Oops, he is leaving right now. He said there was a deliberate deception by somebody involved with the exit polls. Dick Morris said that exit polls are the most accurate type of polling and for them to get it so wrong yesterday afternoon, that there had to be some shenanigans going on.

Said he had never known an exit poll to be wrong. That he had used them as a check on the "official" reports of foreign elections. Could be the pollsters, could be the networks, or it could be by flooding the right polls with the right voters at the appropriate time.

I heard the reason the exit polls favored Kerry so heavily during the day was because the Republicans actually work during the day and hadn't voted yet.

I wondered the same thing about the exit polls. If you look at the hourly chart on election day the markets sure didn't like what the exit polls had to say. Wouldn't surprise one bit if a person/group was out there spinning the early results.

I wasn't asked yesterday by an exit pollster - but I promise you had I been I would have lied my butt off.

Because I'm sick of them trying to call an election or (i feel) influence an election before most people have even voted. (because of the time change as you go out west among other things). Just let the people vote, and let things fall as they may.

You are far from being alone. Voters are getting quite weary of being asked to help call the election before the votes are actually counted. So they lie to the exit pollsters. No crime in that, obviously.
