Kerry would have won if I had just kept my mouth shut. The story is that I have a dismal record of predictations. I have not correctly predicted an election, ball game, or anything else in over 20 years. In fact, my predictation can change the outcome. The Dallas Cowboys can be in the fourth quarter and leading by 20 points and if I say, "Looks like the boys are going to win" and at that very moment the game will change. The Cowboys will lose.
As most know, I vote anybody but dems or reps and don't believe anything would change no matter who won the Whitehouse. But yesterday at about 5:00pm, after reading all the expert opinion, seeing the commodity market numbers and reading the comments on rep and dem sites, I confidently predicted Kerry would win to my old buddy Moe. I know better than to interfere in elections by making predictions. My record is clear. But there is something about Moe and he gets one out of me. I mean, afterall, if the Red Sox can throw off their jinx then maybe I could too. But my record is intact.
So, the election was not about fraud, swift boats or gay marriage. It was me. And I apologize to Kerry and his supporters. I know that words are hardly enough but that is all I have.
All you democrats can do now is to move on to the next phase of the political cycle, impeachment.
