College Textbook Says People Who Oppose Lockdowns Caused COVID Deaths

FRIDAY, SEP 10, 2021 - 03:08 PM
Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,

A textbook assigned as required reading at a North Carolina community college is loaded with assertions that anyone opposing lockdowns and masking is directly to blame for COVID deaths and the spread of the virus.

Campus Reform obtained a copy of the document, which states that the severe restrictions imposed by the Biden government “saved tens of thousands of lives” and that Americans who flout them should be held responsible, despite scientific research that has found lockdowns will actually cause millions of excess deaths.

A passage in the book reads “Most Americans responded to the pandemic by limiting their social contact, covering their faces when going out, and washing their hands thoroughly after they did,” adding “yet lives were lost because some Americans held beliefs that were at odds with the facts.”

The book, written by Harvard professor Thomas E. Patterson, is titled “We the People: An Introduction to American Government,” and the specific passage appears in a chapter on ‘critical thinking and detecting misinformation’.

The textbook was assigned to students on the ‘American Government’ course at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, according to the report.

While claiming he is a ‘centrist’, Patterson is known for injecting leftist opinion into material that is supposed to be apolitical.

1631315180837.png

He told Campus Reform that “Some of my beliefs do enter into my work, as is the case with every author.”

The report also nots that students at the same college in North Carolina were assigned a quiz that declared CNN to be a more reliable source of news than conservative outlets.

One student at the college who wished to remain anonymous told Campus Reform that it is highly ironic that material on a critical thinking module isn’t “allowing me or other students to think critically about things.”

Jeff Lowarance, Vice President of Communications at Central Piedmont claimed that “Textbooks reflect the knowledge and the opinions of the authors, not necessarily the college,” and that “students always are encouraged to question and discuss their class materials.”

Some of the reviews of the textbook on Amazon note the open bias of the material:

As Suffolk County College Professor Nicholas Giordano has repeatedly warned, basic facts about the U.S. and The Constitution are being skipped over in the classroom in favour of an ‘Anti-American’ globalist theory based on the ‘past sins’ of their ancestors.

Biden's Vaccine Fiat Forges A Fascist Pharma Corporate State

FRIDAY, SEP 10, 2021 - 09:06 AM
Authored by Connor Mortell via The Mises Institute,

About six months ago, I wrote an article here explaining that state preemptions of local government are a bad thing — even when Ron DeSantis does it. I vehemently stand by these principles. However, it is now time for Ron DeSantis to take that principle of decentralized control and run with it—against the Biden administration. Just as it is acceptable to see local government’s passing laws in defiance of their state, it is now time for the states to pass laws in defiance of the federal government. This is because on September 9, 2021, President Joe Biden announced that all employers with 100+ employees will be required to mandate vaccines or weekly negative covid tests.

Never in my lifetime has something occurred that was so egregiously opposed to Misesian concepts of liberalism and freedom. In fact, this is directly in line with perhaps the most opposite ideology to liberalism: fascism.

Benito Mussolini said himself that “Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.” In today’s political discourse, people abuse the word fascism and sometimes even cite this definition of corporatism while stretching it somewhat from the truth.

However, the state requiring that businesses require the vaccine from one of three large corporations that were propped up by the state is undoubtedly the merger of state and corporate power that Mussolini dreamed of.

In my earlier mentioned piece criticizing DeSantis’ intervention remitted fines passed by local governments in regard to local covid regulations, I had two main issues with the order. First, was a preference for localism, citing the President of the Mises Institute, Jeff Deist, claiming that “Insisting on universal political arrangements is a huge tactical mistake for libertarians.” This concern is even more true as it relates to Biden’s newest announcement as this is simply another universal political arrangement, now expanding to the national level. My other concern was that the a sweeping universal political arrangement like this—even in the best case scenario when the decision is hypothetically good for everyone with no cost—sets a precedent that the central state now has authority over that issue.

Right now, take a moment to think of the issue that is by and far most important to you. We all have one. Then think of the politician that threatens that more than anything. Do you want that individual to have this precedent to rely on when he or she takes power one day?

Luckily, the solution to this was described by the great Tom Woods:
Nullification is the Jeffersonian idea that the states of the American Union must judge the constitutionality of the acts of their agent, the federal government, since no impartial arbiter between them exists.
Many businesses across the country will act in civil noncompliance, but that is simply not enough.

If one wants to see this end, states across the country will have to undoubtedly reject this. I am not here to make any criticisms of the vaccine. I still standby my initial piece that these bans on mom-and-pop shops wanting not to run the risk of interacting with unvaccinated individuals is a dangerous threat to liberty. However, I’d argue that any act of nullification at this point has little or nothing to do with the vaccine or the pandemic.

We are now facing one simple question: will we accept or reject a precedent for the merger of state and corporate power?

If we choose to reject it, then the governors of the free State of Florida as well as New York, the governors of Texas as well as California, all these governors alike must stand firm against this tragedy.

20 Years Of Government-Sponsored Tyranny: The Rise Of The Security-Industrial Complex From 9/11 To COVID-19

FRIDAY, SEP 10, 2021 - 12:00 AM
Authored by John W. Whitehead & Nisha Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute,
“I tell you, freedom and human rights in America are doomed. The U.S. government will lead the American people in - and the West in general - into an unbearable hell and a choking life.”
- Osama bin Laden (October 2001), as reported by CNN
What a strange and harrowing road we’ve walked since September 11, 2001, littered with the debris of our once-vaunted liberties.

We have gone from a nation that took great pride in being a model of a representative democracy to being a model of how to persuade a freedom-loving people to march in lockstep with a police state.

Our losses are mounting with every passing day.

What began with the post-9/11 passage of the USA Patriot Act has snowballed into the eradication of every vital safeguard against government overreach, corruption and abuse.

The citizenry’s unquestioning acquiescence to anything the government wants to do in exchange for the phantom promise of safety and security has resulted in a society where the nation has been locked down into a militarized, mechanized, hypersensitive, legalistic, self-righteous, goose-stepping antithesis of every principle upon which this nation was founded.

Set against a backdrop of government surveillance, militarized police, SWAT team raids, asset forfeiture, eminent domain, overcriminalization, armed surveillance drones, whole body scanners, stop and frisk searches, police violence and the like—all of which have been sanctioned by Congress, the White House and the courts—our constitutional freedoms have been steadily chipped away at, undermined, eroded, whittled down, and generally discarded.

The rights embodied in the Constitution, if not already eviscerated, are on life support.

Free speech, the right to protest, the right to challenge government wrongdoing, due process, a presumption of innocence, the right to self-defense, accountability and transparency in government, privacy, press, sovereignty, assembly, bodily integrity, representative government: all of these and more have become casualties in the government’s war on the American people, a war that has grown more pronounced since 9/11.

Indeed, since the towers fell on 9/11, the U.S. government has posed a greater threat to our freedoms than any terrorist, extremist or foreign entity ever could.

While nearly 3,000 people died in the 9/11 attacks, the U.S. government and its agents have easily killed at least ten times that number of civilians in the U.S. and abroad since 9/11 through its police shootings, SWAT team raids, drone strikes and profit-driven efforts to police the globe, sell weapons to foreign nations (which too often fall into the hands of terrorists), and foment civil unrest in order to keep the security industrial complex gainfully employed.

The American people have been treated like enemy combatants, to be spied on, tracked, scanned, frisked, searched, subjected to all manner of intrusions, intimidated, invaded, raided, manhandled, censored, silenced, shot at, locked up, denied due process, and killed.

In allowing ourselves to be distracted by terror drills, foreign wars, color-coded warnings, pandemic lockdowns and other carefully constructed exercises in propaganda, sleight of hand, and obfuscation, we failed to recognize that the U.S. government—the government that was supposed to be a “government of the people, by the people, for the people”—has become the enemy of the people.

Consider that the government’s answer to every problem has been more government—at taxpayer expense—and less individual liberty.

Every crisis—manufactured or otherwise—since the nation’s early beginnings has become a make-work opportunity for the government to expand its reach and its power at taxpayer expense while limiting our freedoms at every turn: The Great Depression. The World Wars. The 9/11 terror attacks. The COVID-19 pandemic.

Viewed in this light, the history of the United States is a testament to the old adage that liberty decreases as government (and government bureaucracy) grows. Or, to put it another way, as government expands, liberty contracts.

This is how the emergency state operates, after all, and we should know: after all, we have spent the past 20 years in a state of emergency.

From 9/11 to COVID-19, “we the people” have acted the part of the helpless, gullible victims desperately in need of the government to save us from whatever danger threatens. In turn, the government has been all too accommodating and eager while also expanding its power and authority in the so-called name of national security.

This is a government that has grown so corrupt, greedy, power-hungry and tyrannical over the course of the past 240-plus years that our constitutional republic has since given way to idiocracy, and representative government has given way to a kleptocracy (a government ruled by thieves) and a kakistocracy (a government run by unprincipled career politicians, corporations and thieves that panders to the worst vices in our nature and has little regard for the rights of American citizens).

What this really amounts to is a war on the American people, fought on American soil, funded with taxpayer dollars, and waged with a single-minded determination to use national crises, manufactured or otherwise, in order to transform the American homeland into a battlefield.

Indeed, the government’s (mis)management of various states of emergency in the past 20 years has spawned a massive security-industrial complex the likes of which have never been seen before. According to the National Priorities Project at the progressive Institute for Policy Studies, since 9/11, the United States has spent $21 trillion on “militarization, surveillance, and repression.”

Clearly, this is not a government that is a friend to freedom.
  • Rather, this is a government that, in conjunction with its corporate partners, views the citizenry as consumers and bits of data to be bought, sold and traded.
  • This is a government that spies on and treats its people as if they have no right to privacy, especially in their own homes while the freedom to be human is being erased.
  • This is a government that is laying the groundwork to weaponize the public’s biomedical data as a convenient means by which to penalize certain “unacceptable” social behaviors. Incredibly, a new government agency HARPA (a healthcare counterpart to the Pentagon’s research and development arm DARPA) will take the lead in identifying and targeting “signs” of mental illness or violent inclinations among the populace by using artificial intelligence to collect data from Apple Watches, Fitbits, Amazon Echo and Google Home.
  • This is a government that routinely engages in taxation without representation, whose elected officials lobby for our votes only to ignore us once elected.
  • This is a government comprised of petty bureaucrats, vigilantes masquerading as cops, and faceless technicians.
  • This is a government that railroads taxpayers into financing government programs whose only purpose is to increase the power and wealth of the corporate elite.
  • This is a government—a warring empire—that forces its taxpayers to pay for wars abroad that serve no other purpose except to expand the reach of the military industrial complex.
  • This is a government that subjects its people to scans, searches, pat downs and other indignities by the TSA and VIPR raids on so-called “soft” targets like shopping malls and bus depots by black-clad, Darth Vader look-alikes.
  • This is a government that uses fusion centers, which represent the combined surveillance efforts of federal, state and local law enforcement, to track the citizenry’s movements, record their conversations, and catalogue their transactions.
  • This is a government whose wall-to-wall surveillance has given rise to a suspect society in which the burden of proof has been reversed such that Americans are now assumed guilty until or unless they can prove their innocence.
  • This is a government that treats its people like second-class citizens who have no rights, and is working overtime to stigmatize and dehumanize any and all who do not fit with the government’s plans for this country.
  • This is a government that uses free speech zones, roving bubble zones and trespass laws to silence, censor and marginalize Americans and restrict their First Amendment right to speak truth to power.
  • This is a government that persists in renewing the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which allows the president and the military to arrest and detain American citizens indefinitely based on the say-so of the government.
  • This is a government that saddled us with the Patriot Act, which opened the door to all manner of government abuses and intrusions on our privacy.
  • This is a government that, in direct opposition to the dire warnings of those who founded our country, has allowed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to establish a standing army by way of programs that transfer surplus military hardware to local and state police.
  • This is a government that has militarized American’s domestic police, equipping them with military weapons such as “tens of thousands of machine guns; nearly 200,000 ammunition magazines; a million hollow-point bullets; thousands of pieces of camouflage and night-vision equipment; and hundreds of silencers, armored cars and aircraft,” in addition to armored vehicles, sound cannons and the like.
  • This is a government that has provided cover to police when they shoot and kill unarmed individuals just for standing a certain way, or moving a certain way, or holding something—anything—that police could misinterpret to be a gun, or igniting some trigger-centric fear in a police officer’s mind that has nothing to do with an actual threat to their safety.
  • This is a government that has created a Constitution-free zone within 100 miles inland of the border around the United States, paving the way for Border Patrol agents to search people’s homes, intimately probe their bodies, and rifle through their belongings, all without a warrant. Nearly 66% of Americans (2/3 of the U.S. population, 197.4 million people) now live within that 100-mile-deep, Constitution-free zone.
  • This is a government that treats public school students as if they were prison inmates, enforcing zero tolerance policies that criminalize childish behavior, and indoctrinating them with teaching that emphasizes rote memorization and test-taking over learning, synthesizing and critical thinking.
  • This is a government that is operating in the negative on every front: it’s spending far more than what it makes (and takes from the American taxpayers) and it is borrowing heavily (from foreign governments and Social Security) to keep the government operating and keep funding its endless wars abroad. Meanwhile, the nation’s sorely neglected infrastructure—railroads, water pipelines, ports, dams, bridges, airports and roads—is rapidly deteriorating.
  • This is a government that has empowered police departments to make a profit at the expense of those they have sworn to protect through the use of asset forfeiture laws, speed traps, and red light cameras.
  • This is a government whose gun violence—inflicted on unarmed individuals by battlefield-trained SWAT teams, militarized police, and bureaucratic government agents trained to shoot first and ask questions later—poses a greater threat to the safety and security of the nation than any mass shooter. There are now reportedly more bureaucratic (non-military) government agents armed with high-tech, deadly weapons than U.S. Marines.
  • This is a government that has allowed the presidency to become a dictatorship operating above and beyond the law, regardless of which party is in power.
  • This is a government that treats dissidents, whistleblowers and freedom fighters as enemies of the state.
  • This is a government that has in recent decades unleashed untold horrors upon the world—including its own citizenry—in the name of global conquest, the acquisition of greater wealth, scientific experimentation, and technological advances, all packaged in the guise of the greater good.
  • This is a government that allows its agents to break laws with immunity while average Americans get the book thrown at them.
  • This is a government that speaks in a language of force. What is this language of force? Militarized police. Riot squads. Camouflage gear. Black uniforms. Armored vehicles. Mass arrests. Pepper spray. Tear gas. Batons. Strip searches. Surveillance cameras. Kevlar vests. Drones. Lethal weapons. Less-than-lethal weapons unleashed with deadly force. Rubber bullets. Water cannons. Stun grenades. Arrests of journalists. Crowd control tactics. Intimidation tactics. Brutality. Contempt of cop charges.
  • This is a government that justifies all manner of government tyranny and power grabs in the so-called name of national security, national crises and national emergencies.
  • This is a government that exports violence worldwide, with one of this country’s most profitable exports being weapons
    • Indeed, the United States, the world’s largest exporter of arms, has been selling violence to the world in order to prop up the military industrial complex and maintain its endless wars abroad.
    • This is a government that is consumed with squeezing every last penny out of the population and seemingly unconcerned if essential freedoms are trampled in the process.
    • This is a government that routinely undermines the Constitution and rides roughshod over the rights of the citizenry, eviscerating individual freedoms so that its own powers can be expanded.
    • This is a government that believes it has the authority to search, seize, strip, scan, spy on, probe, pat down, taser, and arrest any individual at any time and for the slightest provocation, the Constitution be damned.

In other words, as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, this is not a government that believes in, let alone upholds, freedom.

Biden’s vaccine mandate speech proves we’re BEYOND ‘progressivism’

Sep 10, 2021

Glenn Beck

We are now passed the Progressive Era, Glenn says, and heading towards authoritarianism 'or some sort of dictatorship.' Glenn breaks down Biden’s recent speech on COVID vaccine mandates and explains why it’s NOT the president’s job to protect YOU. His job is to protect YOUR RIGHTS.

Canadian Schools Hold Book-Burning Demonstration To Be A More "Inclusive Country"

SATURDAY, SEP 11, 2021 - 07:30 PM
Authored by Jonathan Turley,

We recently discussed how many on the left have discovered the allure of book burning, book banning, and blacklisting of authors.

