An illegal alien, accused of causing St. Johns County, Florida, sheriff’s office Sgt. Michael Kunovich’s death, has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit claiming his limited English-speaking skills make him disabled.

As Breitbart News reported, 19-year-old illegal alien Virgilio Aguilar-Mendez of Guatemala was arrested in May 2023 and has been charged with resisting an officer with violence and manslaughter in connection with Kunovich’s death.
This week, Aguilar-Mendez’s defense attorneys filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Kunovich’s estate, Lt. Jose Jimenez, who also responded to the incident, and St. Johns County, claiming that their client is disabled because he does not speak English or Spanish and was thus denied his rights under the “Americans with Disabilities Act” and the “Rehabilitation Act.”
The Florida Times-Union reports:
Aguilar Mendez’s native language is Mam, not Spanish or English, according to the filing. His limited understanding of English and Spanish is his disability, and he was denied an interpreter at the scene and at the Sheriff’s Office to allow him to understand his Miranda rights before Jimenez interrogated him. The lawsuit does not note that Jimenez questioned him in Spanish, which is referenced in arrest documents, but states Mam “translation into other languages, such as Spanish or English, can take on a different structure.” [Emphasis added]

Aguilar-Mendez’s attorneys have said he is a victim of racism and police brutality at the hands of Kunovich.
“Mr. Virgilio was a victim of police brutality. He was a victim of racial profiling,” his attorney said. “He was a victim of violation of his fourth, fifth, and sixth amendment constitutional rights. Those who are responsible for this abuse will be held accountable.”
According to police, on May 19, Kunovich lawfully attempted to pat down Aguilar-Mendez while he was sitting outside of a closed business. Aguilar-Mendez, instead of complying, tried to flee from Kunovich.

When other officers got involved, Aguilar-Mendez continued resisting. Eventually, Kunovich was on the ground in a struggle with Aguilar-Mendez, who attempted to grab the officer’s taser off his person. The struggle lasted for more than six minutes.
Afterward, Aguilar-Mendez was handcuffed but pulled out a pocketknife, which was quickly taken from him. Following the struggle with Aguilar-Mendez, Kunovich collapsed on the ground. First responders administered lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

Aguilar-Mendez is an illegal alien from Guatemala. He arrived at the United States-Mexico border in 2023 and was subsequently released into the United States. According to his attorney, Aguilar-Mendez had been working on a farm and sending money back to Guatemala.

It's bad enough he is illegal, it's worse that he killed the officer, absurd that he is claiming disability status because he's not fluent in English, but it is just plain EVIL to file a claim against the estate of the officer. The officer's family must be reeling. I hope the illegal goes straight to hell.

Edited to add: I've since watched the video. It's still bad enough that he's illegal, it seems he does speak some English but it's not a legal disability, and he didn't kill the officer. The officer was medically unsound whether he knew it or not. It's still EVIL that he's filing a claim against the estate of the officer.

This crap is not just Soro’s, we should find the lawyer and organization paying the bills and STOP their money.

Owner was asked by his church to help with the annual Church World Service "Walk for Hunger."

Yunno how this works. Participants go out door to door and get "sign-ups" who pledge so much per mile for the participant. Most contributors just "gift" the participant in advance of the walk because its easier.

So Owner checked into the Walk for Hunger financials online. Annual budget about $77 Million, of which perhaps $60 Million are provided by government grants. $44 Million of this go to "relocation assistance of the hungry." So in effect the government is paying to "charitably relocate" Illegals into your country. And using Church World Service as the agent/name.

Owner says he declined involvement.

Well he is illegal and he should not be here. However he did not kill this officer. The officer died from a health issue because of exertion. Also if you watch the videos out there on web it's my opinion and of others how the officer approached this person and dealt with him is very questionable. One must ask how would you interact if you or your son were approached in that manner.

I am totally against illegal immigration. I am totally against what is being allowed to happen. But I will be the only one here to say this. The cop was a total Ahole to the guy. He died because he overstressed himself. It was visible from the video that came out from not only his body cam, but those that arrived to help him. From the time the deputy got out of the car, he was a prick to the guy and the guy obvious to anyone who watched the video did not understand what was happening or understand what he was being told. And then the cop does what 90% of cops do, lay hands on people that don't comply. If that had been a citizen of the US whether he was white black or any other nationality the outcome would have been the same by the cops, it happens every single day all across the US and seldom a word is said.


The illegal is charged with murder, and as someone stated he is allowed a fair trial and a lawyer if he had been a US citizen, how many potential civil rights violations did we see being done by the officers?

This idiot cop was doing something unlawful. The "perp" was hassled without probable cause of any crime. In this case, the cop was totally in the wrong. The cop died because he was in bad health. Alot of heart attacks and other things happening after the vaxx poison shots... likely he took them, and if so, it was his choice again to do something stupid.
