I hope I can ask this here. I have a 70,000 BTU Reddyheater that burns kero. The thing wouldn't stay lit. The techie told me the photocell was probably dirty so I blew it off. It stays lit now but only as long as I leave the cover off. As soon as I put the cover (housing) back on, it won't stay lit. Any ideas?

no real idea on the maintenance on one...the last kero heater I has I was on the ranch and ended up using my oven and a fan to warm the place up.
The boss, also on the ranch in his own house told me one time "Man, I didn't realize how high the elevtric was gonna be out here for the Winter..!"
At any raye-maybe wiping the pjotoelectric thinga-majiggy off with a rag will help?
How bout making sure there is proper airflow?
Does it use a wick? Make sure it's set/trimmed right.
Get a different heater.