While expressing shock at ISIS and other extremist groups burning books, the practice appears acceptable based on the titles or content.

Now educators in Ontario have held a “flame purification ceremony” for the local indigenous population by burning roughly 5,000 books.

The notion of teachers burning books is almost as bizarre as the thought of book sellers embracing blacklisting but both are now part of the realities of our age of rage. These school officials actually videotaped the celebration of book burning for students at 30 schools with the announcement that:
“We bury the ashes of racism, discrimination and stereotypes in the hope that we will grow up in an inclusive country where all can live in prosperity and security.”

The announcement even has a type of Maoist cultural revolution feel to it.

In addition, Lyne Cosette, a spokeswoman for the public French-speaking Catholic schools of Ontario, told the National Post newspaper, “Symbolically, some books were used as fertilizer.”

The entire demonstration was a disgrace to educators everywhere. The lesson of book burning left with these children will likely be indelible and lasting. I have worried about the rise of a generation of censors but the Catholic schools of Ontario appear intent on raising a generation of book burners.

What is truly chilling is the Orwellian call for children to burn books in order to be a more “inclusive country.”

COVID Rules and Regulations are the Means to The End, They are Not The End Itself

The announcement by Joe Biden yesterday to force vaccinations amid the U.S. workforce was a case study in politics, and his mandate attempt will fail – period. Be angry, be righteously angry. Be resolute and determined. This is the hill, but do not be fearful… they will fail.

obama-constitution.jpg

As we noted yesterday, it is likely the elitist goal of the crew behind Biden is to cleave society thereby destroying it. However, if there’s something I know about this crew – it’s how their hubris is their blind-spot. They can never think clearly through the details of their dictates, because they have never operated/lived in the place where the outcomes of those dictates surface. They make rules that are never implemented within their own tribe; this fact makes them extremely vulnerable.

The announcement by the Obama Chicago Marxist group, through Joe Biden, will never succeed. The U.S. Constitution does not provide the executive with the power they are attempting to exert; not even close. Their arguments are weak, make no sense, are not framed in legal standing, and are easily dispatched in the courts. The carve-outs themselves nullify most of their predictable arguments. If the vaccine is required as a matter of urgent public health -under an emergency declaration- then why are any exemptions afforded, or groups exempted.

The right to travel is indeed a fundamental right. It is one of the many unenumerated rights that belong to We The People as part of our Republic which forms the assembly of our state government systems. Dr. Wen and the Obama tribe are targeting the American constitutional system; that is why we are able to predict what their steps will take in sequence.

Joe Biden is a disposable front-man for the people organizing the objective, so they don’t have to worry about political damage. The Biden term was designed for a single set of four-year rapid advancements for the Communist, Marxist and Socialist agenda. The Biden poll ratings and favorability, or lack therein, do not factor into the plan of action; those issues are irrelevant.

It is not happenstance, or coincidental luck in guessing that CTH outlined in December of 2020 that Obama/Biden would use OSHA as the regulatory agency to attack the U.S. workforce system -writ large- under the guise of COVID mitigation. When you know the goals of these communists and Marxists, their intents become predictable.

Joe Biden is an avatar; a political pawn; a cognitively declining guy who has no idea what is happening around him. The people behind Biden, those in real control of what this is about, have not hidden their goals and aspirations. These are not stupid people. They are scheming, conniving, ever-planning, ever-manipulating & Machiavellian types within the political system; lusting for power, influence and affluence.

What they are planning to do is weaponize COVID-19 to attain ideological objectives. This is why they hyped the fear within it for almost a year. Nothing within their plan requires the approval or consent of any representative body in Washington DC.

"Americans Are Tired Of All The Lies" - General Mike Flynn Warns Nation Being Overtaken By Small, Powerful Group Of Marxists

SUNDAY, SEP 12, 2021 - 12:30 PM
Via Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com,

Retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn, who was head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), thinks evil communists are out to destroy America and your freedom.

General Flynn explains, “Transitioning to all the noise that is bombarding the American psyche, it’s all intentional. Don’t think this is all a bunch of haphazard things that are happening within our country..."
"The bigger 60,000 foot strategic view is that the country is being taken over by a very small minority of people that we call the Left, which are really a group of Marxists and communists who have decided over decades, and this is not just about Trump, have decided now is the time to do it . . . and they did. They outmaneuvered the Republican establishment during this last November election...

Let’s talk about what’s coming out of Arizona. Everybody knows this election was stolen. No way in the world 80 million people voted for the administration occupying the White House—no way...

This is no longer a conspiracy theory about election fraud. This is a conspiracy alright, but it is a conspiracy within a group of people that stole the U.S. Presidential Election and also stole parts of the down ballot votes, meaning the Senators and Congressmen.”
General Flynn says the election system must get fixed. General Flynn warns,
“The Arizona Legislature holds the future of our country because if they do not decertify, then these other states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada and others . . .If they couldn’t do it, then why should we bother? . . . . If we do not resolve that issue, we cannot move forward with future elections in 2022 or 2024. Those will be stolen just like the 2020 election.”
General Flynn says there is a giant psyop being run on the American people to take their eyes off of the 2020 election fraud. General Flynn explains,
“Absolutely, Covid . . .Afghanistan, the border situation, and we are not even talking about the border situation anymore because its fallen down in three or four priorities in terms of what people are able to concentrate on ...

We are going to see President Biden come out to talk about . . . lockdowns . . . and vaccines, and it is all to change the narrative...

They are going to try to take away the narrative of what happened in the election. What they really wanted and believed is the theft of the 2020 election was going to be dead by about March of 2021, and the country would move on. The American people are not stupid. Covid’s Willing ExecutionersHow have previously normal people become so eager to deal out death in judgment?

Todd Hayen

1631489657644.png

A subject in the famous Milgram experiment, administering electric shocks just because he’s told to.

A few weeks ago, three friends on Facebook told me that they wished for my death.

One of them I didn’t really know. He freaked out when I calmly suggested there were viable treatment options for those with Covid. He responded: “Stay out of my life!! I hope you get Covid and die!”

The other two friends were people I knew in college 45 years ago, one was my freshman year roommate, and the other guy introduced me to my first wife. He suggested that I prove Darwin’s theory and perish from the virus, the other just basically said I deserved what was coming as a selfish unvaccinated science-denier.

Covid’s willing executioners.

I know Facebook is certainly not the ideal place for reasonable discourse. As a psychologist, however, I do find it an interesting sample of a certain extreme way of thinking and behaving.

I also believe my experience with “friends” wishing for my demise is not unusual amongst those on that side of the fence in this debate. At least not unusual in thought.

As we all know, Facebook is the place of no inhibition. However, that said, I do believe it is a grave concern that human beings can be manipulated into this dark manner of thinking and feeling.

The operative word here is “manipulate.”

I do have faith, that for the most part, human beings have evolved from a cave mentality when confronting “other” in the culture. In cave days our psychology was programmed for survival, and it didn’t take much coercion to view members from another tribe that wandered into territory that was not their own to be immediately met with suspicion and fear.

Today, many thousands of years later, I think it takes a bit of manipulation to view “other” as fatally dangerous—but not much coercion, so it seems.

In this regard it appears we have lost any scintilla of common sense. How can a government (or more likely an even higher organization of authority) convince the masses so easily that the unvaccinated are the mortal enemy with not a whiff of science in the argument? This clearly is a case of the emperor’s new clothes, but it isn’t going to take only a small innocent child’s exaltation that the emperor is naked to make everyone see what is true.

Why is this?

I’m afraid it is human nature — at least a small part of human nature — that these days needs a little coercion to come out in full bloom. For me, as a psychologist, it is more proof that there is an organized agenda, a “psyop” if you will, driving this whole debacle. When humans are put into this sort of psychological environment, their reaction is very predictable.

A friend of mine, Dr. Mark McDonald, who is a prominent psychiatrist and has a very prestigious practice in California, told me this in a recent conversation:
“Pandemic of the unvaccinated” has emerged as an expression of propaganda meant to provoke anger toward those who exercise medical choice in deferring or refusing the experimental vaccine. It is meant to isolate, shame, and humiliate anyone who will not agree to surrender medical autonomy to the state. It intentionally divides Americans against one another while simultaneously distracting attention from the medical reality of poor vaccine efficacy and vaccine harm. The expression is devoid of scientific meaning but full of coercive psychological power. It must be challenged.
Again, we see this idea of “coercive psychological power” come up in Dr. McDonald’s comment. Propaganda and the manipulation of the masses has been a key tenet in totalitarian regimes. Pitting person against person is of utmost importance to having control over the masses. Even in Orwell’s dystopian novel, 1984, the opposition to the state was created by the state to keep the masses distracted, or so it is implied.

I am reminded of the Stanford Prison Experiment as well as Milgram’s obedience studies at Yale. Milgram set up an experiment where a subject, someone who did not know the parameters of the experiment, was in control of administering an electric shock to the “learner” if he/she failed to answer certain questions correctly.

The “learner” was also “in” on the experiment and in fact received no shocks. The authority figure egging on the subject was also, of course, “in” on the experiment and played the role of authority that the subject had to succumb to. “Just following orders” is the phrase that immediately comes to mind.

The current phenomenon regarding the persecution of the unvaccinated has some correlation with this experiment in that people, when pressured by the “mainstream authority or narrative,” tend to have little or no connection with a natural empathy toward the group identified as “other” (the unvaccinated).

The subjects in Milgram’s experiment consistently detached from the learner’s pain and tended to dissociate from them as fellow humans. They ceased to see them as in the same tribe as themselves; they were quickly reclassified as “other.”

The difference in the results of this experiment and the current situation is that “other” (the “learner”) posed no threat to the subject in Milgram’s experiment. He or she was just disobedient to authority, i.e., was not doing correctly what authority demanded him/her to do.

Now, in our present situation, the vaccinated are convinced by authority that the unvaccinated are in fact a threat (as well as not being obedient to the parental agenda). Authority is doing this through any means available to them, and it makes no difference if these means have even the slightest scientific truth to them (they say of course it is all scientific, but with further scrutiny, it certainly is not).

We saw this early on with the mask compliance. Those wearing masks were identified as one particular tribe: the “good” tribe who possessed community values. Those not wearing masks, or complaining about them, were the other tribe: the bad tribe, who were selfish, stupid, and science deniers. (to paraphrase Orwell’s sheep in Animal Farm: “four legs good (mask), two legs bad (no masks)”).

Now this effort of segregation and persecution has moved to the vaccinated and the unvaccinated. It is not the “right” science that will disintegrate this tribal conflict: it is a psycho-social issue, not a pragmatic objective one.

In a recent Charles Eisenstein article “Mob Morality and the Unvaxxed” he states:
My point is that those in the scientific and medical community who dissent from the demonization of the unvaxxed contend not only with opposing scientific views, but with ancient, powerful psycho-social forces. They can debate the science all they want, but they are up against something much bigger.
Daniel Goldhagen’s book, Hitler’s Willing Executioners (from which this article’s title is derived) presents a thesis that the persecution of the Jews in Hitler’s Germany was not only an exercise of obedience to Hitler’s ideology but was the result of a long history of German antisemitism. This very well could be true, but in my opinion this historic antisemitism was only the hook which made it easier for Hitler to hang his ideology.

Today’s willing executioners do not need a history of racial discrimination to hang their hatred of anti-vaxxers, but instead rely on a simple identification of “other” (unvaccinated) and a hatred for those who “don’t care about me, or those that I love.” The key common denominator it seems is the common concept of caring for others before caring for yourself, which, ironically, is clearly not the true psychological operator in this situation.

These people seem to care far more for themselves and their own safety (and their opinion) than they do for the rights and freedoms (and safety) of others — take the jab to save me, never mind you might die or get sick in the process.

So what we are actually experiencing is “normal” — normal from the perspective that human beings have the innate capability of being all sorts of ugly things, particularly when gathered in crowds: tribes.

If coerced and manipulated in a particular way, as has happened countless times in world history, they can become unconscious, irrational, nonempathic, monsters. I will close with a paragraph from another excellent article by author CJ Hopkins (which can be found in its entirety on Off-Guardian’s website) “The Approaching Storm”:
Thus, their plan is to make our lives as miserable as possible, to segregate us, stigmatize us, demonize us, bully, and harass us, and pressure us to conform at every turn.

They are not going to put us on the trains to the camps. GloboCap is not the Nazis. They need to maintain the simulation of democracy.

So, they need to transform us into an underclass of “anti-social conspiracy theorists,” “anti-vaxxer disinformationists,” “white-supremacist election-result deniers,” “potentially violent domestic extremists,” and whatever other epithets they come up with, so that we can be painted as dangerously unhinged freaks and cast out of society in a way that makes it appear that we have cast out ourselves.
Hunker down.

Biden's Total Financial Surveillance

SUNDAY, SEP 12, 2021 - 10:30 PM
Authored by Matt Welch via Reason.com,

What if every one of your non-cash financial transactions was automatically reported to a beefed-up, audit-hungry IRS?

Imagine living in a world where every one of your noncash financial transactions—a restaurant meal, a Venmo transfer to a friend, maybe some bitcoin bought on the dips—was automatically reported to a beefed-up, audit-hungry IRS.

That dystopia will become a reality if President Joe Biden gets his way.
Biden, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, and key Capitol Hill allies such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D–Mass.) are pushing a vast, intrusive financial surveillance system in the name of closing the "tax gap."

But don't worry: There's no need to fear if you've got nothing to hide.
"For already compliant taxpayers, the only effect of this regime is to provide easy access to summary information on financial accounts and to decrease the likelihood of costly 'no fault' examinations," the Treasury Department said this May in a nakedly authoritarian document called "The American Families Plan Tax Compliance Agenda."
But "for noncompliant taxpayers," the department continues, "this regime would encourage voluntary compliance as evaders realize that the risk of evasion being detected has risen noticeably."
The administration's proposed "comprehensive financial account reporting regime" would dramatically increase the types of financial institutions and transactions exposed to the feds' prying eyes. "All business and personal accounts from financial institutions, including bank, loan, and investment accounts," would be forced to "report gross inflows and outflows" to the IRS.

And not just bank accounts: The dragnet would now include PayPal, settlement companies, and "crypto asset exchanges," for starters.

The new domestic surveillance program, which requires congressional approval, is one prong of a tripartite strategy for transforming the entire global financial system into a harmonious, haven-free collection funnel to the IRS. The second part, which has taken up the bulk of Biden's multilateral diplomacy thus far, is getting the industrialized world to agree on a global minimum corporate tax of 15 percent, while setting up a system to prevent multinational companies from registering their profits in the lowest-tax jurisdictions.

Cutting corporate taxes is "a self-defeating competition," Yellen said in April, "and neither President Biden nor I are interested in participating in it anymore.

We want to change the game."

In July, representatives from 130 countries, including finance ministers from the G-20 representing the world's richest democracies, agreed in principle to a worldwide minimum corporate tax. "We have a chance now to build a global and domestic tax system," Yellen crowed. "The race to the bottom is one step closer to coming to an end."

The agreement still has a significant obstacle to overcome—namely, the legislatures of 130 countries, including the U.S. Congress. But Yellen has some cause to be cocky, because the third prong of Washington's strategy has already been constructed.

In 2009, President Barack Obama promised to generate $210 billion in new tax revenue over 10 years by cracking down on "overseas tax loopholes." While the corporate-tax element of the plan was quickly killed by lobbyists, the individual component remained in the form of the 2010 Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). Built on a foundation of American exceptionalism (the U.S. is one of only two countries that tax citizens living abroad), FATCA imposed onerous new annual reporting requirements on Americans with more than $10,000 in overseas financial institutions. The law brazenly threatened international banks if they didn't rat out their U.S. clients to the IRS.

The results were predictable: Expats were locked out of banking services, record numbers of mostly middle-class Americans renounced their U.S. citizenship, and IRS collections went essentially unchanged. But for a very small political price (no one much cares about the estimated 9 million Americans living abroad), Washington was able to bend an entire global financial system to its will.

An IRS with the ability to compel global transaction data sounds like something out of a Philip K. Dick novel. Yet here we are—unless we consciously cover our tracks.

