It's that nasty lesser of two evils again. It is not going to do a bit of good to vote for Mitt Romney here in Illinois. Obama is going to win this state. He will win all of Illinois electoral votes and that will be that............Think about what I just said. If he wins Illinois by one vote he will recieve all twenty electorial votes.........I am going to try and do some good with my vote......I plan on voting for the Constitution Party candidate, Virgil Goode.
The two dominating political parties in Illinois have made it extremly hard for a third party to get on the ballot. It seems they do not want any competition........The Republican Party in Illinois is'nt worth a hill of beans. They have been drifting to the left for years. Illinois deserves better and the Constitution Party is much much better....Check out the Constitution Party web site....
http://www.constitutionparty.com/ Read their platform, it's some good stuff. Check out Virgil Goode. He is an ex six term congresman from Virginia. I believe he is a good man to carry the torch for the party this year, and while you are at it check out the other Constitution Party candidates who are on the ballot.
You will probably say I am wasting my vote by voting for Goode. As I said earlier, Obama is going to win his so called "home state"............Obama will recieve all twenty electoral votes, Mitt Romney will recieve zero......So what will you have achieved by voting for Romney.....You can say you voted for the lesser of two evils and that is about it. So if I am right you are wasting your vote by voting for Mitt Romney. If it was going to be a tight race here in Illinois I have to honestly say I would probably have to hold my nose and vote for Romney, but that is not going to be the case. It's sad to say but Illinois belongs to Obama
We all know that Virgil Goode is not going to be the next president.......Him being president is not the point..........The point is what he and the Constitution Party stand for and what they can do for Illinois.........I honestly think a vote for Virgil Goode could change the face of politics here in Illinois.........For you see, if a third party presidential candidate gets five percent or more of the Illinois vote in the general election it means they have to be considered an official political party in the entire state of Illinois. That means when the next election cycle comes around the Constitution Party would automaticaly be on the ballot and instead of their candidates jumping through hoops and being shot down by the powers that be they would simply do as the other parties do and run in a primary. That means there would be many more Constitution Party Candidates in the General Election. I would personally hope to see some of their candidates elected to office. I think that would be a wonderful thing for Illinois.
On the other hand the Constitution Party would maybe wake up the Republican Party and make them take notice. The Constitution Party would be competing with the Republican Party for votes and and votes seem to be the biggest concern of both the democrats and the Republicans. For the most part both parties seem to
vote to keep their jobs and power. They dont seem to do a whole lot of voting for what is best for the state or country. It seems the RP would have to start putting up some conservative candidates and that would be good for Illinois. It sounds like a win, win situation to me, either we will have the Constitution Party candidate in office or possibly a more conservative Constitututionaly aware Republican in office So I am voting for Virgil Goode for president and there is no way any one can convince me I am wasting my vote..................All he needs is 5% of the Illinois vote in November. This is the perfect year to do it. God Knows We Need A Change............Give the Constitution Party a chance...................... I intend to.
