HEALTH quercetin absorption

i am trying to replenish everything in my body as i recover.

i am a little confused about the best way to do the quercetin. as i look, i am finding very conflicting information on it.

the form i have currently is quercetin dihydrate. that is said to have the highest bioavailability for supplements.

but i run into confusion on the best way to boost absorption and performance of it. should it be taken with water? should it be taken with fat?

does anyone know and have some solid information about this? from what i have been reading, there are good arguments for both.

thanks

The best absorption of Quercetin is realized when taken with food. I would suggest eating a meal with fat in it and taking Quercetin after the meal. Taking it with an oil, like fish oil is not recommended. The fat is what aids in the absorption of Quercetin.

see, now i have been reading that some are now recommending to take it with and oil. that is somehow increases the absorption.

why is it not recommended to take it with an oil?

seriously, not trying to be difficult! there is just so much conflicting info right now on it.

and I quote to increase the amount of quercetin absorb it should be consumed with oil however matters are not that simple. It is true that quercetin gives many health benefits but in high concentrations it is potentially damaging therefore I am not keen on quercetin supplements in oil. And this is from researchers at the Institute of Food Research in Norway. But seriously do your own homework. What works for one may not work for another. I’m very conservative in my recommendations. I’d rather start cautiously evaluate the results and then move forward if necessary.

Quercetin will make me nautious unless I have eaten a few bites of food about the same time as I take it. So nowadays, I just take it with my supper.
Problem solved.

By the way, a company called Life Extension is among the best. They formulate their product to allow for high biological absorbancy. I take their product Bio-Quercetin.

Life Extension is a company out of Florida, and most of their products are manufactured domestically (though they sometimes must source their ingredients from other countries, when the ingredients are not available domestically.

They make a very wide variety of dietary supplements and other health aids. Their products are often more expensive than what you buy elsewhere because of the higher quality and more extensive quality control measures they take in the production process. However, one month a year, they run a big sale on almost every product they sell, where you can get as much as 40% off the normal cost.

And that month just happens to be right now - January.

They also give you the lowest price if you sign up for monthly deliveries.

I'm not a doctor! But when I've recovered, I've been more concerned about protein and good fats for energy, followed by probiotics if I took antibiotics. Remember that it takes awhile to build your levels back up. Try to avoid a set back with the common cold or the regular flu.
