Most of the "news" -- isn't. It's just more BS, as Doz states. Pie in the sky proposals that will be argued about in the do-nothing Congress until 2024, social stupidity, anti-science, climate swindles, and more lecturing to the people who are actually working.

Bah. Humbug.

Same old, same old.
Checking in on La Palma multiple times day, however.
We have made some major changes here, are in the middle of a move, and like Meemur said, simply too bust to stay glued to the screeen.

During the last 60-90 days our watch level jumped to the middle of the watchful into the lower end of glued to. Although we're not glued to the screen 24/7, we make many more frequent visits to our sites like this and have been spending more time following up the blubs we get from our feeds.

We've been blessed because we've been at the stage of working on the bigger and more costly things on our list for us and the kids families.

Other than the hit delays of getting in to see our Doctors, we've had less emergencies and have been doing normal rotation pattern of LTS. With the delay problems with many of the main vendors we use, we've had to scramble at times and get something similar but not the same, to fill the hole.

During the last 30 days because of the uncertainties introduced getting worse, I recently decided to not retire from my last contract by end of December. Instead am working on extending it for at least 6 months. If the economy goes like I'm afraid it will and inflation gets even worse, I want the extra and new income and the opportunity to not have use our long term retirement assets sooner than desired.

The added flexibility is also because my gut tells me that Blundering Joe is reaching his usefulness to the American communists party- formally known as Democrats and before next summer will have a sudden illness and with his replacement the ongoing civil war will escalate.

I'm pretty much glued to the screen. This go round, I really think we're heading into very ugly, uncharted waters. Economic collapse, failure of the current administration to do anything good for the country, collapse of the supply chain which seems to be growing exponentially, etc.

I'm not usually that much of a doomer, but what we're experiencing in this country is unprecedented, except perhaps around the American Revolution, Civil War, etc. I didn't think we'd get there, but I'm holding out hope that good will prevail....while I continue to prepare for the worst.

I stopped watching TV propaganda before 2020 election. I get news online but I'm not glued to it. I'm as prepared as I am able to be and will trust the Lord for the rest. I refuse to live in fear, but my level of concern for what's happening is higher than its been since 9/11. My concern is for those who are not prepared including many family members.

Right now the biggest issue is inflation coupled with lack of supplies all courtesy of whoever the puppeteer is pulling the senile old man's strings. Second concern is various enemies around the globe seeing how weak and vulnerable our country is due to same puppeteer/old senile man.

I’m as ready as I can be without sacrificing a life
I am more careful when out and about with crowds
I’m not buying everything in sight
Just doing the best I can
I’m not fretting this shit storm 24/7

I started prepping more than twenty years ago for any number of possible circumstances that could interrupt the supply chain and the just in time delivery system. During that time there have been several instances when the prepper community was on its toes, ready for the worst. I can remember years ago forum members (different forum) saying " the gig is up, if you haven't started prepping by now, you're too late". So i'm of the mind that its not too late to start, but it sure is late in the game, and that this time the gig really is up. I personally think the train comes off the tracks by January, We'll see.

Haha! It's continual/routine..like at least once/year.

That's why it's good to learn not to get stampeded, but to breathe for a minute and rationally look at your situation and needs..keeping well in mind that TEOTWAWKI might also turn out to be be something more mundane..like a big hospital bill, a wrecked car that still has 5 years of payments attached, a blown furnace, or a divorce/job loss.

Voted watchful and checking preps.
As Pastor Joe stated in his recent YouTube video, there’s nothing I can do about it any way.

Not glued to the screen, but keeping an eye on things as best I can. Canning what I have in the freezer and refilling it as I find sales. Getting the little things I have been putting off done.

Scanning, dividing input into “good to know, that’s a dot for sure” and “ok, that’s fearmongering”, but certainly not glued to screens, adding to the preps while trying to stay on the side of sanity.
Prepared as well as I can, and for the rest, que sera!

Not freeked out, but checking in here off and on throughout the day. News on the tv is worthless and I don't bother, even OAN. I'm prepped as best as I can, except for green beans, but working on that.

My personal plate continues too full to pay much mind to the great unwinding going on- but since being a novice student and observer of all things geopolitical is my release, I can't help but note that the game of musical chairs in this episode of the great game is ongoing.
More than anything, I am relieved to have a life times' POV validated, and to finally have the show inching closer to curtain time.
I must not be tracking things too closely though, as I can't find my inventory of LTS items, and just opened an "hey sweetie did you forget about me" note that wasn't from a romantic hopeful but my hay guy. Having forgotten to follow through on extra padding for the livestock pantry suggests I'm still at the 2ish level.

I don't think "freaked out" is the term that describes me. Yes I do think we are getting close to major issues but I am certainly not afraid. I am calmly gathering supplies and information but I would not check the box for "absolutely no worries" or even "a bit concerned". Even though I am calm, I do not think it fair to the purpose of this poll to check either of those first two boxes.

Watchful and staying tuned is how we are. There are a lot of precursors to a total worldwide sh*t show in place and in motion currently. Almost too many to list actually.

I somehow mislaid a 5 gallon bucket of dried Zucchini, you're not alone. :bhd:
Watchful, checking preps.

The pandemic and all the political ramifications including the mandates, the false election, executive orders, etc., etc..

These things have taken a shotgun to Charlotte's web.

Energy is the main leg of the three legged stool. We are seeing the collapse of the energy sector, this not just a national phenomena, it's going global. China has rolling blackouts, no coal. US taps the petroleum reserve. Fertilizer shortages. Winter and solar cycle max approaching, green new deal, rampant inflation, worker shortages and supply interruptions. Global economic collapse. This only the beginning, hang on!

I chose "glued to the screen" even though I'm not. My mental health just can't take it. I do expect something to happen soon...and pray that it doesn't. I just can't see any good coming out of the .gov right now.
