Grnhouse I built a greenhouse over the last 6 months

I have been busy working on building myself a greenhouse over the fall/winter. Not only was this a great learning experience for myself and my son we now have the space to start lots of extras for friends, family, and selling.

I was able to salvage the windows from someone on FB and found the door at a secondhand home store. I had the shelves and lights from my previous indoor operations. The rest I bought as I could afford it.

Ha!

Now you got to add on to it. Or make a much bigger one! Soon your be installing a ventilation system, evaporation system, and or a dehumidifing system with central AC.

A friend has made it rich, by building custom grow rooms out of 40 foot connexes/shipping containers. He invests a few weeks of his time, and about $30k in HVAC and dehumidifiers with grow tables and drainage/water systems. Plus more for more currency. He averages over $100,000 per container.

Not bad, not bad at all.

I also use old plastic mini-blind slats for plant markers, but I cut them twice as long as I need them, and then cut each of those pieces in half on the diagonal so that each marker ends up with one pointed end, which is much easier to shove into the soil.

Here is a little plant progress update. The tomatoes and peppers will need transplanting soon.

Dusk this evening.

I have to say, I really enjoy just spending time in my greenhouse.
you have some transplanting to do - that's a good thing.
We started several Compari tomato inside a while back, just about ready to transplant.

Nicely done. Wish the wood prices around here would get back to normal. I've been salvaging windows right and left, so I'm ready to go, but dang!! The cost of wood is through the roof....bad pun.

Masterphreak, do you think your particular design would take four feet of snow on the roof? That's my biggest issue here on the mountain.
