Yep. As I said in chat remember the Truman /Dewey contest of 1948 .Tommorrow when the final precient voting figures are in may change everything. Then add the provisional ballots, and absentee ballots it's anyone's race. Pray for divine intervention so we can keep the Godless Commie Kerry out of the white house.

I just posted this on the election forum. This would be IMO the "worst-case scenario".

Bush took 278 EVs in 2000. If he gets them all again, he wins 278-260.

He either has or is leading in all the states he took in 2000 except for NH and NV. NH and NV combined have 9 EVs....

Bush is catching up 49-50% in both Iowa and Wisc.

May be we will wake up and it will all be a bad dream or go away like Y2K.

Amazed

Does too have a life!
Fox did give NH to Kerry. Hey - I tried. :bwl: Maine's EV's are split 3 for Kerry, 1 for Bush. Bush is ahead in NM and closing the gap quickly in Michigan.

And West Virginia will split 4 for Bush and 1 for Kerry. Back to a tie... Looks like a plan...

Keep in mind that what's being (sorta) reported is the usual inperson voting. There's still early votes, absentees, and provisionals to be counted.

Prolly each state may be different but the timeline order here in AZ is ballot (fairly immediate), absentee (a week or so), early vote (week), provisional (likely a month if there are no serious legal challenges). Those could make a diff in a really close state.

Bush is going to win.........Here's how I know.....

For 10 whole minutes - Bush and Cheney were ahead of Kerry/Edwards in Washington state!! :shkr:
THIS IS UNHEARD OF IN THE LIBERAL LEFT COAST!!!! :sht: :D

And - at this very moment.....Bush is trailing Kerry in Washigton state by only a few percentage points!

If it can get this close on the west coast - then Bush has it in the bag!

Congratulations on possibly the most illogical reasoning for projecting a state I've ever seen.

Early results often are skewed based on which precincts report first. Often early reports come from smaller precincts in rural areas where Bush would be expected to lead. It's not "unheard of", it's normal.

And - at this very moment.....Bush is trailing Kerry in Washigton state by only a few percentage points!

He's trailing 53-46, which is right around where most of the polls were for WA this past week.

Why not just say Bush will win because he's ahead in New Mexico? You can even say he's ahead by a VAST MAJORITY if you want.

I want to congratulate CNN on their great website.......

I have been following the results online all night - state by state and county by county.......No way GWB can lose now as of 11:28 pm MST.

New Mexico - Bush has a growing lead of 23,000 with 86% reporting = 5 EVs

Iowa just went from Kerry to Bush by a 5,000 lead with 91% reporting = 7 EVs

Ohio - Bush leads by 130,000 with 90% reporting = 20 EVs

Much better overall than they/we/most people expected......with 246 votes right now and the above EVs, he will have 278 plus maybe Hawaii and that doesn''t include Nevada which is plugging along at almost even.

I predict at 11:32 that GW Bush will be the next US President - hey, I beat out all the news networks :D

Aleph.....

You just have to understand the logic of Washington state to understand how illogical a momentary Bush lead is!!

My God! It was invigorating for those 10 minutes!!!!!!! :D :D

Rigged to tie

Elsewhere: >So it looks like Bush is gonna win the US election.

The rigged pre-electon polls, the rigged electronic voting, and the candidates (both Skull & Bones members, both pro-Israel, both pro-war, both determined to avoid any pre-election discussion of _real_ issues) were put in place NOT so one or the other Repub/Dem could clearly win.

It didn't matter whether Bush or Kerry won - they are two faces of the same evil.
What mattered, was that there be no chance for the US people to demonstrate any large anti-war majority of opinion. No way to demonstrate to themselves, to learn by the numbers, that the majority strongly oppose the present US course of action.

So the whole sham was staged to produce the appearance of a neck and neck race, with 'other' candidates (like Nader) rarely seen, and barely showing a result.

>Life SUCKS.
>
>REALLY SUCKS.

Yes. However, things haven't even begun to suck like they're going to soon.

With the slight correction, that life itself is very fine, but vast conspiracies of corporate evil and wealth do REALLY, REALLY suck.

If the people don't buy this, today is the first day of the Second American Revolution.

Here's a paranoid thought...

Do you think that maybe they are trying to stall announcing the winner because of fears of terrorism?