"Another concern is that [the] information reporting regime will shift taxpayers toward a greater use of cash," the Treasury Department's compliance plan frets. It also notes that cryptocurrencies "already pose a significant detection problem by facilitating illegal activity broadly including tax evasion." Cash and crypto may be the last currencies compatible with privacy.

"I promised to lead the world to deliver a foreign policy for the middle class, and today, we are doing just that," Biden said after the 130-country agreement. Just as long as the middle class has nothing to hide.

It's Time To Acknowledge Anti-White Racism

SUNDAY, SEP 12, 2021 - 08:30 PM
Authored by Lynn Uzzell via RealClearPolitics.com,m

Recently, Michael Tesler commented on “The Rise of White Identity Politics.”

Tesler’s analysis draws on years of research into racialized politics, and he shows convincingly that there is a rise in white identity politics and that this rise is tied to “perceptions of anti-white discrimination.” However, when trying to explain why perceptions of anti-white bias might also be on the rise, his analysis falls flat.

Supposedly, it has something to do with Republicans and Donald Trump.

Never once does the author speculate whether “perceptions” of such discrimination might be on the rise because anti-white racism is becoming increasingly common. In other words, perhaps white Americans are accurately perceiving a real phenomenon that is now pervasive in schools and the workplace.

Anti-White Racism, by Definition
As any student of George Orwell knows, no authoritarian government can ever gain complete control unless it commandeers people’s thinking through the manipulation of language. Thus, the dystopian powers in “1984” deliberately turned the meaning of words upside-down in a process known as double-think.

The same process is happening today with the words used to discuss racism. In true Orwellian fashion, Ibram X. Kendi (pictured) insists that the only way to fight racism is to embrace racial discrimination in perpetuity. This “anti-racism,” as he calls it, is as likely to stamp out genuine racism as Orwell’s Ministry of Truth was apt to stamp out falsehoods.

In order to understand what is going on, we must call to mind the traditional definition of racism: the stereotyping, denigrating, marginalizing, or excluding of persons on the basis of race. Look up any definition of racism prior to the racial awokening taking place in the last decade, and it will be: 1) race neutral; and 2) involve some act of free will—relating to word, deed, or belief.

The definition of racism has undergone a radical change in a short time. According to the new eighth-grade curriculum for the Albemarle County (Va.) School District, racism now means: “The marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed racial hierarchy that privileges white people.”

Perhaps the most jarring aspect of this new definition is that it is no longer race-neutral. It is now impossible, by definition, for white people to be the victims of racism. The definition itself constructs a “racial hierarchy” whereby only people of color may be victimized, and only “white people” may marginalize or oppress.

But there is something even more insidious about the new definition. Since the “marginalization and/or oppression of people of color” is no longer committed by word, thought, or deed — but is based instead on an inescapable “socially constructed racial hierarchy” that always “privileges white people” — it means that white people are engaging in racism simply by being white (and hence privileged) within this impersonal system of marginalization and oppression.

A person of color is a victim of racism, by definition. A person identified as white is a racist, by definition. Therefore, not only does the new definition fail to capture the full meaning of racism; the definition is itself an example of the anti-white racism being taught to our children.

Teaching Anti-White Racism as American History
Anti-white racism is also seeping into history lessons, most notably through the curriculum adapted from the New York Times’ 1619 Project. When the 1619 Project was first published, it attracted immediate criticism. Five eminent historians criticized it for its bias and factual errors. Others criticized it for emphasizing only what was blameworthy about America’s history and omitting what was praiseworthy.

While these concerns are certainly valid, there is another serious problem that has received scant attention: The account is a surprisingly racist version of U.S. history.

The lead article for the 1619 Project is by Nikole Hannah-Jones, who has been writing anti-white screeds at least since she was a college sophomore. In a letter to her college paper, she alleged: “The white race is the biggest murderer, rapist, pillager, and thief of the modern world.” Not only were the white people in America’s past “barbaric devils,” but the “descendants of these savage people” continue to harm “the Black community” to this day. Non-white peoples, by contrast, were uniformly portrayed as both virtuous and victimized.

Of course, nobody should be held accountable for the hyperboles or inanities one might espouse as an undergraduate; few of us could bear the brunt of such an examination. The sophomoric scribblings of young Nicole Hannah would be irrelevant except that the pattern in her writing has not changed. What we find in her Pulitzer Prize-winning contribution to the 1619 Project is more moderate in tone and more sophisticated in composition, but otherwise it is the same racialized dualism she espoused in college.

In Hannah-Jones’ article, an important part of the lesson plan adapted for schools, the word “white” is used to describe people or communities 77 times. In 35 cases, “white” people are described as holding some kind of power or privilege (almost always unearned or illegitimate). In 32 cases, the word is associated with oppression, injustice, and cruelty (“white enslavers,” “widespread white violence,” “systemic white suppression of black life,” etc.).

In this telling of history, “white Americans” during the darkest days of Jim Crow held the same racist ideology as Jefferson and his “fellow white colonists.” With 32 instances of specifically “white” barbarity, it is impossible to ignore the gratuitous overuse of this racial category when describing everything that is diabolical in this country’s history. Nowhere do we read about a “white” American acting for the good, except a single instance in which certain “white Republicans” joined forces with the black community after the Civil War.

We find the polar opposite when examining the 136 references to “black” people in this article. The word is used 72 times to describe victimization by violence or injustice (always at the hands of “whites”) and 49 times in laudable terms. There is not a single instance in which “black” is used to describe a person or deed deserving of criticism.

While only a textual analysis can provide the big picture, individual passages drive home the racist message more explicitly. “For the most part,” according to this history, “black Americans fought [to secure rights] alone. Yet we never fought only for ourselves.” The article teaches schoolchildren that “black Americans, more than any other group, embrace the democratic ideals of a common good.”

Children also learn: “Our founding fathers may not have actually believed in the ideals they espoused, but black people did.”

Hannah-Jones’ composition is American history in black and white. It teaches that “blackness” is everything that ennobles this country and “whiteness” is everything that debases it. There was a time in the Jim Crow South, to their everlasting shame, when schools taught children lessons in white supremacy masked as American history. The 1619 Project has introduced a new form of black supremacy to American history, and it has been adopted by over 4,500 schools.

Anti-White Racism in the Workplace
Anyone who has been paying attention to corporate culture in America cannot but have noticed the increasing pressures to “diversify” the hiring and promotion process, often by explicitly demanding that white (especially white male) employees be held back.

The Economist has reported on the “dizzying number of equity-related” hiring commitments promised by American businesses. Facebook alone “has promised to hire 30% more black people in leadership positions.” Since other businesses across America have made similar commitments, we can expect the competition to hire and promote black professionals will drive their value to stratospheric heights, while the perceived value of white professionals will plummet.

A recent training program at Bank of America made the consequences of such commitments unmistakably clear. It instructed “white employees in particular” to “cede power to people of color.” There was no word that any member of Bank of America’s board of directors had offered to step down to make room for a replacement of color. Demands for self-denial are always made by persons who already hold seats of power and privilege (and who have no intention of giving them up). It is ever the less privileged employees who are expected to submit to degradation based on their race or sex.

Thus far, the discontent arising among marginalized employees is only being discussed in whispers. Anne Applebaum recently interviewed a couple of men who believe they were punished at work “because a white, male boss felt he had to publicly sacrifice another white man in order to protect his own position.” Yet Americans are reluctant to speak out about anti-white racism, lest they be accused of being anti-black.

Racism of any kind is never a single, defining act. It is death by a thousand cuts, and these cuts to white employees have become ubiquitous.

I know of a book project that had been under contract for two years before being scuttled. The press rejected the volume of collected essays, in part, because the 14 contributing authors were not sufficiently “diverse.” The acquisition editor at the press defended the judgment of one of its anonymous reviewers: “Books coming out right now simply have to address the systemic whiteness and maleness that pervades the academy, and particularly political science.”

This demand came despite a shortage of “scholars of color” who write on the particular subject the book addresses. Nevertheless, it was deemed essential that the volume’s contributors find some way to dilute their “whiteness” (in the subjective gaze of one anonymous reviewer) before the press would consent to publish on this topic.

The Dangers of Anti-White Racism, and the Solution
Skeptics inclined to dismiss the seriousness of anti-white racism will likely counter that the examples I’ve described are milquetoast; they’re not nearly as horrific as the anti-black racism of the Jim Crow South. Of course they’re not. Anti-white racism is not that bad now, nor is it reasonable to expect it will get that bad in the foreseeable future.

Nevertheless, racism of any kind is an evil in itself; anti-white racism is today a greater problem, at least in the white-collar world, than anti-black racism; and its continued prevalence and severity is likely to spawn a backlash that will further enflame racial enmity.

For anyone who may be skeptical that anti-white racism is now worse than anti-black racism, consider this: Overt acts of anti-black discrimination today are socially, politically, and professionally unimaginable. Anti-white discrimination, on the other hand, has become almost an institutional requirement. Schools and businesses seem fearful lest they are accused of not doing enough to stereotype, denigrate, marginalize, and suppress “whiteness.”

In addition to the ubiquity of the evil itself, this racism is bound to provoke a backlash. The more that citizens identifying as “white” perceive themselves as under attack, the more likely they will be to coalesce politically as a form of defense. Hence, it is predictable that we would find, as Tesler has reported, undercurrents of white identity politics at the polls and, at the fringes, a rise in white supremacy and white nationalism.

Yet, if Tesler and others are serious about combating this scourge of white identity politics, it will require a better understanding of its causes than they seem willing to explore. As long as anti-white racism is so flagrant, it is useless to hope that Americans won’t notice or won’t respond to it. Only by first acknowledging the rise in anti-white racism can we start thinking creatively about combating both the evil itself and the evils it spawns.

Any permanent solution to America’s enduring problems with racism will ultimately have to come from the victims rather than the perpetrators. We have minimal influence over the minds and hearts of the bigots. However, as I’ve written before, if the targets of racism would identify as non-racial, they cease cooperating with the bigotry of racial sorting.

It is not only anti-white racism that can be defeated by this strategy. Racial renunciation is emerging as a rallying cry from public intellectuals with diverse skin tones. Whether it’s known as “race abolitionism” or “unlearning race,” Kmele Foster, Thomas Chatterton Williams, Kenny Xu and Christian Watson, Erec Smith, Paul Rossi, and Angel Eduardo have all been powerful spokesmen for real change. In what is perhaps the best descriptor of this goal, Jason D. Hill has argued that black Americans, in particular, “are ideal candidates for racial self-emancipation.” There is a budding recognition that people of all complexions would benefit from renouncing the divisive racial categories imposed on us by others.

If Americans can ever learn to internalize these three words, “I am non-racial,” it would free them from feelings of personal outrage when confronted by the racism of others. If they begin insisting that their bosses and teachers recognize their non-racial designation, they free themselves from the most overt forms of their discrimination. Eventually, there will come a day when racism will lose its grip on the minds and hearts of Americans.

Who Benefits From the Dumbing Down of American Education? China

John Mac Ghlionn
John Mac Ghlionn

September 12, 2021 Updated: September 12, 2021

Commentary
Planning, according to the American author Alan Lakein, involves “bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.” If you want to buy a new house in five years, it helps to start saving today. To have a thriving economy going forward, it helps to have well-trained, highly-skilled graduates.

That’s good news for China.

Last month, the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), a think tank based in Washington, published a rather telling report. When it comes to the production of STEM PhD graduates, as the authors note, China is fast outpacing the United States. For the uninitiated, STEM refers to the “integrated teaching and learning” of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In other words, it involves a deep understanding of the very subjects that make our lives possible, and the very subjects that are vital for the progression of humanity. Since the “mid-2000s,” as the report notes, “China has consistently graduated more STEM PhDs than the United States, a key indicator of a country’s future competitiveness in STEM fields.”

The gap between China and the United States, we’re told, “will likely grow wider in the next five years.” Chinese universities, once known for rampant plagiarism and questionable teaching practices, are most definitely improving. The authors findings “suggest the quality of doctoral education in China has risen in recent years, and that much of China’s current PhD growth comes from high-quality universities.” If current enrollment patterns continue on this current trajectory, the authors project that “by 2025 Chinese universities will produce more than 77,000 STEM PhD graduates per year compared to approximately 40,000 in the United States.” With more than “three-quarters of Chinese doctoral graduates” specializing in STEM fields, China’s “robust” education system threatens to undermine the “long-term economic and national security” of the United States.

Why is this report important, and why is it a must read for the Biden administration?

From cancer detecting software to virus protection software, drone strikes to drone deliveries, space travel to air travel, modern society is inextricably linked with STEM subjects. This is not good news for the United States, where a precipitous drop in educational standards can be seen in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and elite universities. A number of American educators consider math to be inherently racist. Some people argue that math needs to confront its “white, patriarchal past.” What does this even mean?

Empiricism has become the bête noire of many a leftist. Science is not racist.

Although science can be carried out by racists, it’s important to make the distinction. A car can be driven by a xenophobe, but we don’t call the car xenophobic. To continue this brief exercise in stating the obvious, math is not racist. Without math, nothing is possible. More importantly, no one gets paid.

Regardless of a person’s skin color, we all benefit from math. In a recent piece for Quillette, the authors—three mathematicians “who came to the United States as young immigrants”—describe the ways in which “the nationwide effort to reduce racial disparities, however well-intentioned” only serve to weaken “the connection between merit and scholastic admission.” When everything, including math and science, is viewed through the prism of race, the country suffers.

A classroom in Venice, California. Yuli Sun, a Chinese language immersion teacher (L) checks her students’ work during a second grade class at Broadway Elementary School in Venice, California on Jan. 31, 2013. (Robyn Beck/AFP/Getty Images)

The trio lament “the deplorable state” of the K-12 “math education system.” A pitiful number of American public-school children, they argue, are prepared for careers in STEM. Not surprisingly, this leaves the United States all too “dependent on a constant inflow of foreign talent, especially from mainland China, Taiwan, South Korea, and India.” As “curricula increasingly shift from actual mathematics knowledge to courses about social justice and identity politics,” expect this trend to continue.

The United States is home to a number of outstanding universities. However, it’s little use having such extraordinary establishments if they’re not being used to breed extraordinary minds. If the United States is to have any chance of competing with China, serious changes are needed, and they’re needed fast.

Sadly, the only changes we’re seeing are harmful ones. If in doubt, let me point you to Oregon. Governor Kate Brown recently signed Senate Bill 744 into law. For the next five years, all Oregonian high school students who wish to graduate will be exempt from having to demonstrate proficiency in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics to graduate. The bill, according to reports, was introduced in order to help “Oregon’s Black, Latino, Latina, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Tribal, and students of color.” One wonders how dumbing down graduation requirements helps anyone.

Many progressive-minded educators are determined to “reimagine” the way subjects like math and science are taught in schools. But they don’t need to be “reimagined.” They need to be left alone and they need to be taught properly.

The United States is currently ranked 31st in math literacy out of 79 countries.

China, meanwhile, ranks 1st in mathematical proficiency. Now, with the average IQ of American children continuing to fall, and the dumbing down of education in full swing, expect the proficiency gap to widen. Without enough STEM graduates, how is the United States expected to compete with China? This is an important question that requires immediate answers.

Levin: Biden ‘the Closest Thing We’ve Got to a Dictator Yet’

TRENT BAKER12 Sep 2021153

Video on website 11:48 min

Fox News Channel “Life, Liberty & Levin” host Mark Levin on Sunday hammered President Joe Biden over his recent speech in which he announced vaccine mandates and other protocol measures to deal with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Levin argued that a scornful Biden “condemning” and “yelling” at American citizens over getting vaccinated makes him “the closest thing we’ve had to a dictator yet.”

“Joe Biden gave a speech the other day, and he always walks off. He doesn’t take questions like he is some kind of a dictator, and he is the closest thing we’ve got to a dictator yet,” Levin asserted. “He certainly is. He gives a speech. He doesn’t communicate with the American people as equals. He doesn’t treat you as a citizen. He is basically yelling at you, condemning you, lecturing you. He’s filled with scorn. You are not doing what he told you to do. Eighty million of you are unvaccinated — you are the reason people are dying. You are the reason there is a spread. You are the reason that we have these variants, not him. Remember how he used to use blame Donald Trump for every death that occurred as a result of the coronavirus? Well, how many new vaccines have been developed under Joe Biden? None. How many are under development? None that I know of. How about therapeutics? Many were developed under Donald Trump — none that I’m aware of right now.”

