OK Fellow Republicans! Gloat here and lets get it over with. I feel like a dog that just caught a car. Now what do we do besides piss on the tires. We have the White House, Senate, House and several upcoming appointments to the Supreme Court.

We better damn well produce or else we are dead meat in 4 years.

I am still in shock!

I went to bed praying Bush would win, but really thought Kerry was going to be the victor. And I prayed that at least my state would be a RED state, but didn't get my hopes up on that one with all of the dirty tricks...er...I mean...methods that the Dems were using.

You could have knocked me over with a wink this morning. Not only was my state of Florida a clean red state, but Bush stays in the White House.

Praise God is all I can say.

I appreciate all of those who voted differently, and I would fight to the death to keep that right for you to do so. We are Americans. And as far as Bin Laden goes... Bring it on!

i just had to go visit a friend at the state right-to-life office this afternoon to have a celebratory conference. it was great to jump up and down with glee and let loose a rip-roaring shout of victory! left me smiling for the next hour "0)

and i haven't spent much effort in adding to threads here tonite. just reading and enjoying the bitterness and angst of the LOSERS...
and to think i have 4 more years of relishing their griping and muttering and gnashing of teeth. it boogles my mind. i did not ever think politics could make me this happy

I prefer to gloat quietly. This weekend, I'm going to see a friend who waste--I mean spent the last several months running around putting up Kerry signs, etc. And I know him well enough to know that if Kerry had won, he would have rubbed it in. (In fact, I was prepared to simply keep repeating the mantra, "we didn't come here to discuss politics.")

Thankfully, Bush won, which means he'll be quiet, and I'm the one who gets to decide whether we are going to discuss politics, and I've already decided we're not going to.

(And if he gloats about what a gracious loser Kerry was, and that Bush wouldn't have been that graceful, I'll just tell him, "we didn't come here to discuss politics.")

Incidentally, my Bush lawn signs came down at exactly 8:00 last night when the polls closed, so the lawn now sports the apolitical look.

I'm happy that GW won. I've put many volunteer hours in to the Bush/Cheney campaign. But I am having a hard time gloating. For whatever reason. Maybe it was because of the mass depression of about 40% of the people I work with. I have a hard time rubbing it into the face of people who were so passionate about their particular candidate - who worked as hard if not harder than I for their beliefs.

However, there is one particular neighbor who owes me a fine bottle of tequila, and who deserves a good dose of gloating. I plan on cashing in!

As I said in another thread, I am very optomistic, now, that we can go to the table and forge some reasonable, practical solutions to natural resource issues in our region. If Kerry had won, it would have been another six-months to a year delay as they shook out the new administration. There would also have been an uncompromising power vested in the radical left, which would probably have meant that we would have had to walk from the table and dug our heals in to fight for our lives and property.

With another 4 years for Bush and a strong Republican Congress, we might just be able to turn this sucker back into the sunrise!

a protest vote with the current political situation is a wasted vote and in a lot of cases ends up being a vote for the greater of the 2 evils...

With that being said... as many of you know, I am not happy with Bush's domestic policy... I voted for him simply because I agree with the WOT... I am going to make a resolution to get involved with the Libertarian Party and try and help them on the local level... I honestly think the key to gaining prominence for a 3rd party is to start from the bottom up and I'm going to do what I can in the next 4 years...

But today, after listening to FOUR YEARS OF RAVING BULLSHIT.....

After keeping my head down, and my mouth shut amidst the most amazing storm of vitriolic, mindless hatred...

After risking my college career if I even opened my mouth to voice my political leanings..

After they kicked in my fender because I had a Bush sticker on my truck...

After they ripped down the American flags in classrooms I attend, even though they were simply donated to the school...

After feeling like a complete alien amongst opposing thoughts, emotions, and ethos...

After watching people walk away, calling me "Ignorant", and having a philosophy professor tell me "Go **** yourself, and I hope you die"....


I'm going to keep laughing...

Here is my prediciton for some of what will happen in the next four years: When President Bush does not reinstate the draft, start a nuclear war, strip us of all of our civil liberties, etc. etc., the people making these wild claims will not apologize or admit they were wrong. They will just make up more baseless claims, and get angry when anybody challenges them.
