Here's some recent pics from a cool rock formation and a real nice little malachite deposit that we found. Not too artistic I guess but I'm still waiting for my D-300 (please, Santa)...

I like 'em...very nice work...rock formation is sorta reminiscent of something you might see at Garden of the Gods in Colorado...

cont'd.. the bottom one is the vein of malachite. I'm heading back there with a rock hammer and chisel.

thanks. I can't wait to get a good camera. My point and shoot just doesn't capture the detail.

couple more... A better one of the rocks and a mine shaft that was big enough for me to drive my truck in - I decided not to though.

I shoot almost all of mine with a D50, R2G! Cameras, I mean. They're practically free, it's the lenses that cost you...but they're worth it!