He continued, “So, what is he going to do? He’s not going to take responsibility — Joe Biden — for what he’s failed to do, having congratulated himself on July 4 for basic victory over the virus. No, it is your fault. It’s not Biden’s fault for having the southern border open, and potentially 2.5 million people coming across the border in his first year, many of whom have all kinds of diseases and all kinds of issues, including the coronavirus. What does he do? He gives a speech in which he congratulates himself. He attacks the governor of Florida; he attacks the governor of Texas. He dismisses everything that came before him. This is a man who is out of control. This is a fool with enormous power. You can support vaccinations, as I do, without supporting tyranny.”

“There is a serious question whether Congress can delegate this power to OSHA, which it hasn’t,” Levin added. “And yet, this is their argument. And the same time that they are threatening small businesses with horrific fines and to fire people without vaccines, people in small business are having trouble hiring people. This is going to create economic dislocation, of which Joe Biden knows nothing because he’s never worked in the private sector. He’s almost 80 years old, and he’s spent his entire life in government telling people what to do rather than doing something. This is a big constitutional issue. It is a big economic issue. And the idea that he thinks he can sign an executive order or that the Labor Department can put out regulation and snap his fingers then Joe Biden can control the economy. That is what I mean about American marxism. That is what I mean that this man is as close to a dictator as we ever had.”

Levin: Biden ‘the Closest Thing We’ve Got to a Dictator Yet’

He is a peckerhead.
Nothing more.

Bubble-Wrapping History: The National Archives Moves To "Reimagine" The Founding

MONDAY, SEP 13, 2021 - 04:40 PM
Authored by Jonathan Turley,

Below is my column in the Hill on the recommendations of the anti-racism task force to “reimagine history” at the National Archives. It appears that the Archives are moving forward with warnings and other reforms.

Here is the column:

We are living in the age of reimagination. We are not reducing police, we are “reimagining policing” … not “packing” the Supreme Court but “reimagining justice” … not embracing media bias but “reimagining journalism” … not embracing censorship but “reimagining free speech.”

Conversely, the lack of such imagination can be a career-ending flaw. As a result, many remain silent rather than question the need for the revisions that come with “reimagination.”

That dilemma was evident as a federal task force recently issued a call to “reimagine history” at the National Archives, including adding warnings to protect unsuspecting visitors before they read our founding documents. We are reimagining ourselves out of the very founding concepts that once defined us.

Reimagining the founding documents comes at a time when many are calling to “reimagine the First Amendment” and other constitutional guarantees.

National Archivist David Ferriero created a racism task force for the National Archives after last summer’s protests over the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Such task forces are created with the expectation that they will find problems, and — once recommendations are made — objecting to “anti-racist” reforms can easily be misconstrued as being insensitive or even racist.

Obviously, documents and spaces can be viewed differently from different backgrounds. There is also a need to contextualize our history to deal honestly with our past. However, the “reimagination” line should not divide the woke from the wicked. Yet that is the fear for many academics who do not want to risk their careers after campaigns against dissenting voices on campuses around the country.

For example, for many of us, the National Archives’ Rotunda - containing the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights - is a moving, reverential place celebrating common articles of constitutional faith. That is not what the task force members saw.

Instead, they declared that the iconic Rotunda is one of three examples of structural racism: “a Rotunda in our flagship building that lauds wealthy White men in the nation’s founding while marginalizing BIPOC, women, and other communities.” They called for “reimagining” the space to be more inclusive, including possible dance and performance art. Even the famous murals in the Rotunda might have to go: The task force noted that some view the murals as “an homage to White America.”

The report objected to the laudatory attention given white Framers and Founders, particularly figures like Thomas Jefferson. It encouraged the placement of “trigger warnings” to “forewarn audiences of content that may cause intense physiological and psychological symptoms.”

The task force report called for “reimagining” the portrayal of founding documents on OurDocuments.gov, the website for America’s “milestone documents.” The task force objected that the “100 milestone documents of American history” included “adulatory and excessive language to document the historical contributions of White, wealthy men.”

The task force called for warnings and revision of racist language but stressed that such language “means not only explicitly harmful terms, such as racial slurs, but also information that implies and reinforces damaging stereotypes of BIPOC individuals and communities while valorizing and protecting White people.” It also called for “the creation of safe spaces” in every facility run by the National Archives and Record Administration (NARA).

A task force subgroup recommended that NARA “retire” the term “charters of freedom” as descriptors for the founding documents because “these documents did not result in freedom for everyone.” In addition, new signage would contain “trigger warnings” to protect tourists from potential trauma in seeing the documents; visitors would now be warned that the documents they are reading may “contain harmful language that reflects attitudes and biases of their time.”

It is not clear how such signage truly ameliorates the harm for some in reading founding documents, as opposed to making a statement about the history itself.

Hopefully, most people visiting the National Archives have some passing knowledge of the age and history of both the documents and the country.

Before we bubble-wrap our history, it is worth discussing other inherent messages not from the documents, but the warning signs themselves.

There is no question that the documents, like many of the Framers, reveal an inherent hypocrisy in speaking of natural rights that were cruelly denied to millions left in slavery. That hypocrisy continued as women and minorities fought for the guarantees of those documents.

However, it is not the documents but our failure to live up to those principles that is the tragedy of our nation.

There were early figures who recognized that hypocrisy — even some like Jefferson, who personally embodied the contradictions of the time. Jefferson originally included a 168-word passage in the Declaration of Independence that condemned slavery as one of the evils foisted upon the colonies by the British crown; it was cut to secure the vote of Southern states. Yet Jefferson himself owned a large number of slaves, as did many of the Founders and Framers. Some other early figures — John Adams, Thomas Paine, Roger Sherman, Alexander Hamilton, the Marquis de Lafayette and others — were adamant abolitionists. They too are part of our history.

The Constitution itself is like a codified stratigraphic record of our struggle with own values. Indeed, more than 600,000 Americans were killed during the Civil War to guarantee those rights and ultimately reaffirm them with the 14th, 15th and 16th Amendments to the Bill of Rights. The Constitution contained the powers in the first three articles that allowed a free nation to end segregation, realize women’s suffrage, and guarantee equality for insular minorities. These documents were a promise that our nation strived to fulfill, a struggle that continues to this day.

The National Archives’ Rotunda is a reverential place because it represents a leap of faith by a nation composed of different races, religions and values. The documents compose our covenant of faith not with the government or the past but with each other. We have not always lived up to the ideals expressed in the documents — yet our history is not defined by where we began but, instead, by where we strive to be.

Before we bring in the dance groups and post the trigger warnings, perhaps what we need is a reaffirmation rather than a reimagination of who we are.

The National Archives is our collective story. These documents imagined a new country and a set of ideals that no nation had ever realized in history. They are a collective statement of transcendence from where we were to where we hoped to be as a people. Perhaps we are not there yet, but we have come a long way.

That is worth understanding — and even celebrating — without the historical bumpers and safety proofing. Just imagine that.

GOVERNMENT WORKS WITH SOCIAL MEDIA TO CENSOR AMERICANS
September 2021
Justin Hart free speech rights violated

Data analyst sues Facebook, Twitter, President

On July 13, 2021, Justin Hart posted a simple, science-based graphic to his Facebook page entitled, “Masking Children is Impractical and Not Backed by Research or Real World Data.”

The next day, Hart received a message from Facebook stating it was suspending his personal account for three days as a result of this post.

Not even all the footnotes to scientific evidence supporting the post’s claim could save Hart from this suspension.

But are we really surprised at this point?

Big Tech and Big Government

Facebook has a history of censoring scientific opinions that turn out to be perfectly valid hypotheses over the last year. Facebook and Twitter were emboldened to unilaterally determine what was fact and fiction about a developing crisis even when science on the matter evolved every day.

The censorship of Americans like Justin by a private company is troubling but the week he was suspended from Facebook, there was a worrisome new player in the censorship of Americans online—the U.S. government.

In a July 15, 2021, press briefing, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki revealed that senior White House staff “is in regular touch” with Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms regarding posts about COVID-19, while the Surgeon General’s office is “flagging problematic posts for Facebook that spread” what the administration has declared as “disinformation.” The administration simultaneously released a blacklist of individuals it declared as “super-disseminators” of so-called COVID “disinformation“ or “misinformation.”

Now these dominant social media platforms and the White House are openly collaborating to eliminate social media posts about COVID-19 that the administration finds objectionable, and to cancel or suspend the Facebook and Twitter accounts of people who raise issues about COVID they don’t want the public to see.

About Justin Hart
Hart is an executive consultant with over 25 years’ experience creating data-driven solutions for Fortune 500 companies and Presidential campaigns alike. He is the Chief Data Analyst and founder of RationalGround.com, which helps companies, public policy officials, and parents gauge the impact of COVID-19 across the country.

He knows his way around solid science and its implications.

Hart joined Facebook in 2007 under the promise that Facebook would provide him a platform to spread his message on the internet and grow his business. He has relied on this promise to post hundreds, if not thousands of times, to promote his message and his business interests as a social media consultant.

During this time of suspension, he wasn’t able to contact his followers on Facebook. He offers alternative solutions on how to address COVID-19 and he knows of at least one person who attempted to contact him via Facebook to receive help from him but was unable to do so.

What’s more: Hart has had his reputation damaged by having the validity of his posts questioned by the tech giant. Once you’ve been censored by Facebook, it’s hard to regain credibility––no matter how many peer-reviewed scientific studies one references.

Why he’s suing
Justin filed a federal lawsuit in California with help from the Liberty Justice Center because the U.S. Constitution, not White House political operatives in collusion with Big Tech, should set the rules for public dialogue. And those rights allow for people to freely speak their minds no matter how unpopular their comments are with those in power.

“The recent admission that the White House has a team of government workers flagging Americans’ social media posts for removal is extremely disturbing, and it’s illegal,” said Brian Kelsey, managing attorney at the Liberty Justice Center. “Regardless of one’s politics or views about COVID, every citizen should be greatly alarmed by this melding of Big Government and Big Tech to control what you see, hear and know about one of the greatest public issues of our time.”

“It’s clear to Americans that what is said at the White House podium isn’t always true, so why do we think it’s acceptable for the government to direct social media companies to censor people on critical issues such as COVID?” Hart said.

“Until it happens to you, the average citizen probably has no idea how much excessive control Facebook, Twitter, and others have over our public dialogue.

Now, the federal government is working with these companies to stamp out free speech. It’s grossly unconstitutional and it must stop.”

Hillary Clinton Calls For A New ‘War on Terror’… Targeting Trump Supporters — ‘They Are Threatening Our Democracy’

about 8 hours ago2.6k Views

hillary-war-terror-trump-supporters-678x381.jpg.optimal.jpg

Hillary Clinton has called on Democratic lawmakers and the Biden administration to undertake a new ‘War on Terror’., but this time, however, she wants to target… Trump supporters.

Clinton expressed worries about homegrown Trump terrorists causing more harm to America than the Taliban in an unsettling interview with CBS News last Friday.

When asked about terrorism threats due to the withdrawal from Afghanistan, Clinton rejected the idea that Islamic terrorism was a threat, instead asserting that the ‘real threat to America and American democracy’ is Trump supporters ‘like the ones we saw on Jan 6’.

Constitution Day 2021: It's Time To Make America Free Again

TUESDAY, SEP 14, 2021 - 11:45 PM
Authored by John W. Whitehead & Nisha Whitehead via The
“That was when they suspended the Constitution. They said it would be temporary. There wasn't even any rioting in the streets.
People stayed home at night, watching television, looking for some direction. There wasn't even an enemy you could put your finger on.”
- Margaret Atwood, The Handmaid's Tale

The Constitution of the United States represents the classic solution to one of humankind’s greatest political problems: that is, how does a small group of states combine into a strong union without the states losing their individual powers and surrendering their control over local affairs?

The fifty-five delegates who convened in Philadelphia during the sweltering summer of 1787 answered this question with a document that called for a federal plan of government, a system of separation of powers with checks and balances, and a procedure for orderly change to meet the needs and exigencies of future generations.

In an ultimate sense, the Constitution confirmed the proposition that original power resided in the people—not, however, in the people as a whole but in their capacity as people of the several states. To bring forth the requisite union, the people through the states would transfer some of their powers to the new federal government. All powers not reserved by the people in explicit state constitutional limitations remained in the state governments.

Although the Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787, the fear of the new federal government was so strong that a “bill of rights” was demanded and became an eventuality.

Intended to protect the citizenry’s fundamental rights or “first liberties” against usurpation by the newly created federal government, the Bill of Rights—the first ten amendments of the Constitution—is essentially a list of immunities from interference by the federal government.

Unfortunately, although the Bill of Rights was adopted as a means of protecting the people against government tyranny, in America today, the government does whatever it wants, freedom be damned.

“We the people” have been terrorized, traumatized, and tricked into a semi-permanent state of compliance by a government that cares nothing for our lives or our liberties.

The bogeyman’s names and faces have changed over time (terrorism, the war on drugs, illegal immigration, a viral pandemic, and more to come), but the end result remains the same: in the so-called name of national security, the Constitution has been steadily chipped away at, undermined, eroded, whittled down, and generally discarded with the support of Congress, the White House, and the courts.

A recitation of the Bill of Rights—set against a backdrop of government surveillance, militarized police, SWAT team raids, asset forfeiture, eminent domain, overcriminalization, armed surveillance drones, whole body scanners, stop and frisk searches, vaccine mandates, travel lockdowns, and the like (all sanctioned by Congress, the White House, and the courts)—would understandably sound more like a eulogy to freedoms lost than an affirmation of rights we truly possess.

What we are left with today is but a shadow of the robust document adopted more than two centuries ago. Sadly, most of the damage has been inflicted upon the Bill of Rights.

Here is what it means to live under the Constitution, post-9/11 and in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic.
The First Amendment is supposed to protect the freedom to speak your mind, assemble and protest nonviolently without being bridled by the government. It also protects the freedom of the media, as well as the right to worship and pray without interference. In other words, Americans should not be silenced by the government. To the founders, all of America was a free speech zone.
Despite the clear protections found in the First Amendment, the freedoms described therein are under constant assault.
Increasingly, Americans are being arrested and charged with bogus “contempt of cop” charges such as “disrupting the peace” or “resisting arrest” for daring to film police officers engaged in harassment or abusive practices. Journalists are being prosecuted for reporting on whistleblowers. States are passing legislation to muzzle reporting on cruel and abusive corporate practices. Religious ministries are being fined for attempting to feed and house the homeless. Protesters are being tear-gassed, beaten, arrested and forced into “free speech zones.” And under the guise of “government speech,” the courts have reasoned that the government can discriminate freely against any First Amendment activity that takes place within a so-called government forum.
The Second Amendment was intended to guarantee “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” Essentially, this amendment was intended to give the citizenry the means to resist tyrannical government. Yet while gun ownership has been recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court as an individual citizen right, Americans remain powerless to defend themselves against SWAT team raids and government agents armed to the teeth with military weapons better suited to the battlefield. As such, this amendment has been rendered nearly null and void.
The Third Amendment reinforces the principle that civilian-elected officials are superior to the military by prohibiting the military from entering any citizen’s home without “the consent of the owner.” With the police increasingly training like the military, acting like the military, and posing as military forces—complete with heavily armed SWAT teams, military weapons, assault vehicles, etc.—it is clear that we now have what the founders feared most—a standing army on American soil.
The Fourth Amendment prohibits government agents from conducting surveillance on you or touching you or invading you, unless they have some evidence that you’re up to something criminal. In other words, the Fourth Amendment ensures privacy and bodily integrity. Unfortunately, the Fourth Amendment has suffered the greatest damage in recent years and has been all but eviscerated by an unwarranted expansion of police powers that include strip searches and even anal and vaginal searches of citizens, surveillance (corporate and otherwise) and intrusions justified in the name of fighting terrorism, as well as the outsourcing of otherwise illegal activities to private contractors.
The Fifth Amendment and the Sixth Amendment work in tandem. These amendments supposedly ensure that you are innocent until proven guilty, and government authorities cannot deprive you of your life, your liberty or your property without the right to an attorney and a fair trial before a civilian judge. However, in the new suspect society in which we live, where surveillance is the norm, these fundamental principles have been upended. Certainly, if the government can arbitrarily freeze, seize or lay claim to your property (money, land or possessions) under government asset forfeiture schemes, you have no true rights.
The Seventh Amendment guarantees citizens the right to a jury trial. Yet when the populace has no idea of what’s in the Constitution—civic education has virtually disappeared from most school curriculums—that inevitably translates to an ignorant jury incapable of distinguishing justice and the law from their own preconceived notions and fears. However, as a growing number of citizens are coming to realize, the power of the jury to nullify the government’s actions—and thereby help balance the scales of justice—is not to be underestimated. Jury nullification reminds the government that “we the people” retain the power to ultimately determine what laws are just.
The Eighth Amendment is similar to the Sixth in that it is supposed to protect the rights of the accused and forbid the use of cruel and unusual punishment. However, the Supreme Court’s determination that what constitutes “cruel and unusual” should be dependent on the “evolving standards of decency that mark the progress of a maturing society” leaves us with little protection in the face of a society lacking in morals altogether.
The Ninth Amendment provides that other rights not enumerated in the Constitution are nonetheless retained by the people. Popular sovereignty—the belief that the power to govern flows upward from the people rather than downward from the rulers—is clearly evident in this amendment. However, it has since been turned on its head by a centralized federal government that sees itself as supreme and which continues to pass more and more laws that restrict our freedoms under the pretext that it has an “important government interest” in doing so.
As for the Tenth Amendment’s reminder that the people and the states retain every authority that is not otherwise mentioned in the Constitution, that assurance of a system of government in which power is divided among local, state and national entities has long since been rendered moot by the centralized Washington, DC, power elite—the president, Congress and the courts.
If there is any sense to be made from this recitation of freedoms lost, it is simply this: our individual freedoms have been eviscerated so that the government’s powers could be expanded.

