Fruit Picked our first fig of the season

I love figs! We have a huge fig tree, but the deep freeze we had over the past winter killed it. It's putting back out from the roots, so maybe we can salvage it. It'll be a while, before I can eat me some fresh figs, though.

My figs were knocked back by the unusually cold snap we had --lows in the mid teens(colder than usual for here--middle GA)
they are putting back out from the roots
I lost a few younger fruit trees ---apple -pear-cherry
however I picked fresh apples this week and will have a few more next week
Geneva crabapples this week and Pristine apples next week which is pretty early for middle GA

congrats on the fig--it will be a while before I get any

You can’t call them Figs anymore, My God it’s the 21st Century… they are now referred to as Fegroes…
