Water long term water

Water is a big problem. Most don't give it high enough priority. It is easy to store 10 years worth of ammo but not water. If you run out of ways to make drinking water then your going to suffer. Chlorine, iodine and such are impossible to store long term. Even powdered pool shock will end up gassing out and damaging everything around it. Boiling is a workable plan but requires a lot of fuel and a fire that may guide unwelcome visitors to your location. The more ways to make drinking water the better. I make my own chlorine like chemical as I need it. With this kit if I have a 12 volt battery and salt I can make a chemical that is better than chlorine. I have no connection with these people except that I am very happy with the product. The kit is $100.
This is a christian ministry that works in third world areas. This kit is designed for the harshest of third world conditions.
I have used it with straight ocean water and it works but ocean water does not have as much salt as the solution normally used so the solution is weaker but still plenty strong to purify lots of water.
Salt is extremely stable and very easy to store. We should be keeping several hundred pounds on hand for preserving meat.
12 volt batteries wont keep forever but most of us have some kind of 12 volt system already.
You will also need some way to test the concentration but taste and smell is good enough once you know what to expect.
