While watering my orchids I snapped one of the stems. It's hanging on by a thread and is in bloom. Is there a way to graft it together or is it a lost cause? Thanks!

Good question I'm not really sure.

I have good luck splinting broken stalks and stems with a wrap that can be kept a little damp. Like maybe gauze inside of cling wrap.Tie a splint on either side of the stalk, as tightly as you can without indenting the stalk. Don't worry for a few days about the stalk growing bigger in diameter. Then loosen it a little if it looks like the plant is saved.

Even if the stalk doesn't heal, maybe you can keep the plant healthy until it's finished blooming.