Yet those who gave us the Constitution and the Bill of Rights believed that the government exists at the behest of its citizens. It is there to protect, defend and even enhance our freedoms, not violate them.

It was no idle happenstance that the Constitution opens with these three powerful words: “We the people.” As the Preamble proclaims:
We, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this CONSTITUTION for the United States of America.
In other words, we have the power to make and break the government. We are the masters and they are the servants. We the American people—the citizenry—are the arbiters and ultimate guardians of America’s welfare, defense, liberty, laws and prosperity.

Still, it’s hard to be a good citizen if you don’t know anything about your rights or how the government is supposed to operate.

As the National Review rightly asks, “How can Americans possibly make intelligent and informed political choices if they don’t understand the fundamental structure of their government? American citizens have the right to self-government, but it seems that we increasingly lack the capacity for it.”

Americans are constitutionally illiterate.
Most citizens have little, if any, knowledge about their basic rights. And our educational system does a poor job of teaching the basic freedoms guaranteed in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. For instance, a survey by the Annenberg Public Policy Center found that a little more than one-third of respondents (36 percent) could name all three branches of the U.S. government, while another one-third (35 percent) could not name a single one.

A survey by the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum found that only one out of a thousand adults could identify the five rights protected by the First Amendment. On the other hand, more than half (52%) of the respondents could name at least two of the characters in the animated Simpsons television family, and 20% could name all five. And although half could name none of the freedoms in the First Amendment, a majority (54%) could name at least one of the three judges on the TV program American Idol, 41% could name two and one-fourth could name all three.

It gets worse.

Many who responded to the survey had a strange conception of what was in the First Amendment. For example, 21% said the “right to own a pet” was listed someplace between “Congress shall make no law” and “redress of grievances.”

Some 17% said that the First Amendment contained the “right to drive a car,” and 38% believed that “taking the Fifth” was part of the First Amendment.

Teachers and school administrators do not fare much better. A study conducted by the Center for Survey Research and Analysis found that one educator in five was unable to name any of the freedoms in the First Amendment.

In fact, while some educators want students to learn about freedom, they do not necessarily want them to exercise their freedoms in school. As the researchers conclude, “Most educators think that students already have enough freedom, and that restrictions on freedom in the school are necessary. Many support filtering the Internet, censoring T-shirts, disallowing student distribution of political or religious material, and conducting prior review of school newspapers.”

Government leaders and politicians are also ill-informed. Although they take an oath to uphold, support and defend the Constitution against “enemies foreign and domestic,” their lack of education about our fundamental rights often causes them to be enemies of the Bill of Rights.

So what’s the solution?

Thomas Jefferson recognized that a citizenry educated on “their rights, interests, and duties” is the only real assurance that freedom will survive.

As Jefferson wrote in 1820: “I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of our society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.”

From the President on down, anyone taking public office should have a working knowledge of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and should be held accountable for upholding their precepts. One way to ensure this would be to require government leaders to take a course on the Constitution and pass a thorough examination thereof before being allowed to take office.

Some critics are advocating that students pass the United States citizenship exam in order to graduate from high school. Others recommend that it must be a prerequisite for attending college. I’d go so far as to argue that students should have to pass the citizenship exam before graduating from grade school.

Here’s an idea to get educated and take a stand for freedom: anyone who signs up to become a member of The Rutherford Institute gets a wallet-sized Bill of Rights card and a Know Your Rights card. Use this card to teach your children the freedoms found in the Bill of Rights.

If this constitutional illiteracy is not remedied and soon, freedom in America will be doomed.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in its fictional counterpart The Erik Blair Diaries, we have managed to keep the wolf at bay so far. Barely.

Our national priorities need to be re-prioritized. For instance, some argue that we need to make America great again. I, for one, would prefer to make America free again.

American Maoism
Habi Zhang
Reverend Al Sharpton, elected officials and activists kneel

The origins of our current Cultural Revolution
“Never forget class struggle!” proclaimed Mao in Fall 1962 at the Chinese Communist Party’s annual retreat. This maxim quickly became the fevered chant of the day, paving the way for the Cultural Revolution, which began in 1966 and continued until Mao’s death in 1976. This slogan defied reality and logic: How could class struggle persist when there was no private ownership left in China?

But the slogan appealed to sentiment, not logic, and thus persisted.

If modified into “Never forget race struggle,” the command has the same appeal in today’s woke America, and serves the same purposes, even though there is no evidence that race is a barrier impeding individual effort in America today, or that it is decisive in distributing outcomes.

Maoist tactics, rhetoric, and symbols have been adopted in BLM protests and riots, “anti-racist” self-education doctrine, and the promotion of “critical race theory” (CRT) in schools, corporations, the government, and even the military. As a student of the totalitarianism of Mao’s China—which was exceptionally effective in peddling propaganda and staging performances of feigning, preening, and indignation—I find woke America’s reinvention of Maoism fascinating and terrifying. Mao is the unsung hero for contemporary CRT intellectuals.

Maoist Wokeism
Maoism differs from orthodox Marxism, which holds that the economic base of a social system determines its superstructure, i.e., culture, language, and ideas. Class war thus comes to an end once the state owns the means of production.

Maoism insists that the abolition of private property won’t necessarily transform the superstructure; rather, the Maoist revolution must be kept in constant motion. There is no end to fighting “class enemies,” much as the evangelists of CRT project no concrete consummation of the war on racism.

Just as the Maoist label “class enemy” was intentionally kept vague and its usage promiscuous, woke concepts such as “systemic racism” are meant to deceive and divide. “Systemic racism” is invoked as the sole cause wherever disparities of outcome among different groups exist; neither the act or intention of racism matters, except for the “implicit bias” as suggested by the equally unproven and unprovable assumption of “white fragility.”

Epistemology starts with basic and general presuppositions which are not imposed externally but emerge organically through humans’ collective experiences, and which must undergo rigorous scrutiny. When CRT or other social justice theories conjure up catchy concepts laden with spurious correlations, our world is made less intelligible, less connected with our experiences, and objective knowledge less obtainable. The goal of esoteric academic terminology like “decomposition” or “decolonization” is to obscure and intimidate, not clarify. Revolutionary jargon is intended to destroy our common sense and keep our understanding in a constant state of topsy-turvy.

A ludicrous debate about whether 2 plus 2 equals 4 was sparked by woke tweets claiming that such mathematic statements “reek of white supremacist patriarchy.” This debate not only captured social media attention, it even compelled world-class mathematicians to get involved in a picayune discussion leading to no useful knowledge, just obfuscation.

The denial of reality and reason is reflected in the hysteria surrounding Mao’s Great Leap Forward, a mammoth state project with no parallel in modern history, that vowed to bring agrarian China from socialism to communism within 15 years. In 1958, the entire country was engulfed in frenzied exhilaration and hallucination, working day and night, cheered by drumbeats declaring that “the corn will grow higher, the more you desire.” Communes scrambled in competition to fabricate figures of crop output that were transparently fake and yet accepted along with sycophantic statements such as, “Chairman Mao’s thoughts have boosted yields.”

Though Lysenkoist agricultural innovations such as “close cropping” or “deep plowing” led to disastrous failures, mythical “sputnik fields” claimed ever-larger outputs. For instance, 1.8 tons of wheat was supposedly grown from one-sixth of an acre and 70 tons of rice from less than one-fifth of an acre. Though these figures were obviously fiction, scientists such as world-renowned mathematician, aerospace engineer, and physicist Qian Xuesen wrote in China Youth Daily that the yield could grow still 20 times larger. Fearful of being called “Rightists,” nobody dared to point out the obvious lie. Peasants, local cadres, and party officials, wittingly, participated in a blatant lie that starved between 36 million and 45 million civilians to death within a few years.

Lies are expected of the citizenry in a totalitarian state; people imbibe and spew lies while fully aware of the falsehood. The state does not need the people to accept the lie, let alone believe it—living within it suffices to demoralize individuals, rendering them more pliable. As Václav Havel points out, “individuals confirm the system, fulfill the system, make the system, are the system.” It is hard to brave tyranny, but it is worth remembering that power is only effective insofar as we submit ourselves to it.

Mastery, Mao Style
Historical amnesia is dangerous. Chairman Mao is a household name in the West. Yet he remains deeply misunderstood, or, deliberately ignored among academics who are well versed in the atrocities of the twentieth century. Many, at their peril, fail to recognize that Mao’s communist regime produced the deadliest episode in modern history. Few differentiate between Mao and other contemporary dictators such as Stalin, who killed people with troops. Mao was a masterful manipulator. He and his communist cadres inculcated hatred and resentment in the masses, mobilizing them to perform wanton killings of other Chinese, and turning the masses into a ferocious instrument of terror. Stalin killed humans; Mao killed humanity.

Public denunciation, forced conformism, false confession, acquiescence or outright lie, driven either by fear or expedience or calculation, were the essence of Maoist struggle sessions, and now typify woke America’s theatrical bickering on issues of race, transgender, or anything embodying identity politics, usually under the spotlight of social media or corporate media.

A shrewd strategist, Mao did not directly adopt the Marxist terms of oppressor versus oppressed. Rather, he translated them into “class enemy” and “the people” that carried heavier moral weight in Chinese parlance. Equally astute critical theorists weaponize terms such as “whites” against “people of color,” which taps into the complexity, sensitivity, and guilt associated with the history of race in America. The Maoist conception of class was defined by a state of mind, not birth. Hence, a proletarian birth did not guarantee a proletarian status without the demonstration of the proletarian attitude. The woke American analogy can be seen when black conservatives such as Candace Owens or Larry Elder are called white supremacists; even though race is supposedly the defining factor of all American culture and society, their blackness in particular is effaced by their political opinions.

War of All Against All
“Never forget class struggle” was predicated by the unfathomable death toll and the practice of cannibalism in the Great Famine, which seriously challenged Mao’s authority. To deflect attention away from himself, Mao blamed the Famine on “class enemies.” The Socialist Education Campaign was subsequently launched in 1963 to allegedly weed out “Rightists,” “capitalist roaders,” or “revisionists,” as if a whole slew of bourgeoisie suddenly mushroomed from the catastrophe of the Great Famine.

The motto “Never forget class struggle” marched into the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, mustering even higher zealotry. Little did Liu Shaoqi and Deng Xiaopin know that they would be the first to be purged in the Revolution, given their ruthless devotion in previous campaigns to hunting “Rightists.” With Liu and Deng serving as warnings, party officials learned that the only way to self-protection was to accuse preemptively others as “Rightists,” “capitalist roaders,” or “revisionists,” and later “spies” and “traitors.”

All in the name of Mao Zedong Thought, proletariat warriors divided into factions and fought each other, all asserting that they were the “true proletarian left,” much as today’s American wokesters excommunicate each other by calling them “racists,” “sexists,” “homophobes,” or “transphobes.”

Having survived Mao and the Party’s decades-long ideological mass movements, Chinese society today is pragmatic and utilitarian. Endless campaigns of thought reform have exhausted ordinary people and even party members, rendering them skeptical of Maoism or any ism. Power, not truth or ideology, is the only currency contemporary Chinese respect. Woke CRT devotees, who relentlessly chase the phantasm of racism, should take care, because the fire of ideology burns hot, but it also burns out fast.

America’s Intersectional Caste System
John Mac Ghlionn
Kowtow to the Leader

Confronting systemic anti-white discrimination
India, a country whose history, language, religion, and culture are synonymous with its caste system, divides its 1.4 billion people into rigid hierarchical groups.

The Indian caste system assigns everyone a rung on a socially-constructed ladder. Today, more than 200 million Indians find themselves on the bottom rung.

These people, the Dalits, cruelly referred to as the “untouchables,” are regularly denied access to basic necessities like education and healthcare.

Furthermore, social mobility is all but impossible. For the “untouchables,” ridiculed and persecuted, life is a miserable existence.

In the United States, a similar caste system has sprung up. Though it is only a few years rather than millennia old, the American caste system, like the Indian one, rewards some and demonizes others. The American caste system is the product of intersectionality, a framework that uses race, class, and gender to classify individuals. At the bottom of this shaky ladder you will find whites. More specifically, white men. To be even more specific, “cisgender” white men.
The demonization of white people is linked, paradoxically, to the notion of their inherent white privilege, a concept derived from theoretical suppositions sheltered assiduously from data. Across the United States, white people, all 200 million of them, have been reduced to a uniform blob. Progressives enjoy talking about lived experiences, but they ignore the lived experiences of white people.

After all, the lived experiences of a white Wall Street executive are very different from those of a white farm laborer in Montana. It is true that the very top of the American economic elite is disproportionately white, yet it is just as true that farmers commit suicide at three times the national rate, and  95 percent of American farmers are white. Within our intersectional caste system, though, facts, no matter how stark they may be, cannot compete with fallacious, emotionally-charged narratives.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, many minority groups earn considerably more than whites, from Pakistani Americans to Lebanese Americans, South African Americans to Sri Lankan Americans. Of all the ethnic groups, Indians are the highest earners. This should be celebrated: the United States, as promised, is a country where hardworking, diligent individuals, no matter their skin color or ethnicity, are rewarded for their efforts. So why do continue to hear that America is shot through with white supremacism?

Though Eric Weinstein’s concept of the gated institutional narrative (GIN) wasn’t necessarily designed to explain prejudice towards whites, it’s the perfect tool to explain this phenomenon. The GIN explains the ways in which heavily filtered information is presented to the public by the mainstream media and academics.

The New York Times’ 1619 project, for example, which has been heavily criticized by respected historians, paints the United States as inherently racist. This narrative, either implicitly or explicitly, labels all whites oppressors, the beneficiaries of a despotic system, and is widely accepted across all elite sectors of society.

The GIN is like an exclusive nightclub. Only the right kind of people can enter.

Heterodox thinkers and heterodox ideas are frowned upon. A very specific “dress code” is required, and very specific narratives must be adhered to. An increasing number of universities also subscribe to the GIN. Take Yale University, for example, where a lecturer recently shared her fantasies about murdering white people with students.

Sadly, this type of racism has worked its way into government legislation. As the New York Post reported in March, President Biden’s American Rescue Plan Act explicitly discriminated against whites. Black farmers were offered debt relief.

