Johnson Whips Out Ukraine Funding Promise To Appease Senate, No Mention Of Border Security

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) told Republican Senators that the House would be sending over legislation to send more US taxpayer funds to defend Ukraine's border.

This bite at the apple, however, will "look substantially different than the $95 billion foreign aid package the senate passed last month," according to The Hill.

For starters, Johnson suggested that the package could be a loan or lend-lease program in order to pretend that the US will ever see any return on the 'investment' - an idea floated by former President Donald Trump last month.

Next, Johnson suggested something similar to the REPO for Ukrainians Act sponsored by Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX), which would allow for the confiscation of Russian sovereign assets - which would be liquidated and deposited into a Ukraine support fund, senators told the outlet.

Absent from the discussion was any mention of whether US border reforms would be included, such as "Remain in Mexico" language, which Senate Democrats would vehemently support.

Singing a different tune to the press?

While Johnson made all sorts of promises to the Senate, he told the NY Post that Ukraine funding will take a backseat to funding the federal government for the rest of the fiscal year.
Johnson (R-La.) underscored his support for Kyiv against Russia’s invasion during a “Fireside Chat’ with The Post’s Josh Christenson at the House GOP Issues Conference, but claimed that moving too quickly on a bill that includes $60 billion in assistance for eastern Europe could have sunk government spending talks.
"It was important for us to not put the supplemental in front of the appropriations bills because it would affect, probably, the vote tally ultimately on the appropriations and we had to get our government funded," he told the outlet.

Johnson's appeal to the senate came one day after Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) pressured him to bring the Senate-passed package funding Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan to the House floor.

"I did get the sense that after the appropriations bills were taken care of that they would turn to that, and there have been a number of suggestions. One has to do with the forfeiture, basically, of $300 billion in Russian assets, which I think is a great idea," said Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), who was one of 22 GOP senators who voted for the package last month.

As for seizing Russian assets, Cornyn said "It would be justice to make the Russians to pay for Ukraine, pay the United States and allies for arming Ukraine."

Cornyn also voiced support for the lend-lease program for Ukraine, either on top of - or instead of, the $60 billion included in the Senate's emergency funding package.

"That’s what FDR did in World War II," Cornyn said of the lend-lease program, referring to Franklin Roosevelt's 1941 program to arm Britain and other allies against Nazi Germany - a horrible comparison.
After hearing from Johnson, Cornyn said he’s “pretty optimistic” about the House sending a Ukraine aid package to the Senate.
“I’ve heard the Speaker now say ‘We’re not going to leave Ukraine empty-handed,’ or words to that effect,” he said.
Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.), who also attended the meeting, said the Speaker clearly stated his intention to help Ukraine.
He was pretty clear about it,” Cramer said of Johnson’s indication that he would like to pass a lend-lease program and legislation to seize Russian assets to pay for a Ukraine support fund. -The Hill
"No one wants Vladimir Putin to prevail. I’m of the opinion that he wouldn’t stop at Ukraine … and go all through the way through Europe," Johnson told reporters during the House Republican retreat at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia late Wednesday. "There is a right and wrong there, a good versus evil in my view, and Ukraine is the victim here."

Lindsey Graham (R-SC), meanwhile, said that a lend-lease program would help Ukraine to stop Russia from making gains on the battlefield.
"I think it’s an elegant solution, particularly with the REPO Act, where you can take oligarch assets," he said, apparently very excited over the prospect of sending more Ukrainians to die on the premise that Putin won't stop at Ukraine.

Graham suggested that any loan to Ukraine would be "waivable" and wouldn't carry interest.

But of course.

I've said for 15 years or more that we wouldn't see the end of 2024 in any sort of politically-recognizable form. As that page of the calendar approaches, it's reaffirming my statements dating back to when the bright, clean Negro came on the big stage.

I sure didn't see the path we'd take to get to the collapse, and definitely didn't see a split term billionaire businessman as their lightning rod, but it has all gone from Point A to Point B in an easily-forecast pattern even if the map was not clear.

Ol' Wile E. has been racing for the cliff's edge for decades, and anyone looking deeper than the slapstick surface crap knows what's coming. November 5th is when, one way or another, the coyote runs off the cliff. How long he's suspended there before he looks down and craps himself, then holds up his "bye-bye" sign, remains to be seen. THEN it will get interesting and ya best be ready for it, in all ways.

I am not sure of the motivation of the congress critters, but there is something more to this Ukraine fiasco that we know, but confiscating Russian assets will lead to war. Saying Speaker Johnson is a disappointment is an understatement and it shows just how evil things in DC are. I think he is probably a good man, but right now we need a warrior. It is extremely frustrating to think where we are as a bankrupt nation still throwing billions at a corrupt nation when we allow our own country to be compromised.

This nation is in deep kimchee right now and it isn't getting any better. The moral decay we have witnessed in the last 50 years is astounding. When I was still living at home, before my uncle requested my service, we didn't lock our doors, left keys in our car, etc. We knew all our neighbors and they looked out for us kids when we were doing kid stuff. Today, I have my wife lock our doors when I am gone. Our neighborhood is very eclectic, I know a couple of close neighbors, but would have to speak several languages to be able to get to know the others and I live in a small town. Right now you are asking, where is he going with this?

