FOX reporting Kerry has called Bush with concession

Just heard this on Fox - they are working to verify it now.

Wow! Okay... that's worthy of some respect... I'm not gonna call him flipper henceforth, that's all past...

WHEN he concedes, he will have shown more class than I gave him credit for.

It's nice to see that my track record is still alive.

Seriously -

Give Kerry some credit - he did he right thing for the country - and we owe him thanks for that.

"With a bigger majority, we can do even more exciting things," said House Majority leader Tom DeLay, a Republican from Texas.

i wonder if those things will cost more? this should be an interesting two years to watch government grow.

don't blame me. i voted Libertarian.

Yes heard that on ABC but my puter went offline just as I was posting a few mins ago.

Good move from him to save the country the pain of the Gore moves but will his democrates follow his move or will they force their lawsuits like threatened?

I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. I went and laid down for 1 hour since I stayed up all night watching Edwards give a victoy speech after Bush clearly had it and now Kerry conceeds. I must say that I am shocked that he actually conceeded. If in fact he does, I do THANK HIM for doing this now instead of dragging this nation into further division for months on end. :)

I guess John Titor was wrong

You say that like you think everything is just hunky dory now.

Well it isn't. We are still in a big mess and anything could still happen. Just because Kerry conceeds does not mean the American people are going to just sit back and take getting their freedoms taken away and children sent to war by Bush.

If Bush continues on with his war mongering this could be what causes a big uprising in the public which in turn causes the gov to crack down and the division between cities and countryside follows.

"I guess John Titor was wrong"

i still think that remains to be seen also. I admit my theory has crashed and burned as it looks now. BUT there are still a lot of factors that could tee off his war. for instance the dem's could now have the stolen election fever worse than ever. Some dem's, including my father are screaming foul and conspirocy already.

we are still terribly fractured over very emotional issues. it is still a possibility.

I'm a diehard democrat who supported Kerry, but I am glad that he is conceding and not pursuing the uncounted ballots here in Ohio. Even if every uncounted ballot here went for him, he'd still lose the popular vote nationwide, and I think that is how it should be decided anyway. I'm not bitter or upset, the people have spoken in my opinion and they say Bush, and I'll accept that.

On a side note that might make many of you conservatives giggle a little, my fil is a lifelong democrat, the man bleeds AFL-CIO blue. I'm getting him a Clinton/Obama 2008 t-shirt for Christmas. A woman and a black man on the same ticket just might make him a republican. He's already upset with the PGA for just this type of thing! Now, I don't condone racism or sexism, I'd vote that ticket in a heartbeat, but he's an old man raised in a different time but I truly believe deep down he's not really either, but it's really fun to tease him about it and he plays the part with me just to get me riled up so I'll argue with him.