White farmers, meanwhile, were not. Another provision, according to the Post, “offered billions in aid to minority-owned and women-owned restaurants, but told struggling restaurant owners who happened to be white men that they had to go to the back of the line.” The infrastructure bill currently before Congress is full of anti-white racism.

In a recent essay, Sacha Golad, a scholar at King’s College London, described stupidity as “a lack of the necessary intellectual equipment.” To defeat stupidity, according to the author, society requires “not brute willpower but the construction of a new way of seeing our self and our world.” Some might call stupidity a lack of knowledge. But that’s not quite right. Stupidity is a lack of wisdom. After all, one can be in possession of good knowledge (Dublin is the capital of Ireland) or bad knowledge (all white people are privileged). Wisdom involves being able to separate good ideas from the bad.

The caste system that now dominates American society is the product of ignorance, the very opposite of wisdom. How can the American people defeat it?

“Brute force” is not an option. You cannot kill an idea. The caste system, an amalgamation of bad ideas, can be fought with better people in positions of power; but in the end, it can only be defeated with better ideas.

What The Right Needs Now Is The Courage To Fight Even If It Costs Us

All of a sudden, the conservative project is not a conservative one, so much as a counter-revolutionary one.

Mollie Hemingway

By Mollie Hemingway
SEPTEMBER 14, 2021

This is the text of the Bradley Prize acceptance speech the author gave on Sept. 13.

My brother skipped a grade, so he was small for his age when three other junior high school boys stole something from him and roughed him up one Friday after school.

My dad asked my despairing brother how he felt about it. He said he was angry and wanted to get his property back.

Dad explained that if he didn’t handle it, the bullies would never stop. He had my brother describe the boys and asked if he thought he could take on the biggest one.

That weekend, dad and a neighbor taught my brother some moves and strategy.

After the first period on Monday, my brother confronted his attacker and won the ensuing fight.

Today, everyday Americans are being bullied by a hard-left minority that unfortunately has taken over and controls most of the agenda-setting institutions in our country. As someone who works in the media space, I know what it is like to be a lonely voice taking on many of these powerful people.

I learned several things from my brother’s improbable victory.
First off, as Pat Buchanan wrote, “Courage is contagious, Defiance can lead to a recovery of will.” It is inspiring to see someone who chooses to risk his well-being for a higher good.

We live in a time when people act like stating one’s sexual preferences or whatever pronouns they’re using this week is courageous. I prefer David Azerrad’s definition that courage is the “Bold and principled defiance of the lies of the age.”

The conservative establishment, its politicians, and its media, don’t lack ideas or people. But too many of its leaders do lack determination and endurance and fearlessness. The people can tell. As it is said, “Men don’t follow titles, they follow courage.”

The conservative movement in D.C. has too often been engaged in insincere opposition to progressivism’s march through America’s institutions, both public and private. It has seemed mostly interested in negotiating terms of surrender or managing defeat than preserving the republic. It has stood athwart history impotently suggesting that progressives slow down. Michael Malice has therefore derided conservatism as just “Progressivism with a speed limit.”

Institutional conservatism and its alleged leaders have too frequently accepted the propaganda press’s treatment of conservatives as second-class citizens.

For conservatism to mean anything now, it has to be about rejecting this rigged system. Don’t just say “stop.” Our duty is to not to say “stop” but then bend the knee in cowardice when the mob comes. That brings even more harm to our more vulnerable neighbors and does nothing to prevent the destruction of the country.

It’s not comfortable for conservatives who value order and civility to even think or speak this way. But the fact is that many Americans are alienated from and no longer feel at home in their own country. The moral climate has been degraded as the left has taken over every single one of the powerful institutions in the country and is actively pushing people to lead a life of godlessness, barrenness, selfishness, gluttony, and addiction to outrage and dopamine.

All of a sudden, the conservative project is not a conservative one, so much as a counter-revolutionary one.

Unfortunately, anyone who dares take on the broken and corrupt political and media complex is teed up for absolute destruction. As lesser men cower in the face of the risk, the cost of standing up to the system becomes steeper and steeper. While you will not be locked up for saying the truth, yet, you will be demonized, stigmatized, deplatformed. You may lose your job.

The end result is America’s ability to get the course correction it desperately needs gets delayed. And at some point, if more people don’t stand up and fight hard, the nation is going to die.

Having said that, we must inoculate ourselves against excessive, if fashionable, pessimism. The truth may not prevail. But until then, there’s a heartwarming amount of defiance left in this country.

Also guard against mindless hopefulness. Hope is a virtue, but it can be a bit of a vice if it’s an unwarranted faith that everything will work out in this world or for this country.

Before he was executed for his opposition to Adolf Hitler, Lutheran pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote in one of his letters from prison about people who had “hilaritas,” which he described as “optimism about one’s own work, as boldness, willingness to defy the world and popular opinion, as the firm conviction that they are doing the world GOOD with their work, even if the world isn’t pleased with it.”

Let us have high-spirited confidence and faith in our positions. John Adams was right that “our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Abraham Lincoln was right to sacrifice everything for the sake of government of by and for the people. These truths remain important, which is why so many powerful people are fighting to keep it from being shared.

It’s not enough, though, that someone fights. The fight must be smart and tactical. While we are clearly entering an era where dissidents will be required, there’s no value in secular martyrdom or being just another victim of the regime.

The fight must be supplemented by prudence and strategy. Be bold and defiant, but we must also know where to aim our fire.

On the other hand, figuring out where to aim our fire is not that difficult right now. It brings to mind a quote from legendary Marine Chesty Puller: “They are in front of us, behind us, and we are flanked on both sides by an enemy that outnumbers us 29:1. They can’t get away from us now!”

It’s a target-rich environment. Now go out and pick one.

Ohio Mayor Puts School Board on Notice: ‘Resign or Face Criminal Charges For Distributing Child Pornography’ (VIDEO)

Ohio – Hudson Mayor Craig Shubert told the Hudson Board of Education during a meeting this week: ‘Resign or face criminal charges for distributing child pornography.’

Parents were infuriated after a book called “642 Things to Write About” was distributed to high school students along with an assignment to “write a sex scene you wouldn’t show your mom,” and “rewrite the sex scene from above into one that you’d let your mom read.”

Parents said the material in the book was a form of “grooming” and demanded action be taken against the school board.

“It has come to my attention that your educators are distributing essentially what is child pornography in the classroom,” Mayor Craig Shubert told the Hudson Board of Education during a meeting on Monday.

“I’ve spoken to a judge this evening. She’s already confirmed that. So I’m going to give you a simple choice: You either choose to resign from this board of education or you will be charged,” Shubert added as he stood up and walked away to cheers.

Ohio mayor, parents demand resignation of school board, teachers over inappropriate booklet

Booklet also includes such non-controversial topic ideas as describing the worst Thanksgiving dish one has ever had.

An Ohio mayor and parents are calling for the resignations of members of a local school board and teachers after high school students receive a book full on inappropriate suggested writing topics.

"It has come to my attention that your educators are distributing essentially what is child pornography in the classroom," city of Hudson Mayor Craig Shubert said Monday during the school board meeting, according to the news website Cleveland.com. "I've spoken to a judge this evening and she's already confirmed that. So I’m going to give you a simple choice: either choose to resign from this board of education or you will be charged."

Calls to officials by Just the News on Wednesday could determine whether anybody has resigned.

The writing ideas were given to students at Hudson High School’s Liberal Arts II writing class.

Monica Havens, the mother of a school senior who received the "642 Things to Write About" booklet, said at the board meeting of the suggested topics included:
  • Write a scene that begins: 'It was the first time I killed a man.'
  • Describe your favorite part of a man’s body using only verbs.
  • Write a sex scene you wouldn’t show your mom.
  • You have just been caught in bed by a jealous spouse. How will you talk your way out of this.
  • Write a letter from the point of view of a drug addict.
  • Write an X-rated Disney scenario.
The booklet also includes such non-controversial topic ideas as describing the worst Thanksgiving dish one has ever had, or the perfect day as an astronaut.
Havens said she asked her daughter to get the book from her backpack when she discovered the "horrific prompts, the news site also reports.

Hudson High School Principal Brian Wilch in the meeting said he became aware last week of the inappropriate writing prompts in the book, which is used as a support resource in a college credit course, and apologized.

“We did not exercise our due diligence when we reviewed this resource and we overlooked several prompts that were not appropriate," he said. "We felt terrible."

The class is offered in association with Hiram College, but is taught at the high school.

The school has also apologized and is working to collect the booklets. Wilch told the board and meeting attendees that the school will do a better job in the future when it comes to reviewing and selecting resources for class use.

Law Enforcement Agencies Are Now Buying Personal Cell Phone Data From Commercial Brokers Without Warrants

THURSDAY, SEP 16, 2021 - 05:30 PM

A meaningful debate is starting to brew about law enforcement's use of commercially available cell phone data for purposes of criminal investigations across the country.

The data, called open-source intelligence by those who advocate for it, used to only be prepared and sold by brokers, generally to marketers and advertisers.

Information is sent daily from "phones, cars and other connected devices" to commercial brokers, The Wall Street Journal wrote this week. That data is then widely used in "finance, real-estate planning and advertising".

But recently, these brokers have created products specifically for law enforcement. The products have "increasingly been used to screen airline passengers, find and track criminal suspects, and enforce immigration and counterterrorism laws," according to the Wall Street Journal.

Agencies that are using the data, or considering use of the data, include the Department of Homeland Security, the Internal Revenue Service and the FBI.

Skeptics of the practice see it as akin to warrantless searches, with the Journal characterizing the practice as an "end run around the constitutional guarantees against unlawful warrantless searches".

Legislators don't seem to be amused about the practice. Sen. Ron Wyden and Sen. Rand Paul have, in response, proposed a bill called "the Fourth Amendment Is Not for Sale Act" that will require government entities to get a court order before buying U.S. cellphone data.

Jennifer Granick, the surveillance and cybersecurity counsel for the Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project of the American Civil Liberties Union, commented: “Police and prosecutors never brag when they misuse capabilities like this; we only hear about the successes they want us to know about.”

The ACLU has supposed Wyden and Paul's proposed bill. "Law-enforcement agencies should be overseen by courts when trying to obtain information on Americans—even if it is available for purchase," the ACLU has argued.

Meanwhile, the main governing law, the Electronic Communications Privacy act, already allows companies to disclose user data in a situation where “the provider reasonably believes than an emergency involving immediate danger of death or serious physical injury to any person justifies disclosure of the information.”

COVID Hysteria Could Destroy A Generation

THURSDAY, SEP 16, 2021 - 04:30 PM
Authored by Rikki Schlott, op-ed via The Epoch Times,

Initial stay-at-home orders and widespread closures were implemented in a state of panic and uncertainty as COVID-19 quickly swept through the world. Without data, these measures were initially popularly accepted. Two weeks to stop the spread of a novel disease struck most citizens as more than reasonable.

But, as the months have dragged on, the ongoing implementation of lockdowns as a long-term, blunt-force tool has been an utter failure. With more data and information coming to light, many policymakers have failed to reinvestigate and reform their precautionary measures, thus increasingly acting both in conflict with science and in violation of liberties.

This is especially true of school closures. As we accrued more and more studies and demographical data about how COVID-19 impacts children, the findings have largely been a blessing. The risk of COVID-19 to small children is astronomically low, and the risk of transmission between students and their teachers is hugely unlikely.

After months of our kids suffering ill-effects of lockdowns, this should have been a cause for celebration and impetus to cautiously but excitedly reopen our schools. And, yet, closures have continued to drag on in many areas of the country—much to the detriment of students and their families alike.

Lockdowns have robbed children of a formative year of life, imprisoning them in their homes despite their negligible health risk. Basic socialization, formative lessons, and developmental milestones have all been stolen from them.

Many working parents have been forced to double as teachers. Private schools remained open while public schools across the street were shuttered. Socioeconomic divides have been exacerbated. But, for all the logistical consequences our children have faced from lockdown policies, our more consequential failure of them may very well be an ideological one.

Our children look up to us—their parents, their teachers, their communities—to take the lead, to provide guidance, and in the process to instill the skill of rational decision-making. But, in the past year amid pandemic hysteria, the adults around them have set a terrible example.

Deference to authority has been the theme of the pandemic:
  • Don’t buy masks, they don’t work. Now they do work, and your life depends on them.
  • The lab leak is an alt-right conspiracy theory. Now it’s likely fact.
  • COVID transmits indoors. Let’s close the public parks.
  • Mom and pop shops better board up. But Walmart is open.
  • Businesses are closed. But not for the politicians who need a blowout or gourmet dinners with lobbyists.
  • The list goes on and on...
Despite the contradictions, changing narrative, and blatant hypocrisy, many individuals have continued to toe the line. They dine for an hour at a dinner table in a crowded restaurant but put a mask on to walk out the door. They have chosen blind deference and performative virtue signaling over critical thinking and individual autonomy.

By following arbitrary rules and by failing to critically examine their own choices, adults have failed the children that look up to them when it mattered most. They have chosen a “because [insert authority figure here] said so” mindset over critical thinking. In the process, many parents missed a teaching opportunity.

As the science developed and risk ebbed and flowed, the pandemic presented a great learning opportunity for young people. Critical questions abound: What is my individual risk? What precautions work? How do I protect those around me? What risk am I willing to tolerate? How do I operate as a responsible citizen in a time of crisis?

Opportunities to scrutinize the science, to analyze data, to engage with cost-benefit analyses, and to make wise, informed decisions were abundant. It was a teaching opportunity that many missed, but the children of cognizant parents will reap the rewards.

We must admit when our initial policies have been wrong, and reform them in light of new evidence. We must reject sweeping, unscientific regulations and embrace personal responsibility. We must exercise reasonable caution while engaging in critical cost-benefit analysis.

If we continue to fail in this endeavor, we risk raising a generation that favors blind deference over critical thinking, and herd mentality over personal accountability.

The Conservative Temperament Is Dooming America

Authored by Bruce Abramson via RealClearPolitics.com,

William F. Buckley’s desire to “stand athwart history and yell ‘Stop!’” described a personality type more than a political agenda. Conservatives, by well-earned reputation, tend to revere traditions and institutions, trust authority, and favor measured, incremental change. Dana Carvey’s impersonation of George H.W. Bush caricatured the type brilliantly: “Wouldn’t be prudent, wouldn’t be prudent at this juncture.”

Without knocking prudence, however, shouting “Stop!” is only a smart strategy when you’re ahead. It doesn’t help when you’re losing.

In the 21st century, the right has lost control of every important American institution. Academia, K-12, the media, Silicon Valley, Hollywood, Wall Street, the civil service, the unions, most professional organizations, and corporate boardrooms. Even the top military brass trip over themselves flaunting their woke credentials.

Stopping time now would enshrine the stupidity, cruelty, and moral bankruptcy of radical leftist wokeism.

Conservatism—Bill Buckley’s version of it, anyway—is dead. It’s just as well. It failed to conserve much of anything. A movement standing athwart history and yelling stop in 2021 will remember four score and seven only as the number of genders.

There’s precious little in contemporary American life worth conserving. There’s a tremendous amount to cherish, however, in this country’s grand traditions. What America needs today is a counterrevolutionary restoration.

And that’s a problem. The GOP has spent decades promoting respectable, cautious, incrementalists like Mitch McConnell, John Roberts, and Kevin McCarthy—fine men blessed with none of the skills necessary to lead a counterrevolution.

Worse, conservatism has always held a particular attraction for people who view prudence, risk-aversion, reverence, and obedience as virtues. These traits are as overrepresented among rank-and-file Republicans as they are within party leadership.

America’s “Great Awokening” has thrown them into a state of deep inner turmoil. After all, a corrupted American institution is still an American institution. Even when all available evidence screams that institutional leadership has betrayed America, noncompliance feels wrong.

Such feelings, though laudable in other settings, are self-defeating when a society’s elite institutions and authorities have turned against its own people—as they have in the United States today. Current circumstances call for a very different personality type: bold, irreverent, eagerly noncompliant, and hypervigilant of the corruption that can render even legitimate authority unworthy of respect.

People possessing such traits have typically gravitated toward the political left, where their in-your-face attitude is valued, lauded, and rewarded. Until fairly recently, they’ve been in short supply on the right—and even then, relegated to a periphery reserved for the unseemly.

