My Wife Saves the Day

We had gone to Seminole,OK to visit and when we left, we began to smell fuel. When I pulled over, I found fuel leaking from under the fuel tank. Bad News! I jack up the car, but can only see that the fuel is running down from the top of the tank. I recalled that all other Toyotas I've had that used in-tank electric pumps built-in an access panel either in the trunk or under that back seat. I pull the back seat out and there it is, easy as pie. The fuel line fitting that attaches to the output on the fuel pump had popped loose, resulting in a serious leak. It was even soaked into the bottom of the seat.
There was no way to keep it from popping off, so my wife rides back there and holds the line in place like applying direct pressure to a GSW. Thanks to her we made it home instead of being afoot.
