Water is a big problem. Most don't give it high enough priority. It is easy to store 10 years worth of ammo but not water. If you run out of ways to make drinking water then your going to suffer. Chlorine, iodine and such are impossible to store long term. Even powdered pool shock will end up gassing out and damaging everything around it. Boiling is a workable plan but requires a lot of fuel and a fire that may guide unwelcome visitors to your location. The more ways to make drinking water the better. I make my own chlorine like chemical as I need it. With this kit if I have a 12 volt battery and salt I can make a chemical that is better than chlorine.
