WASHINGTON - What gets under Barack Obama's skin?

Criticism of his wife, Michelle Obama.

In an interview with Glamour magazine, Obama said attacks on his wife are "infuriating." The likely Democratic presidential nominee blamed the conservative press for going after his wife as if she were the candidate.

"If they have a difference with me on policy, they should debate me. Not her," Obama told the magazine.

An Associated Press-Yahoo poll suggests Michelle Obama has higher favorable ratings than Cindy McCain, wife of presumptive Republican nominee John McCain. However, Michelle Obama's unfavorable ratings are also higher.

Michelle Obama came under fire in February when she said she was proud of her country for the first time in her adult life. She later clarified her remark, saying she has always been proud of her country and was particularly proud to see so many people involved in the political process.

Obama said the attacks are ironic because his wife is "the most quintessentially American woman I know."

Michelle Obama, 44, has worked as a lawyer and hospital executive. The couple has two daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7.

The Internet has been a double-edged sword for the Obama campaign. While it's allowed them to organize supporters and raise millions of dollars, Obama said it's also provided a vehicle for rumors and myths to spread quickly.

"It's very hard to catch up," he said.

Glamour's editor-in-chief also interviewed McCain. Full interviews with both candidates were scheduled to appear in the magazine's October issue.

THis guy never tells a joke. He is a humorless, puffed-up piece of ego, apparently with no accomplishments underneath to shore up his confidence. A very scary character to hand the nuclear football. Why in the world Brzezinski/Soros thought they could use him as their man in the oval office is beyond understanding. He is clearly not balanced. Balance comes from accomplishments in the real world modified with humility and humor. He has no legislative successes, no law papers of note, and has never even won a really contested election. The republican incumbant did not run again, and BO's only opponent was Alan Keyes, a man with virtually no political base in the State and very little in common with the mainstream voter of Illinois politics. Obama won with over 70% of the votes. Keyes wasn't a real contender, but still probably won twice as many votes as those who might be considered politically in his camp.

I suspect Obama is so touchy about comments about his ears, etc. because he is a very, very empty suit. He can't hold a position on anything from dawn until dusk. He will be a disaster at so many levels.

Yet, I still think he'll beat McCain.

Yes, it can get worse, and politics does matter. The elites, having driven the economy into a wall, now are determined to throw the wreck off a cliff.

Goes with the territory of any PUBLIC person. No one is immune. Having his wife step back some out of the limelight?? What's he got to hide?? While HE may be able to verbalize it all away, maybe we need to see what she has to say?? Might not be too pretty after a while but it would serve to get to the heart of the person(s) and possibly reveal some truths.

As his buttons get pushed more and more, we might actually have the opportunity to see the real Obama and what he is made of, eh? Since we all know that pillowtalk DOES have an impact on Presidential decisions just as much as 'other' advisors, doesn't hurt to understand that person a little too.

As far as his reference to lies, untruths, and crap from rumors on the internet - time for him to straighten them out with tangible truths, starting with his REAL birth certificate. Time for Obama to come clean about a lot of stuff, it just might make the difference in the election. Maybe THAT is what he truly fears???

He is who his upbringing mad him whether he realizes it or not. His complacency to RADICAL stuff is because he is cannot see the forest for the trees. All of his associations are the trees, to include the Arab family members and the schooling processes he began in his early ingram forming years ALL of his lifelong associations to date. All of those people and that stuff seem normal to him. He needs de-programmed, that will take years if it is accomplishable at all.

I hope all the super delegates are watching closely, maybe even reading websites like this one. THEY hold the first key with their selection process, we hold the second key with our vote.

Well I am back to watching Fox News because MSNBC is so in the bed with Obama I cannot bear it.

Last night O'Reilly had a good one.....regarding the Empty suit....
he said with Obama, you basically put your quarter in, turn the dial (like a bubblegum machine) and out comes the same thing time after time.

Then I heard Dick Morris say what I have been hearing on here forever--that
the Obama interviews are the same old same old and he does not want to debate because he is unable to function without a TELEPROMPTER! Somebody around here cannot remember who figured that one out ages ago.

And Sean Hannity was "called out" by name in the Glamour Magazine interview by Obama. Obama must have went so far to say Hannity would not say any of his digs to his face.And even though I still cannot stand Hannity, I was in his corner last night as he spoke directly into the camera and said Hey Obama, I will say it to your face!! You come on and you can sit in Alan Colmes chair. You come on my radio show, either of my Fox news shows, anytime, anyplace.
And if you don't want your wife spoken of, then she needs to quit being your surrogate and making campaign remarks.

I'm not a BO fan and I don't disagree with your message, but if you're going to circulate an email like that it should at least include the verses or commentary substantiating which versus led to that tidy description of a specific persons, else the message will backfire.
