Need help finding the proper Torque for a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid Oil Drain Plug. I've looked online but the hybrid model is not mentioned- just the LX, GX, 5 and 6 Speed models.
The last oil change I had done the !@@$$#@@% mechanic stripped the plug and the manager of the shop said I would need a new oil pan and gasket (quoted me $1000.00 !!). Needless to say I will never go back to that shop and have told several people about them.
A retired mechanic did a me a wonderful favor. He changed the oil and put in a heli coil which he was able to place inside the drain pan plug.
He told me to find out the proper/required torgue for the drain plug and make certain that whoever changes the oil next time MAKE CERTAIN they know it.
