Over the last few weeks you threatened to move to Canada or another country if Bush won.

It appears he won by 4million votes where it has been one of the highest voter turnout since the 1960 election (IIRC). That sounds like a fairly stong "will of the people statement".

While the Electoral College is still up in the air, you aren't going to let a technicality like that stop you. Are you?

Time to start packing your sh*t.

Thought the high voter turnout was supposed to benefit the Democratic Party. Sure heard that a lot early in the returns. No media bias, no sir :rolleyes: Texian

And this is the great flaw in democracy. It is not and has never been, a barometer of truth.
This country is on the verge of massive failure ( the dollar, etc.) after only a couple hundred years. If tomorrow’s history will be surprised at anything it will be that we rose and fell in record time.
This republic that shouts democracy is in actuality a capitalistic society that is fueled by that democracy. Capitalism is greed and that greed is justified and promulgated by this ‘democracy’.
So please let’s not banter about that we are a great people with God on our side. One look at the history of this country from Columbus’s slaughter of the Arawaks in the name of ‘christianity’ to our genocide of the Native Americans in the name of ‘christiantiy’, to the expansionism of Spanish American War and on and on dictates differently.
Would Gore have been any better. We simply don’t know. What we do know is that our expansionism is finally catching up with us and our days are numbered. A sad legacy really for a country that could have changed the world for the better if its basic greed had not gotten in the way.

Sorry, we closed the border here to anymore Liberals. We have more than our share already. I would like to have my voice heard at least once before I die. In other words, no more Liberals, No more Liberal Government. Time is short for me, I am already 47, I don't have many years left. And don't be sending us any of your Hollyweird people either. I honestly think that if the draft is reinstituted, that warfare will break out here. Any adult that flees to Canada instead of fighting for the U.S. will NOT be allowed back into the new Republic. They can stay in Canada with socialism while the folks who stayed and fought for the U.S. enjoy the new Republic!!!!

And if <i>two</i> out of every hundred voters had voted the other way the Will of the People would have been such that the Bush family would be packing their bags.

Whom he would sadly but relunctantly risk to defend the safety and liberty of this country -- but NOT to die a meaningless death 10,000 miles away, in a pointless war started by foolish, greedy egomaniacs. And that seems to be the US's favorite type of war over the last several years.