We have become a nation who has turned our backs on the Living God and are about to reap what has been sown. The lid on the last box is being loosened. When this thing goes kinetic, and I believe it will, who will have my back and who will have yours? I have looked into the 'eye of the tiger' and it is not an attractive prospect to revisit. My wife of almost 56 years and I have discussed these ramifications when judgement is upon us. Perhaps it is time for many to evaluate where you will spend eternity if/when this goes south.

The ultimate long-term plan of destroying our Constitutional Republic was assisted by bush with the implementation of the so-called Patriot Act. which in reality opened the door to another expansion of a police state that unified the alphabet agencies to create a surveillance and disinformation system designed too primarily target patriotic citizens instead of actual threats to our republic. In other words, another tool in the toolbox for the "deep state"

In 2008 with public sentiment toward the government at a low many people were fooled into voting for the new administration that promised transparency, change, and unity. Even though "so called" mainstream media did their best to hide the truth about obama and labeled anyone who tried to expose the truth as a racist or a conspiracy nut. The truth was out there for those who cared enough to do their own research.

It was not long after the obama regime took power before it became evident that pretty much everything, they ran on was actually opposite of the direction they took when in office. The new regime further increased the surveillance and police state while taking every opportunity to create division within every group whether it be race, wealth, religion, or sexual preference. The divide between different groups and classes grew exponentially. During the obama administrations first term they had succeeded in accelerating the long-termed plan of destroying our Constitutional Republic through division, expansion of the surveillance and police state, and a major economic downturn. The deep state was pleased with the results.

As the 2012 election neared knowing that many were suffering from the economic hardships and failed policies of the incumbent administration the rnc selected romney as the republican challenger. A weak candidate that at best could be considered a rino. One may even come to the conclusion they intentionally selected a candidate to benefit the opposition party. The same could be said for the 2008 election as mccain was also at best a warmongering rino. If the republicans had truly wanted to appeal to the conservative base, they would have had mccain run as the vp and Palin as the potus. As with the previous election there were cases of fraud again but with such a poor republican candidate it is not known if the win was only based on fraud. For four more years division was stirred, economic hardship continued, and the police and surveillance state became even larger and more powerful. During his eight years as vp china joe was the idiot no one took seriously. His racism would slip out occasionally and needless to say obama was never fond of him.

When the 2016 election neared the socialist democrats underestimated just how severely the obama administration had alienated the majority of America. They still had their corrupt mainstream media working overtime to censor news of clintons unpopularity and poor health. They also had all the players in place to pull off the fraud they thought they needed to push their unpopular candidate over the finish line. Due to their arrogant nature, they grossly underestimated just how fed up the majority of Americans were with the direction our country was headed and failed to have enough fraud and corruption in place to steal this election.

2016, For the first time in a long time we finally had a president who, for the most part put America and the best interest of American citizens first. Those who had been working for so long to destroy our Constitutional Republic, and seeing their plans accelerated under the obama administration would have to find a way to continue their agenda since they had intended for clinton to finish the job that obama had accelerated. Trump, new to being a politician underestimated just how corrupt our government had grown. He listened to people he thought shared his vision resulting in many enemies of our Constitutional republic filling positions within his administration. His underestimation of the deep state would cost him dearly with never ending investigations, impeachment attempts, and illegal surveillance of himself and those loyal to him. If only he had properly vetted those he trusted and had just a handful of those high-ranking officials who had committed crimes before he was elected honestly investigated and prosecuted his time in office would have very likely been much smoother. Even with all the enemies within he did do some good and managed to keep us out of foreign wars, turn our economy around, secure our southern border, and make America energy independent. With all the attacks from the deep state falling short a man-made china virus (bioweapon) was released. Trump fell for the exaggerated lethality of the virus and pushed to expedite a vaccine in order to preserve the economic success he had helped create. Once again those motivated by profit and/or their desire to destroy our Constitutional Republic came to offer their solutions and/or advice. Lockdowns, mass vaccination, school closures, business closures. All resulting in increased fatalities, increase mental health issues, and destroy America economically.

When time came for the 2020 election the deep state, corrupt media, and enemies of our Constitutional Republic had learned a valuable lesson from 2016. In china joes own words he said "we have the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics". The mainstream media tried to downplay what had clearly been said claiming he misspoke. Think of it what you like but in my personal view it seems the more dementia ridden biden slips the more he unintentionally lets the truth slip out. As far as the results of the 2020 fraud, we have seen our borders being overrun, our economy is tanking, division is at an all-time high, the surveillance/police state has grown even more powerful, and the deficit spending and involvement in foreign wars is on the verge of collapsing the little value our fiat currency has left.

What will happen in 2024 remains to be seem but I do believe that the total destruction of our Constitutional Republic was planned to have been completed by the end of clintons term if she could have stolen the 2016 election. I believe they, as in the deep state, globalists, corrupt media, and anyone else who wants to destroy our Constitutional Republic and start our path toward a global dictatorship will do whatever it takes including killing however many they need to insure a 2024 administration that finishes the job that accelerated under obama and accelerated faster under biden. Whether we like it or not we will all be participants or victims in this, the last battle of a very long war that will determine the fate of our Constitutional Republic.