That’s why we often see woke leftists challenge the minor impurities of woke authorities, while conservatives comply dutifully with authorities whose instructions make them cringe. The combined message to American institutions is clear: Life is safer, cheaper, and calmer if you go woke.

With that message broadcast across America, the left will win in a rout. If the right wants to fight, it’s going to have to jettison its collective conservative temperament and embrace personalities capable of leading a restorationist movement.

That movement, already underway, explains much of the internal tension roiling the GOP. The Tea Party broke open the old, cautious Republican Party in 2010. Energetic activists far more interested in radical restoration than in conservative incrementalism began to come forward. In 2015, Donald Trump—a man no one has ever accused of prudence—seized the mantle that had seemed destined for the tonally conservative Jeb Bush.

This brash, flamboyant, celebrity businessman from Queens brought a left-wing personality style to right-wing politics. “Make America Great Again!” screams of radical action, not incremental change. That novel combination earned Trump far more policy successes and far more vitriol than any recent predecessor.

Trump turned counterrevolutionary restorationism into a true force on the right, in uneasy partnership with prudent conservatism. Many heavyweights who resented the transition chose to lay low, hoping to ride it out. Others—Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, and the NeverTrumpsters—preferred to lean woke while waggling a schoolmarmish finger in all directions.

Will the restorationism that Trump pioneered become a lasting political force? Or will it remain tied to his unique personality and disappear when he leaves the scene? The answer will define the future of the GOP—and the future of America.

Many of today’s rising conservative stars promise to build a far bolder GOP. Ted Cruz, Ron DeSantis, Rand Paul, and Jim Jordan may be less extreme personalities than Donald Trump, but they share his willingness to reject corrupt authority, challenge prevailing narratives, and promote strategic noncompliance.

If Trump can forge this younger generation into a sustainable restorationist movement, he will emerge as one of the most consequential figures in American history. If not, he will be remembered as a controversial speedbump on America’s glidepath into wokeness.

These questions will play themselves out over the next few years. By 2025 (at the latest) we will know whether America’s political right has reshaped itself into a counterrevolutionary force committed to restoring America’s great and exceptional traditional ideals—or settled comfortably into its role as designated finger-wagger of the woke era.

Sens. Rubio, Cramer Concerned Banks Could Discriminate Against Americans Based on Political Views

Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Kevin Cramer (R-ND) sent a letter to U.S. Department of the Treasury on Wednesday expressing concern about banks discriminating against Americans based on political views and beliefs.

The senators referenced an incident that occurred in August of this year, in which JPMorgan Chase & Co. allegedly terminated Lori Flynn’s credit cards due to the bank’s concerns of “reputational risk.” Mrs. Flynn is the wife of Lt. General Michael Flynn, former National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump, who received a pardon from then-President Trump for allegations he lied to the FBI during the Russia collusion hoax.

The bank has since claimed the termination was in error and reinstated her account, according to the Washington Examiner.

“We’ve contacted our customer to let her know that we made an error,” a Chase spokesperson said. “And we apologized for any inconvenience this caused.”

The senators said termination should be a “great concern to many Americans,” even if the cancellation was truly an accident.

“If political views are considered a valid factor in a bank’s determination of reputational risk for the purposes of determining access to credit, the banking services of millions of Americans could be put in jeopardy,” they wrote.

The lawmakers blasted the Biden Administration for contributing to the “ambiguity of the legal landscape” around fair access to credit that allows for “events like the above to occur and threatens the public’s trust in our financial system.” The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) reportedly paused its publication of a rule known as “Fair Access to Financial Services,” which would have doubly ensured banks use impartial standards to determine credit worthiness.

“This was a commonsense rule that should be reinstated,” they wrote.

As a result, both Cramer and Rubio introduced and/or joined in on legislation to keep banks from discriminatory behavior based on arbitrary measures. Cramer’s Fair Access to Bank Act would bar large banks from discriminating against lawfully operating people and businesses.

Rubio is lending his support to the Financial Defense of Industrial Contractors Act, which would protect contractors from discrimination by large banks.

The senators ended their letter questioning whether the OCC will protect Americans from events like what happened to Mrs. Flynn.

“What steps will you take to ensure that Americans are not penalized for their political affiliation and beliefs when seeking financial services?” they asked.

The senators also requested the OCC reinstate the 2020 Fair Access Rule.

Justice Clarence Thomas warns Americans against 'destroying our institutions' when they don't agree

The longtime conservative justice is fighting against the continually politicized image of the high court

Updated: September 17, 2021 - 10:51am

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is warning about the possibility of Americans "destroying our institutions because they don't give us what we want, when we want it."

The statement came in the context of the justice arguing, in an address Thursday to several hundred students at the University of Notre Dame, that it is integral that the high court remain independent from political polarization.

"I think the media makes it sound as though you are just always going right to your personal preference. So if they think you are antiabortion or something personally, they think that’s the way you always will come out," said Thomas, at the Catholic university in South Bend, Indiana. He also said the American public has become "good at finding something that separates us."

The long-serving conservative justice said that treating justices and judges like political figures is a sure way to "jeopardize any faith in the legal institutions."

"The court was thought to be the least dangerous branch and we may have become the most dangerous, and I think that's problematic," he said

Thomas maintains that his well documented Catholic faith has not come into conflict with some of the legal questions that have unfurled themselves before the court. "You do your job and you go cry alone," he said.

Earlier this month, Justice Amy Coney Barrett (the most recently appointed justice), said that it is necessary for members of the Supreme Court to be "hyper vigilant to make sure they're not letting personal biases creep into their decisions, since judges are people, too."

"To say the court's reasoning is flawed is different from saying the court is acting in a partisan manner," she continued during a speech delivered at the University of Louisville's McConnell Center.

The high court is currently receiving some public backlash following its 5-4 decision not to block the controversial Texas law that effectively bans abortions in the state.

Thomas ruled with the majority in the decision and has previously called on the court to overturn Roe v. Wade, a decision that could be revisited in the coming months as the high court reviews a Mississippi law that bans abortion after 15 weeks.

FedZilla's efforts to 'keep us safe' are unconstitutional!
Exclusive: Craige McMillan asserts, 'Big Media, Big Tech and Big Government are all Satan's whores'

Craige McMillan
By Craige McMillan
Published September 17, 2021 at 7:14pm

It's interesting, isn't it? The U.S. Constitution is silent on the largest financial and manpower effort our federal government has ever undertaken: Keeping us Safe! Trillions of dollars in taxpayer spending, millions upon millions of FedZilla employees, millions more FedZilla contractors, millions more cooperating state employees, and so many nonprofit organizations at the federal feeding trough that we must be the safest nation in world history!

Let's check the constitutional clause that mandates the federal government keep us all safe. Ah, here it is, right here:

Article I, Section 8:

(Congress) "shall have the power to … Provide for the Common Defense … To declare war." Ah, well, maybe it was:

Article II, Section 2:
"The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy ..." Hmm, that still sounds like war, which is hardly safe. Well, maybe it was:

Article IV, Section 4:
"The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a Republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion. …"

Well now that is interesting, isn't it? The vast majority of the federal government's activities and expenditures on behalf of its citizens is found nowhere in the Constitution! But wait, you say! FedZilla can just do whatever it wants!

Except for the 10th Amendment: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Let's be honest, folks. All of FedZilla's efforts to "keep us safe" are unconstitutional. The expenditures to carry them out are unconstitutional. The employee salaries, benefits, retirements and whatever else are unconstitutional. Individual states may or may not lay claim to keeping their citizens safe, depending on their state constitutions, but the federal government is not empowered to "keep us safe," nor is it empowered to spend any money doing so.

Just for fun, let's look at how FedZilla is doing at "keeping us safe."
  • Invasion? Fedzilla has collapsed the southern border of the nation (and states located there) for the express purpose of fostering an invasion by unaccompanied children, criminal gangs, smuggling operations, drug and human traffickers, because these open borders please big corporations that want their labor costs driven down to almost nothing.
  • Medical? FedZilla has lied about the effectiveness and safety of prophylactic treatments for flu-like illnesses, warning and threatening state governors, health care workers and doctors about license loss for prescribing the same treatments that Uttar Pradesh, the largest state in India, has used to completely eradicate these illnesses. But the medical arm of FedZilla is demanding that everyone, except illegal aliens, be vaccinated with Big Pharma concoctions, which are still in the early phases of their long-term testing. Oh, FedZilla also financially protects Big Pharma from vaccine side effect lawsuits. And individuals running FedZilla also accept financial payments from Big Pharma, which of course make no difference in the determination of a product's license.
  • Physical Safety? There is no evidence of failure here until after an American citizen or family is robbed, raped, maimed, run over or killed by illegal imports from the southern border, or unvetted planeloads of Afghans fleeing FedZilla's surrender to the Taliban. Only then can we demonstrate that importing these people and releasing them into our nation is dangerous. BLM and Antifa can burn down Minneapolis, Portland and a host of other cities without federal "keeping us safe" law enforcement employing their armory to stop them. They can attack local police with impunity or federal assistance. That fed armory is reserved to be used against citizens who might want to protect their homes and businesses from government-imported criminals.
The federal government is $30 trillion in debt because it is filled with corrupt, worthless politicians who could give a rat's a** what the Constitution says or doesn't say about what they want to do to "keep us safe." All they really care about is their corruption.
Advertisement - story continues below

Now through the end of this September, FedZilla's lights dim and emergency power takes over, because nobody's got any money to keep the lights on. Come Oct. 15, everything shuts down and FedZilla will be exposed as the worthless fraud that it is and has been for most of our lives.

Money is the lifeblood of politics. When the money stops, it's game over. No more paychecks for our valued civil servants "keeping us safe." We need a national cooling off period. No continuing resolutions to kick the can further down the generational road. No back door budgets. No political payola from the banking and corporate elites to keep their empires rolling.

Big Media, Big Tech and Big Government are all Satan's whores, and the American people are their trafficked children. Shut it down, and God will deal with it. We must trust Him at this point, because there is no other answer. He is making that abundantly clear. You might pass that on to your elected representative when you call him or her to deliver the shut it down, time out, cooling off message. This is the Second American Revolution. The battle belongs to the Lord. But the victory belongs to us.

Watch: Scumbag Teacher Laughs While Explaining How She Disregards the Law to Continue Teaching Her Students CRT – (Video)

By Julian Conradson
Published September 18, 2021 at 7:30pm

Another radical leftist masquerading as an educator has been exposed after she brazenly bragged about ignoring a new state law that bans teaching radical anti-American lies like Critical Race Theory (CRT).

In June, the state of Iowa passed a law – House File 802 – prohibiting subjects related to racism or sexism training and diversity and inclusion efforts at governmental agencies and entities – Including school districts and public postsecondary educational institutions. In short, CRT has been essentially outlawed from public schools.

Petra Lange, an Iowa schoolteacher at West Des Moines’ Valley High School, appeared on a zoom call to discuss “urban anti-racism education” and happily shared what she thinks is a “clever workaround” to the state’s new law with the group.

Her solution? Explain to her students, in great detail, what concepts are illegal to teach, then encourage them to ask as many questions about the subjects as possible. That way, she can discuss CRT without actually ‘teaching’ it, according to her.

“I literally put the law in front of them, gave them access with a link, and I said I need to just let you know there are now concepts that it is illegal for me to teach you about according to the state of Iowa.

So I went through those ten defined concepts with them, um, so that they could see what the law was – and they immediately, by the time I think we were on the second or third one, they’re like ‘but is it legal for me to ask questions?’

I was like ‘this is only for me, you can ask as many questions as you like;’ and then i took him to the part of the law that said this law doesn’t prohibit me from answering questions.

I said ‘so if there is any question that you have about these defined concepts, you can ask them and then I can answer them.‘ *outburst of laughter*”
Truly sick… This teacher has no regard for her responsibility as a public educator and thinks that she, and her colleagues that she is encouraging, are above the law and can do whatever they please with the children in their care.

The wording in the new law does not prohibit questions from being answered about the ban, but it is entirely different for her to walk through each topic in an effort to prompt her students into asking questions.

In reality, Lange is openly defying the ban and continuing to teach her students the poisonous CRT doctrine. The state should set an example with her and show that the new law isn’t just for show. At the very least, she needs to be investigated and, if what she is bragging about is true, fired.

It’s clear that she views her loophole as a long-term solution and has no plans to cease teaching these unamerican lies. Lange even asked her students to think about what questions they can come up with so she can build their course for the upcoming semester.
“So I said let’s just take another minute – what questions do you have that you want me to build this course around and take some time to answer.

The questions after going through HF-802 were so much more pointed. Like one of them straight up was a sticky note that says ‘is the United States systemically racist?’and i was like well that would be a fascinating conversation that now we can have because you’ve asked.”

Wokeness: An Evil Of Our Age

SATURDAY, SEP 18, 2021 - 10:30 PM
Authored by Victor Davis Hanson via AmGreatness.com,
History is replete with examples of nations, successful and not-so-successful alike, that abruptly committed suicide.

The ancient polis of Corcyra devoured itself in a bloody conflict as a collective madness took hold of the island city-state during the Peloponnesian War.

The Jacobins in 1793 hijacked the French Revolution and turned a movement toward a constitutional republic into a totalitarian, year-zero effort to destroy the past and ensure equity for all—or else. The Reign of Terror—and eventually Napoleon—followed.

The effort to force war-weary Czarist Russia to reform into a constitutional monarchy ended up being kidnapped by a small but lethal clique of Leninist Bolsheviks. What ensued was the destruction of Russian life—and millions of corpses—over the next 70 years. Ditto Mao Zedong’s various murderous resets culminating in the cannibalistic “Cultural Revolution.” Mao’s final tab was 60-70 million deaths of his fellow Chinese.

French, Russian, and Chinese wokists all toppled statues, canceled out the nonbelievers, wiped away history, tore down monuments, and declared themselves the purest of all generations in their year zero—before getting down to the business of dividing up the spoils and settling scores.

Most of these bloodbaths started out with the supposedly noble idea of delivering social justice, equity, and fairness before they inevitably went deadly and feral. We should be just as worried about our own woke pandemic.

Mythological

Start with the idea that “wokeness” is an ideology divorced from reality. Nearly all of its premises are complete distortions.

Between 2017 and 2020, minorities had made the greatest gains in employment in U.S. history. Women currently represent about 60 percent of all college students.

Recent wage gains for minority middle-class Americans outpaced those of the white working- and middle class. The latter were underrepresented in college enrollments and as graduates—but vastly overrepresented (at twice their percentage of the general population) in the toll of combat dead in Afghanistan and Iraq. Asian-Americans and a dozen other ethnic groups outpace so-called whites in per capita and household income. “White privilege” is usually a sloppy term that applies mostly to the white elites who use it to smear others.

America was in our sixth decade of “affirmative action,” the euphemism of ensuring equity of result by calibrating race and gender—but not class—in hiring and admissions. Proportional representation and disparate impact continued or were even enhanced. But they became increasingly selective as entire fields from the Postal Service to professional sports were somehow exempt from racial set-asides applied to others. Quotas disappeared when the marginalized were “overrepresented” in a field.

The historical reparatory effort of the massive programs born out of the Great Society continued to address the baleful legacy of slavery that had ended over 150 years ago, as well as Southern Jim Crow laws that had largely disappeared 40-50 years ago, and the fumes of such racial toxicity. So, Martin Luther King’s “content of our character” rather than the “color of our skin” was still embraced as the melting-pot ideal of the Civil Rights movement that had fought for integration and full assimilation into American society. Meanwhile, intermarriage has never been more common.

The desperate Left had therefore been forced to invent adjectives and phraseology like “systemic racism” and “microaggression” and “whiteness” given the vast majority of Americans did not feel or express or act out on “racism.”

In other words, wokeness created the mythology that the nonwhite were worse off than ever before—a typical revolutionary fabrication to evoke the sort of hysteria necessary for an otherwise unpopular agenda. But then again, we live in an age where we were assured Hunter Biden’s lost laptop was “Russian disinformation”, the Steele dossier was iron-clad proof of something, and a pangolin or a bat birthed COVID-19.

