new- part of their training regimen. Flying over Ukraine, that’s a provocation. The timpani drums are having their skins tightened, the Red Orchestra is starting to tune-up. The Fat Lady is having a small snack, licking her lips thinking of the restoration of Czar Vlad’s Russia…. Wait for the crescendo- it’s a real killer…

The FT’s article on Ukraine (“Ukraine warned of border ‘destabilisation’”, Report, November 15) is a reminder that we still have lessons to learn from past dealings with Russia’s president Vladimir Putin. The Russian foreign ministry’s refusal to meet its German and French counterparts is alarming, but not unique. In the summer of 2008 — with relations between Georgia and Russia boiling and Russian combat forces deployed in a massive military exercise just over the border from Georgia — my Russian counterpart informed me that neither he nor his colleagues would be available to meet with my German, French or British counterparts, or myself.

This hamstrung the UN-brokered mediation process we were leading to defuse tensions between the two countries. Russia thus bought time to finalise its invasion plans and invaded Georgia only weeks later. History may now be repeating itself. Russia’s current diplomatic unavailability coincides with its massive build-up of combat forces near its border with Ukraine. In accordance with its doctrine of hybrid or “non-linear” war, Moscow is simultaneously using natural gas supplies to squeeze Ukraine (and the EU) economically while conducting a “lawfare” campaign waged against Kyiv through the UK Supreme Court. If the estimations of Kyrylo Budanov, chief of Ukraine’s military intelligence, that “Russia has deployed as many as 114,000 forces to the north, east and south of Ukraine” prove to be true, Russia could be planning to reprise its 2008 invasion of Georgia, this time in Ukraine, where 14,000 Ukrainian lives have already been claimed by this conflict.

A full-blown war with Russia would not only be tragic for Ukraine; it would also create the deepest security crisis for Nato’s easternmost members on Ukraine’s doorstep since they joined the alliance two decades ago. Indeed, even if Moscow intends its menacing military build-up merely to garner negotiating leverage over Kyiv, western acquiescence risks prompting Russian challenges to Nato’s eastern flank. Potentially, this could leave Nato a brutal choice between honouring its collective defence commitment to its easternmost allies or war with Russia. Ambassador (ret.) NATO chief: alliance watching Russian troops near Ukraine

BERLIN -- NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said Friday that the alliance is closely monitoring an unusual concentration of Russian forces on the border with Ukraine, warning that similar troops were used by Moscow in the past to intervene in neighboring countries.

Speaking at a defense seminar in Berlin, Stoltenberg said NATO had seen a significant military buildup by Russia close to the borders of Ukraine lately.

“We are now closely monitoring the developments along the borders,” he said. “This matters for NATO and we have the capacity, we have the capabilities to collect information, to monitor it closely and to understand what is going on there.”

Stoltenberg said that the alliance had made clear to Russia that “we see their significant military buildup.”

“We see an unusual concentration of forces and we know that they have used these type of forces before to actually intervene and invade other countries, Georgia and Ukraine,” he added
.

Moscow provided military support to separatists in the breakaway Georgian region of South Ossetia in 2008.

Russia also annexed Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula in 2014 and has supported a separatist insurgency that broke out that year in eastern Ukraine and still controls territory there.

“We call on Russia to be transparent and to prevent an escalation and to help and to reduce the tensions along the borders with Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said.

The NATO chief also spoke about the challenge posed by China due to its rising economic and military might.

“The aim of China is to have the most advanced and strongest military capabilities within a few decades," he said. “And they invest: What they do now on nuclear is really big. They are building many new silos for missiles, and they’re investing in extremely advanced technologies."

“China is coming closer to us: in space, in cyberspace,” Stoltenberg said.

“We see them in Africa. We see them in the Arctic. We see them trying to control critical infrastructure,” he added, noting the recent debates in some NATO countries over Chinese companies' involvement in building 5G mobile networks.

Holdomor - in the 1930s the Soviets starved approx 7 million Ukrainians to death. Basically to get the land for use by Russia for grain production. THere is a fascinating first hand account called Execution by Hunger by a man who survived. It is avail online in PDF format.

Also looking at history what about British rule did our forefathers so adamently oppose? They are being invaded.
actually it wasn't for the grain per se. it was to rip off all the grain, etc, and sell it, and use the money to pay for a big expansion of industrial infrastructure in russia

and it isn't only that

ALL the Ukrainian people i have spoken to about their history, feel the russ have been screwing over them over for 1000 years (it's actually only about 700, but i never quibble) and are adamant that it isn't going to happen ever again. everybody: kids, girls, old men...

Interesting war plan if true.

Russia would use missile forces to disrupt Ukraine forces and infrastructure but not physically move into Ukraine beyond what Russian forces are not so secretly in the Donbas.

This would force Ukraine and NATO to attack Russia within Russia's borders. Any attack on Russian soil, including Crimea, would escalate hostilities to open warfare.

IMO, this essentially checkmates NATO involvement directly against Russia.

Not sure.... aerospace force. What does that mean. Yes, it could mean missiles but maybe not. What about DEWs? Is that what it means? Low yield nukes? I have a bad feeling. What about US.NATO in the Black Sea? Ukraine only or all of the Black Sea?

KYIV, Nov 20 (Reuters) - A ship carrying two refitted former U.S. Coast Guard patrol boats designed to beef up the Ukrainian Navy transited the Dardanelles strait on Saturday days after Ukraine said it feared Russia might be preparing an attack on it.

The ship carrying the two Island-class patrol boats departed Baltimore for the Ukrainian port of Odessa on Nov. 8. Ukrainian sailors have already undergone extensive training on the vessels in the United States. Ukraine got two similar vessels in 2019.

The two new boats are part of a security package to Ukraine worth over $2.5 billion since 2014, the year when Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula and Russian-backed separatists seized a swath of eastern Ukraine, the U.S. embassy in Kyiv says.

The United States, Ukraine and NATO have accused Russia of threatening behaviour towards Kyiv in recent weeks alleging that it has built up its forces in proximity to Ukraine in an unusual way.

Russia says it has the right to move its troops anywhere it wants on its own territory and is not planning to attack anyone.

The Kremlin said in September that NATO would cross a Russian red line if it expanded its military infrastructure in Ukraine, and Moscow has since accused Ukraine and NATO of destabilising behaviour, including in the Black Sea. read more

Kyiv lost most of its Black Sea naval power after the annexation of Crimea when Russia seized much of its navy. It has since been trying to rebuild its navy with the help of NATO countries.

The U.S. State Department this summer approved the potential sale to Ukraine of up to 16 Mark VI patrol boats and equipment for an estimated $600 million.

Ukraine, which strives to become a NATO member, received a large consignment of U.S. ammunition earlier this year and Javelin anti-tank missiles, prompting criticism from Moscow which has said it has serious security concerns about the prospect of Ukraine joining NATO one day.

To be successful the US/NATO would have to think like Capitalists. The West can sell high amounts of missiles to Ukraine to counter incoming "aerospace" forces and perform similar strikes into Russia from Ukraine. Ukrainian manpower, US weapons, and we make money to counteract that Build Back Better program Biden just made law *facepalm*.
