Are there really any democrats that want to work 40 hours a week, much less 50? Irregular hours and all the rest on top of it?

Why do I have a feeling they are going to have a tough time filling those positions and that turnover is going to be astronomical? LOL. Mall cops need not apply.
Might be a way to get illegals to do what Americans won't do.

I think some of you are reading way more into this than needed. The IRS is one of the hardest agencies to get into. Your basic thug isn't going to pass the background and fiance checks and that culture isn't going away anytime soon. As far as the boilerplate about carrying a gun, extra hours, and shooting people? Standard for all federal agents. Someone in HR worded that poorly. That being said, the agents that do pass, are coming for you.

Well sitting out in 100+ degree weather trying to make $100 if lucky on things I already bought probably 10x that amount including tax to eliminate things I no longer use is surely not worth the money they hire for these agents!

How about hiring guards to Protect public schools instead! I’d be in favor of that. Oh yes, that doesn’t fit into their agenda!

They're not going to have any trouble filling those positions. Don't even kid yourselves.
Could make the positions qualify for student loan forgiveness and if they modify to make it worth more or pay off quicker...they will have said positions filled faster than we care to imagine.

Policies to promote external rebalancing differ based on individual economies’ positions and needs. For economies with larger-than-warranted current account deficits that reflect large fiscal shortfalls, such as the United States, it’s critical to reduce government deficits with a combination of higher revenue and lower spending.

Finally not a lurker!
They will definitely jump on that paycheck! That will be the ONLY form of exertion and action their new “employer” will get out of them because then they will just sit on their @sses and get paid…and get away with it just like they get away with everything else.
They will have some sort of quota to meet, one way or another.

That and someone said recently, in another thread here at TBK, that they are going to go after the gangs and cartels... we'll see how well this works out for them.
Nope...

The cartels are running the border for the DNC/DS.

And China helping them hold power....

The IRS doesn't need a warrant for entry into a house, right?

They are creating a police force that can enter without a warrant.
edited as I hit the wrong button. They already have that. Game wardens/DNR doesn't need a warrant.

My experience with the IRS started in 1999. At that time, I had a computer repair/build service. The internet was relatively new with widespread development of ‘business sites’, so I chose to develop a site for my local business a year or so earlier.

I received an email one day from New York, purporting to be from the IRS, requesting my full name, social security number, DOB, et. al. I immediately thought such a request as spam… even back then so I contacted my local IRS office and inquired if this was an accurate request. They responded that ALL IRS communication was via mail or certified mail.

The email requests became more frequent and threatening so I contacted my District Attorney office for investigation. They contacted the IRS and was told the same… no communication is requested via Email and I had no ‘active case’ against my business (part time as I worked full time as a paramedic).

Long story short… The IRS advised they were sending their Criminal Investigative Division to my home for resolution. I passed this information on to the DA, and my DA 1st asked if I was armed, and 2nd advised me ‘not to shoot’ until they breached my door as everything they could surmise was that ‘criminals’ were responsible for those emails sent, purportedly by the IRS as the IRS remained steadfast that they don’t do business via email. The DA remained on the phone with me during the entire event, and was directing local LEO response.

The IRS email agents arrived as promised as did the local Sheriff and PD who had a standoff in my front yard for several tense minutes.

My Senator was contacted, as he was one involved with IRS abuse investigations at the time, and brought my case up in the Senate.

I was audited and passed scrutiny but haven’t been audited since.

I still think about that day as it was very similar to the thread here involving the ATF agent and local PD (however I didn’t hear the phrase ‘don’t taze me bro’ as tasers weren’t in wide use at the time). I’ve never washed the piss stain off my front porch, even throw it has faded after 23 years. I still see the stains even though no one else can.

Remember… support your local government agents, DA and Sheriff as they ARE the stop gap for federal intrusion.

Why an IRS Army?

Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., the chairman of the powerful House Ways and Means Committee, said Democrats would seek to boost both corporate and individual tax rates if they kept control of the House following the upcoming midterm elections in November, according to Bloomberg reporter Erik Wasson. Neal added that Democrats could seek to revive previously proposed overhauls of the tax code to raise federal revenue and pay for major spending programs.

In the Age of Inflation, can they resist the Wealth Tax, a tax on all unearned income, the annual increased value of all assets: Stocks, Retirement Plans (401K, IRAs,etc.), Real Estate, Auto, PMs, etc.

Undeclared Assets will require door to door audits.

The Motherlode is the immense cumulative wealth of the Middle Class.

Hmmm, do they need an army?

China pares back holdings of U.S. Treasuries for 7th month

(CORRECTED - In Aug 15 story, removes incorrect reference in paragraph 11 to 10-year Treasury yield falling in June)

NEW YORK, Aug 15 (Reuters) - China slashed holdings of U.S. Treasuries for a seventh consecutive month in June, Treasury department data released on Monday showed, with investors closely tracking this measure in the wake of tensions between the world's two largest economies involving Taiwan.

China's stash of U.S. government debt dropped to $967.8 billion in June, the lowest since May 2010 when it held $843.7 billion. In May, the world's second biggest economy had $980.8 billion in Treasuries, data showed. China's hoard of U.S. debt has seen multiple 12-year lows the last few months.

"This looks more likely a function of Chinese FX intervention to keep USD/CNY stable in a strong dollar environment," said Chris Turner, global head of markets at ING.

"A further decline in China's U.S. Treasury holdings looks likely as geopolitical spheres of influence sharpen after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the seizure of Russian FX reserves.

Since hitting a roughly 20-month high in mid-May, the U.S. dollar has been largely stable against the Chinese yuan, sliding about 1%. The dollar was last up 0.5% at 6.7755 yuan.

There is an added wrinkle between U.S.-China relations involving Taiwan, a self-governed island China claims as its own, but that is not reflected just yet in the data, which covers the June numbers. In early August, U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy visited Taiwan, the highest level U.S. official to visit the territory in 25 years, prompting China's outrage.

China later announced it was halting dialogue with the United States in a number of areas, including between theater-level military commanders and on climate change, in a furor over Pelosi's visit.

Data also showed Japan increased its holdings of Treasuries to $1.236 trillion in June, from a revised $1.224 trillion in May. The Treasury report released in July showed Japan had $1.213 trillion in Treasuries for the month of May.

Overall, foreign holdings of Treasuries rose to $7.430 trillion in June from a revised $7.426 trillion in May.

On a transaction basis, U.S. Treasuries saw net foreign inflows of $58.9 billion in June, compared with inflows of $99.84 billion the previous month. U.S. Treasuries have posted foreign inflows for a second straight month.

The inflows were generally in line with price action in the Treasuries market. The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield started June at 2.9310%, and ended the month at 2.974%.

The Federal Reserve raised benchmark rates by 75 bps in June and July and is on track to hike rates again in September to tame inflation.

In other asset classes, foreigners sold U.S. equities in May for a sixth straight month amounting to $25.36 billion, from outflows of $9.15 billion in May.

U.S. corporate bonds posted inflows in June of $13.99 billion in June, compared with $4.46 billion the previous month. Foreigners were net buyers of U.S. corporate bonds for six straight months.

The data also showed U.S. residents once again sold their holdings of long-term foreign securities, with net sales of $50.5 billion in June, from sales of $22.8 billion in May.

Notice the scenario in this IRS recruiting program is “taking down a landscape business owner who failed to properly report how he paid for his vehicles,” not “taking down a billionaire who uses the corporate jet for private trips.”

I know a lot of congressmen who make $174,000 a year, but have multi-million dollar vacation properties. IRS should be going after people like that.

Yet...Just a few days ago a left wing page on Facebook was promoting a meme telling people to look the other way if you see someone shoplift from businesses. They said that the business owners are rich so it doesn't hurt them. I guess it is only alright to "steal" when it fits your narrative.
