It's 72 degrees with a fluffy white clouded blue sky!

Spring break begins tomorrow, but--of course--when you teach in a private school, that doesn't always mean time off! LOL! But it does mean less children for the next week, so that means time to clean, organize and prepare. We are starting to prep for graduation season which means testing, PTC's and practice for the big day! The year is flying by so fast.

Dinner will be Cheese burgers and French fires.

How about you? Share a square or just "What's for dinner?"

We had pizza for lunch, and that's really filling for me. So maybe just a hamburg and salad for dinner.

I hesitate every week about posting what we're having, because on Sundays, it almost always going to be carry-out pizzas for supper. I don't want to sound like a broken record every week. I do love to see what everyone else is having, because it gives me ideas for the week ahead.

Sounds good to me!! lol!
We’re having steak and French fries!

Kroger has New York strips on sale so I splurged and two for 8$ each.

I don’t know about the rest yet :)

Up late (sleep deficit) and the day's work is laundry and food prep and whatever else I can drag/prod myself into doing (because headache).

The dinner PLAN is to have boneless pork chops, cranberry sauce (DH made that yesterday or it probably wouldn't have gotten done), and then???? I can roast some red potatoes (we have sour cream to go with), I can roast some sweet potatoes, there is a squash that's been sitting there on the counter since last October or so, and I have Romaine lettuce so I could always make a salad. Dessert is a mostly keto orange pound cake. (DH does the glaze and he insists on using real sugar for that.)

(Earlier this week I made my second pound cake using the King Arthur's keto muffin mix. I opted for the orange pound cake with no fruit, and while certainly edible, DH thinks I should have added more orange extract. (I was winging it; I only used a bit over 1 tsp.) The next pound cake that I try will be a chocolate one, maybe in two weeks as I want a change of dessert next time, something cheese-cake-y. But the King Arthur's mix is a definite win, which I am reiterating (for those who may have missed it last week, and who are on a keto diet). https://www.amazon.com/King-Arthur-Purpose-Serving-Friendly/dp/B0B4169MH7 )

Life is better in flip flops
It's nice and sunny here today. DH is working nights this weekend and sleeping days so no walks together this weekend. I made beef burritos for dinner with rotel and colby jack cheese. I'm not really a fan but DH loves them. I may make myself a wedge salad to eat later on this evening.
I pray everyone has a blessed week!

Neither here nor there.
Today is our 23rd anniversary so we are cooking ribs in the oven... because my part of central Iowa just crept into the extreme drought conditions so we won't be bbq'ing anytime soon... with homemade baked beans, homemade succatash, coleslaw and may be some dinner rolls or cornbread. All while working on deep cleaning the kitchen.

Dinner will be slow cooked pork roast, asparagus, fried salad, cheesy scalloped potatoes and ice cream for dessert.

My DW has been buying the mixed salad creations at Krogers, rinsing the salad adding seasoning and a little oil and then frying the salad and meat in her electric skillet that she didn't want to buy until one day with me at Walmart she choose an Oster 16" x 12" electric skillet with a tilt up lid which works very well. She cooks meat and veggies in the electric skillet regularly. The electric skillet is great for frying or scrambling eggs and frying bacon or ham. My DW will also make white gravy in the electric skillet which I mainly devour with some on bread for the furr buddies.

We need a new electric skillet for her new stove wasn't yet installed due to redoing the floor in the kitchen which I now have to do in the breakfast room. The new Forno propane stove was installed last month and is starting to get used, but not all of the time. It maybe be that if you use the stove, you have to clean it which I normally do most of the stove cleaning.

Keep the DW's happy and your DW will keep you happy.

Happy Anniversary Packy
All those pork roast are making me miss my Mom's gravy. She was just the best darn cook for plain cooking.
I rewarded myself at lunch for getting the tax done and mailed to Acct. So I ordered a turkey melt combo from Farmer Boys. I dont even want to think about how much it cost from doordash. Also had some Mrs. Cavanaugh's
Chocolates for desert. Think I will cease and desist for the rest of the day.

Warm but very windy here today --middle GA--had 2 1/2 inches of rain Friday/Saturday
I have some traps out for beavers--they have flooded about 4 acres of my little place
Well I had a large (barely fit in the trap--330 conibear--) alligator snapping turtle in one of the traps
he was not very happy and was a pain to get out without killing him/her but I managed to get it out and still have all of my fingers
I sprayed --as best I could --my fruit trees

the evening meal was pork ribs cooked the the slow cooker---- mustard and turnip greens along with mashed up turnip roots and FINALLY the first asparagus (after 2 years of waiting) and cornbread
all vegetables were fresh from the garden and orchard

Corned beef and savoy cabbage, taters and carrots. It’s been snowing all day. I sewed some pillows and I have been trying to learn some pattern fitting & alteration techniques all day. It’s a good thing dinner took care of itself in the crockpot because I’ve been focused (and a little grumpy) trying to figure some stuff out. I’ll catch up reading all your meals and goings on with my coffee in the morning.

I love me some French fires as long as they’re not too hot. Hate what happened to Notre Dame, though.

Still a little chilly for March so I did 1/2 gallon of Cheddar Broccoli soup yesterday (Bear Creek brand from the store) of course I steamed 2 crowns of broccoli and added a cup of shredded sharp cheddar and diced up 2 cups of Hempler's ham and threw it all in.

Half in the fridge, half in the freezer. You know they say that soups get better the next day because the flavor's meld I'll know in an hour.

We went out to eat at IHOP. I always lover their whole grain pancakes, of course they don't have them anymore, so I don't need to got there any more. What I did have was tasty though, fried chicken on a biscuit with white gravy and hash browns. It was good but completely fell apart.

I quit going to popeyes because the didn't have their chicken wrap anymore and can't think of the name of the chicken place that is closed on Sunday, but they discontinued their chicken salad, so I don't go there anymore either.

Gloomy and drizzly day. Some wet slush fell overnight but was gone by afternoon. Supposed to be more of the overnight and early tomorrow morning.

Dinner was leftover baked ground beef and vegetables over rice. Ground beef, yellow onion, jar garlic, white mushrooms, and broccoli. Rice was jasmine.

Hope you all have a good week.

On TB every waking moment
I had l/o homemade marinara sauce with meat & mushrooms, fresh zucchini added & spaghetti.

For some reason, I bought a bunch of chunks of meat with the SS check and had to cook them all up. I have a whole Chicken roasted in Orange sauce; a pork butt roasted in sweet & sour sauce; and a pot roast with potatoes & fresh carrots. I still have spaghetti sauce, but will freeze that Now I will dine on pre-cooked left overs for the rest of the month.

I signed up for a half box of fresh veggies from a local farm 2X a month. I have more fresh zukes; asparagus, an avocado; beans; and some apples left. I ate the cucumber with creamy Caesar dressing for breakfast the other day. I am going to make apple crisp with the apples. I figured it was wise to make ties with local farmers while I could.

Veggie seedlings are ready to harden off and put in cups. When it stops raining this week, I'll be doing that. Guess I will have lots of stir fry this summer.

Some of the half that I froze went into a flat tupperware sealable thing that I took to work this morning in my backpack. The idea was that it wouldn't leak because it was still frozen by the time I got to work. I was right on that part. I left it in my locker to thaw until noon which it did. Then I nuked it for 1 minute and found out that the flavours didn't meld as I thought they would. The cubed ham had a texture and chewiness of rabbit-if you've ever had that and no flavour. So I'm going to call that a mistake. The ham had been previously frozen and thawed so maybe that has something to do with it.

I haven't gotten to the refrigerated part yet. Oh, thanks all for the likes all!