The wrongful death of George Floyd in police custody—despite his later angelic deification, Floyd was in fact a felon with a history of violence toward women, arrested in the act of passing counterfeit U.S. currency—was the work of a cruel rogue cop and his incompetent enablers.

Otherwise, data and statistics did not show that African American males were dying while in police custody in numbers greater than their proportions of those yearly arrested. Nor were they the victims of some pandemic of interracial hate crimes. Indeed, blacks statistically were more likely to commit rare violent interracial crimes than were others, including targeted hate crimes against other ethnic and racial groups.

Elite-Driven

Another great lie was the propaganda that the woke movement was a grass-roots movement. Yet statue-toppling, vandalism, Trotskyism, and cancel culture remain largely the work of college students, upper-middle class white coastal elites, celebrities, and privileged minorities in the media, academia, law, the corporate world, entertainment, and professional sports.

In a reductionist sense, much of the woke movement became a battle among elites to leverage diversity czars in universities, reparational quotas in administrative hiring and college admissions, and a sort of racialized intramural reseating among first-class passengers on the corporate and government Lido deck.

While wokeists harangued New York and Hollywood for more nonwhites in TV commercials, thousands of young African American males continued to be slaughtered in the inner-cities, as schools in those places resisted reform and remained indifferent to the poor quality of education offered residents. Because the culpable municipal officials—hard-Left diversity mayors, neo-Marxist district attorneys, and “reformist” police chiefs—were themselves woke, no one cared about derelict governance. And so, the killing continues unabated, surrealistically unremarked upon by the wokest.

Class considerations were suppressed, given that the beneficiaries of wokeness were not necessarily previously poor and oppressed. In our racialized madness, billionaires like LeBron James, Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, and Beyonce, multimillionaires like the Obamas and Colin Kaepernick, and moneyed political, corporate, entertainment, military, and sports grandees—play-acted oppression and victimization from their villas and privileged perches, in perfect Marie Antoinette fashion. All they lacked was fake peasant garb and a village at Versailles.

The architects themselves of wokeness mostly cashed in on the supposedly toxic capitalist system that they had so harangued as the ground zero of “systemic racism.” So, BLM cofounder and self-described “cultural Marxist” Patrisse Cullors is now “retired”—and the savvy owner of four new homes, residing in nearly all-white tony Topanga Canyon, with a new $35,000 security gate. How else could she best use her black privilege to direct her multimillion-dollar war against “white privilege”?

Professor Ibram X. Kendi (neé Henry Rogers), whose “antiracist” new industry calls for racism to stop racism and discrimination to end discrimination, now charges his corporate and university clients a reportedly $20,000 penance fee for a phoned-in Zoom chat. (He apparently has no discount rate for the poorer of his clients). Kendi no doubt took Lenin to heart (“Capitalists will sell us the rope to hang them with.”) when he hawks his video indulgences at $333 a minute.

The cultural revolutionary Ta-Nehisi Paul Coates was customarily already one step ahead and has moved on from the woke movement to a multimillion-dollar career writing black-themed comic books or adapting them to the big screen. Barack and Michelle Obama, long ago known for their cinematic creativity, leveraged a $50 million “consulting” movie deal with Netflix, whose founder is best known in California for his efforts to fund the campaign against Larry Elder, including commercials starring . . . Barack Obama.

Racist

Wokeness took the Obama-era mantra of diversity and simply shed any pretense that it was not racist. Remember, after 2009 our elites institutionalized the new-old idea that anyone claiming not to be white was suddenly part of a new inclusive oppressed class, one at war with the racial oppressors.

“Diversity” was a clever update of the previously failed Jesse Jackson idea of a victimized rainbow coalition that would aggregate, and force-multiply collective grievances against white male victimizers.

Suddenly, ethnic groups with higher per capita incomes than so-called whites were victims.

There were no requisites to being “diverse” other than claiming nonwhite status. Wealthy Punjabi immigrants, Chilean aristocrats, illegal aliens fleeing racist Mexico, Nigerian doctors—anyone rich or poor, resident or citizen, victimized or not—was presto! “diverse” and thereby eligible for reparatory claims in hiring and admissions.

Many liberal whites wished to get in on it and got caught at it—whether Ward Churchill with this entire Native American tribal garb, or, on the cheaper side, Elizabeth Warren with her “high” cheek bones or racial fabulists Rachel Dolezal and Shaun King. After all, if gender is “constructed,” then naturally race, too, could become a construct.

All this is dangerous because we are now logically headed to DNA-categorized ID badges reminiscent of yellow Star of David patches. Here once again Elizabeth Warren had been in the lead—claiming that her boomeranged DNA results showing a tiny drop of Native American lineage were thus proof that she was an indigenous victim after all—and so in her troubled mind truly had been deserving as the first Native American law professor at Harvard. Given this nonsense, one would think a distracted America has no real debt and is in possession of a secure border, a thriving economy, a brilliantly educated youth, and only friends abroad.

Why is Wokeism Deadly?

Wokeism is a lethal distraction. As General Mark Milley, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Chief of Naval Operations Michael Gilday lectured the nation on the various nefarious strains of white rage, whiteness, and white supremacy, the Taliban was systematically gobbling up Afghanistan. Meanwhile their boss in the White House quoted his woke military experts in order to lie there was no danger of a general collapse. No general objected. Apparently, Biden even phoned the Afghan president in a sordid attempt to leverage him likewise to lie that all was well. The ubiquitous Alexander Vindman was not listening in this time around.

In a traditional Islamic society, what were woke Americans doing bragging about gender studies programs at an Afghan university, flying pride flags at the U.S. embassy, and encouraging honorific George Floyd street murals? All that is usually the haughty cultural imperialism of would-be winners, not the virtue signaling of a defeated and humiliated diplomatic and military cohort fleeing toward the exits.

Think of this for a second: as the U.S. bureaucracy invested trillions in Afghanistan to virtue-signal against supposed George-Floyd type racism, its media appendages said nothing back home as the black candidate for the California governorship was the target of an egg-throwing woman wearing a gorilla mask. What a grotesque reminder that empires flounder abroad as they rot at home.

So these distractions never sleep, even amid the greatest defeat and loss of global deterrence in U.S. military history since Vietnam. True ideologues that they are, even our defeated on the battlefield are unfazed in their wokeist creed.

As Kabul suffered its end of days, our bemedaled wokists were still lecturing the country about the gender ratios of the Afghan refugees on U.S. flights out, the culturally sensitive food awaiting them, and a new idea of a soft Taliban—or the notion that the medieval gangsters who had defeated the Pentagon were not really all that bad, but more likely “partners” in a shared agenda of seeing us skedaddle by August 31. Will they say that in six months?

Woke indemnity blinds us to racism and classism. Gavin Newsom, of French Laundry repute, is the epitome of a white-male mediocrity leveraging his rich family friends to elevate himself by quid pro quo favoritism. Joe Biden has voiced the most racist rants of any presidential candidate or president in the last 50 years (just recently he referred to his own senior black official as “boy”). Both bought woke insurance that inoculates them against their hypocrisy—or perhaps further fuels their own class and racial biases with an efficacy rate much more impressive than COVID vaccinations.

The creation of the blanket term “whiteness” is racist to the core. It imputes to anyone considered not sufficiently pigmented some sort of conspiratorial evil, regardless of individual character, beliefs, family history, or ideological outlook. It is incoherent since it blames the United States, and everything in it, for whiteness, and then demands that the nonwhite south of the equator from Africa to Asia be given instant access to this supposedly failed white contaminated miasma. Scarier still for the wokist, whiteness is just the new face of the old racist “blackness,” in which racists imputed to individual blacks supposedly collective pathologies in order to justify discrimination against a single individual.

Once the neo-Confederate idea of color triumphs, then there is no logical reason why “blackness,” “brownness,” “yellowness,” “redness” and every sort of pigmentary category should not be used to condemn individuals for their supposed membership in a taboo racial tribe, massaged and negatively stereotyped for contemporary advantage. We are headed back to 1840 not ahead to 2040.

If Something Can’t Go On Forever, It Will Stop

Finally, wokeism is unsustainable. We are already seeing large numbers of the supposedly “nonwhite” pushback against the wokeist trajectory, knowing that such a racialist monster may soon devour them, too. Drawing artificial racial Mason-Dixon lines inside millions of multiracial families, after the initial grifting subsides, will only incur anger at those who drew them. When Confederates embraced the one-drop, one-sixteenth rule, there was unanimous later agreement that it was not just abjectly racist, but lunatic; when the woke borrow such racial distillery it too will eventually be rejected as the crackpot hatred that it is.

There are probably some 100 million white males of the lower- and middle classes. Most feel little if any identity with the woke upper-middle class and wealthy bicoastal white male elite of some 20-30 million. If anything, a trucker from Boise has more in common with a Mexican-American sheriff in Modesto than he does with a woke techie in Menlo Park.

So, what is truly evil is the current woke trademark of loud privileged whites who scapegoat the losers in the globalist game as racist (or in the Obama-Hillary Clinton-Biden patois of “clingers,” “deplorables,” “irredeemables,” “dregs,” “chumps”), mostly out of elite condescension, virtue-signaling guilt, and pathetic contextualizing their own privilege by projecting their unearned status onto supposedly distant cultural losers.

There will be a substantial political correction to the madness, mostly because without one there is no longer a confident America abroad that advances and protects the interest of a free world challenged by nightmarish Chinese Communism.

Such racist selectivity would destroy a meritocratic and productive free market economy at home that fuels the Left’s massive government redistribution.

The victory of woke would guarantee that as Americans went full pre-modern and pre-civilizational, we would look in the mirror, straining to redefine and recategorize ourselves, and then search out which particular tribal band offers us the best protection from the roving mobs—and each other.

Even the Chinese apparat could not invent a more evil, more macabre way to destroy the United States.

Parents Band Together, Force Resignation Of School Superintendent Who Pushed For Teaching Critical Race Theory

A school superintendent abruptly resigned on Wednesday after parents became unhappy with many of his proposals, including mask mandates and bringing critical race theory to the school.

News 12 in the Bronx reported that Dr. Martin Cox, superintendent at Clarkstown Central School resigned, citing “personal reasons.” The school board “very quickly voted 5 to 1 Tuesday night in support of his resignation without ever explaining to the community why he is leaving,” the outlet reported.

The outlet reported that Cox was allowed to resign instead of being fired, but repeatedly said it was unclear why he resigned. The outlet then proceeded to note numerous reasons why parents were unhappy with Cox’s leadership. From News 12:
He was seen as anti-justice and anti-police for his delayed response to a controversial presentation done by a student about the Black Lives Matter movement.
Parents were also critical of his decision to enforce a mask mandate for students and staff this year before the CDC and state Health Department did.
Parents got so outraged at a meeting that they had to end it after just 15 minutes, with parents yelling and refusing to wear masks.
Some parents applauded Tuesday night when they heard the announcement of his departure, although some did appreciate his work for their kids.

Some parents tell News 12 many disagreed with Cox’s COVID-19 and mask mandates and that there was concern over talk of bringing critical race theory into the school’s curriculum as well as diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI, policies. “I don’t think Marty Cox really was connected to the soul of the community and in being disconnected that turned a lot of people off to him and his policies,” says Joe Solari, parent.
Journalist Christopher Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and writer at The City-Journal, wrote on Twitter that his sources told him that “parents banded together, filed FOIA requests, and pressured the board to oust him.”

In a statement, Cox said he was thankful for his time as superintendent.

“I wish our students the very best with all their educational endeavors, both now and in the future. In addition, I am thankful for our teachers, staff, and administrators, whose daily efforts make a positive impact for students,” he said, according to News 12.

The school board released its own statement thanking Cox and revealing that assistant superintendent for personnel Jeff Sobel would take over as the interim superintendent until a replacement could be found.

“Mr. Sobel has agreed to fill this leadership position until an Interim Superintendent or a new Superintendent is appointed,” the board wrote. “We remain confident that a new Superintendent for our district will be in place for the start of the 2022-23 academic year.”
The board added that the transition to a new superintendent wouldn’t stop the district from enacting policies to protect students and faculty from COVID-19 and various other issues facing students.'

The Daily Voice reported that Cox had been superintendent since 2016.

With this one bolded portion, Victor Davis Hanson signals that he is unable, or unwilling, to acknowledge the possibility that Afghanistan was also about heroin/poppy production, as well as a pending critical land route for future gas pipeline projects - both would be/are large revenue generating opportunities for those that control such.

So once again, a clear indicator why home schooling & Charter Schools* are in the ascendancy.

* I understand Charter Schools to be a directly-controlled-by-parents entity operating outside an School Board or School district control.
Note: different states, maybe even down to County level, will have different rules.

Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Tells Idaho Real Estate Agent “LIBERTY” and “CONSTITUTIONAL” are Racist Terms and He Must Remove Them From His Ads

Northern Idaho patriot Todd Savage, a real estate broker and owner of Black Rifle Real Estate, recently received a demand letter from his local real estate Multiple Listing Service (MLS) that is affiliated with the National Association of Realtors. The letter stated that using the words “LIBERTY” and “CONSTITUTIONAL” on his ads were ‘racially charge code words’.

In his advertisement, Mr. Savage stated that the property is for “Liberty/Constitutional buyers ONLY.”

Here is a copy of the original verbiage from Mr. Savage’s ad for Black Rifle Real Estate.

MLS demanded that Mr. Savage revise the language used in his listings immediately. Failure to do so will result in the removal of his listings from its website.

According to MLS, “liberty/constitutional buyers” could be a code word for minorities or immigrants because immigrants are not always American citizens and it might result in a lawsuit against them.

Here is an excerpt from the demand letter sent by MLS’ attorney on September 16:
The language at issue states: “This property for sale to Liberty / Constitutional Buyers ONLY.” On its face, the Listings do not violate the FHA. However, the Listsings place MLS at risk of litigation for disparate-treatment or disparate impact under the FHA. The FHA makes it unlawful to, among other things, make unavailable or deny, a dwelling to any person because of race, color, religion, sex, familial status, or national origin. The FHA has been interpreted to prohibit not just intentional discrimination, but also actions that have a discriminatory effect.

Here, there is a risk that “constitutionally based buyers” or “liberty based buyers” could be a code word for minorities or immigrants because immigrants are not always American citizens. The listing itself could be used against the MLS as evidence of the biases. While the listing on its face does not discriminate against a protected class, the legal parameters surrounding disparate impact discrimination and disparate treatment discrimination put the MLS at a risk for a lawsuit.

Based on this risk, MLS demands you modify the Listing language within two business days of the date of this letter. If you refuse to modify the language, your Listings will be removed. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
Mr. Savage released his official statement to the Gateway Pundit regarding the matter where he changed the listing to, “Land for sale to folks that don’t get their feelings hurt”.

“I’m the owner of Black Rifle Real Estate and Flee the City, both firms that focus on helping folks make a strategic relocation to a safer part of the country. With the tyrannical mask and vaccine mandates, many families are seeking a place that honors their beliefs and allows them to home school their children, grow food, and live a sustainable lifestyle.

We use words and terms in our listings on the local MLS such as ‘Liberty’ and ‘Constitutional’ to help prospective buyers find a property that meets their specific criteria. It’s a dark day in America when a local CDA MLS (Multiple Listing Service) affiliated with the National Association of Realtors takes the stance that the words ‘Liberty’ and ‘Constitutional’ may be interpreted as ‘racially charged code words’. This is an example of how the far left implements communist ideology thru Nazi-style stasi tactics in all walks of life. The local MLS has the right to protect their liability by editing what is allowed to be posted by its’ members, this is called freedom, and I honor that. However, I have the right to redress my grievances in a public forum and show the country how ‘Liberty and Constitutionally’ minded real estate brokers are treated by the local MLS. I have complied with the demand letter by changing the listing to simply say “Land for sale to folks that don’t get their feelings hurt”. God Bless America!”
Mr. Savage stated on his website Black Rifle, “THE VERY FOUNDATION OF LIBERTY IS AT STAKE IN OUR COUNTRY.”

He continued:
“Our Founding Fathers shed blood to preserve our God given rights to this amazing land and Black Rifle is here to ensure that such land is in the hands of Patriots. For when the storm arrives we shall prevail, at any cost.”
