Help Raw honey or colloidal silver for infected toe?

Hi there, I'm dealing with an infected toe. It's right on the side of the toenail - almost as if there was an ingrown nail that got infected. I'm fairly certain it is staph. I just can't bear to go another round of antibiotics.

I have both raw honey from my next door neighbor and a little bottle of colloidal silver on hand. I've tried the colloidal today - applied it to a bandage, then applied the bandage. I've done this three times so far and the pain is pretty bad.

What do you think? Continue on the silver for another day? Switch to the honey? Alternate?

Thanks,
Emily

I have no experience with the silver but this year when I sliced the very tip of my finger off raw honey healed it miraculously fast. It's hard to even tell now that I did it.

Have you lanced it to drain it? Have you soaked it in Epsom salt water?

After you do those things, try covering it with plantains to get the swelling down and comfrey to aid healing. (It's probably growing in your yard. It's one of those typical weeds that pops up in walkways everywhere.)

You can still alternate with honey and silver.

ETA : Storebought honey, with the exception of certified organic, is just corn syrup and antibiotics. Use on real honey. Or as a last resort, plain sugar.

Do you have any garlic on hand? Add a handful of plain salt to a couple cups water. You can use colloidal silver in place of the water, if you can afford it. Crush up a couple cloves raw garlic, and simmer them in the salt water for ten minutes or so. If possible, add some essential oil of oregano, OR a couple tablespoons oregano or thyme to the infusion.

Soak the affected area for ten minutes at a time, using the soak as hot as you can stand it. (Don't burn yourself!)

Repeat several times a day. You can reuse the soak for several used as long as there is no drainage.

If redness or swelling gets worse, or if you see a red line beginning to spread up the foot, it's time to see the doctor.

I use this soak (with essential oils and calendula petals added) all the time, and it works.

thank you everyone. I used a combination of the colloidal and the honey. It's fine now. The thing never drained, though and nothing would come out when prodded after soaking. Who knows.
