Ummm…no for me. I recognize the value of one, but they are expensive and require paying a tax as well as applying for permission. But, it’s nice that the waiting time has gone down for those interested. I’m a bit surprised at that given the director there.

A trust allows you to assign people as trustees, so they can be in possession of the suppressors/SBRs, etc. So your DW, or kids over 18 can be trustees, and they can use the suppressors without you being present. You can also assign a beneficiary, so ownership can continue when you die without getting the ATF involved.

I didn't watch the video. But there was some speculation that the ATF hired a bunch of people to do background checks for the brace/sbr applications, but not many people chose to submit that paperwork, ha.

Other than a trust a LLC will also work - years ago there was NO NAME required just the LLC. Actually in purchasing a Full Auto or suppressor it was illegal for the FFL dealer to run a back ground check on the person making the purchase as the sale was to the LLC. So while all the Libs were in a panic on background checks little did they know that someone could purchase a Sub-Gun with NO background check - have to love it.
However a few years ago they "corrected" this minor loop hole - now a person needs to be ID for the purchase
The good old days - flash backs as a kid looking at the S&R catalog - anything you wanted - delivered to your door - now that is freedom - sadly long gone

There are fights against the restrictions on suppressors as really it is an ATF over reach as suppressors in other parts of the world are actually legally required to be on guns to prevent disturbing wild life and neighboors...

I just saw a SBR, or short barrel rifle, go through on a Form 1, in two days.
