Is anyone else mulching their garden with woodchips? How's it going. I am doing it and the problem I have is with a creeping weed. Some call it bermuda grass. It loooves woodchips.
We've been doing it for a couple of years. It's amazing the yield we've gotten vs the very poor yields from our natural soil. I think we're going into our third year with it. We've had some issues with Bermuda grass, but not horrible yet.
I've been doing it for several years. For best results you need to put a couple of inches of new chips down every couple of year and don't till. Plant in the bottom layer of chips and try not to disturb the rest of the chips too much.
