Very, very close to where I live. We have not had a drop of rain in two weeks. The ground is bone dry and the grass is turning brown. Mt. Pleasant Mills is a beautiful little village surrounded by Mennonite and Amish farms. Lots of horse and buggies. The women ride their bicycles in their long dresses to a little ice cream stand named “Howell’s.” The workers there wear tshirts with the slogan, “Howell’s - Hick it up a notch.”

Controlled burn? Now? Stupidity? No, I don’t think so. I’d call it malevolence. The Democratic Governor of PA hates the central part of this state.
The two light blue counties in the center? One has Penn State University. The other has Harrisburg. The fire is in Snyder county, one of the dark reds.

Who knows? They logged up there a couple years ago, and there's nothing up that way except a 5G cell tower. And a couple camps.
