WASHINGTON (AP) — A subpoena seeking documents from Hunter Biden asked for information related to more than two dozen entities, including Ukraine gas company Burisma, according to a person familiar with a Justice Department tax investigation of President-elect Joe Biden’s son.

The breadth of the subpoena, issued Tuesday, underscores the wide-angle lens prosecutors are taking as they examine the younger Biden’s finances and international business ventures.

Hunter Biden’s ties to Burisma in particular have long dogged the policy work and political aspirations of his father, Joe Biden, now the president-elect of the United States. It’s unclear whether Hunter Biden’s work at the Ukrainian company is a central part of the federal investigation or whether prosecutors are simply seeking information about all his sources of income in recent years.

The person was not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

A lawyer for the younger Biden, George Mesires, did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment for this story and a spokesman for the Biden transition team declined to comment.

Hunter Biden confirmed Wednesday that his taxes are under federal investigation. The revelation comes at a delicate time for the president-elect, who is building out his Cabinet and will soon decide on his nominee to run the Justice Department, the same department overseeing the investigation into his son.

In addition to the Burisma-related request, the subpoena issued last week also seeks information on Hunter Biden’s Chinese business dealings and other financial transactions.

The probe was launched in 2018, the year before his father announced his candidacy for president. At one point in the investigation, federal prosecutors were also examining potential money laundering offenses, two people familiar with the matter told the AP.

Hunter Biden said he only learned of the investigation on Tuesday.
The younger Biden joined the board of Burisma in 2014, around the time his father, then vice president, was helping conduct the Obama administration’s foreign policy with Ukraine. President Donald Trump and his allies have long argued, without evidence, that Hunter Biden’s work in Ukraine influenced the Obama administration’s policies toward the Eastern European nation.

Senate Republicans said in a report earlier this year that the appointment may have posed a conflict of interest but did not provide evidence that any policies were directly affected by Hunter Biden’s work.

The president-elect is not believed to be a focus of the investigation. He has not weighed in on the merits of the investigation, saying only to reporters on Friday that he was “proud of my son.”

For months, the U.S. attorney’s office in Pittsburgh has also been collecting information from Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, and others as part of the Justice Department’s process to receive and analyze information related to Ukraine, including documents Giuliani wanted to present to prosecutors that he had been gathering in Ukraine about Joe and Hunter Biden.

In announcing that process in February, Barr cautioned that the department had to be careful about any information coming from Ukraine, saying: “There are a lot of agendas in the Ukraine, a lot of cross currents. And we can’t take anything we received from Ukraine at face value.”

The former New York City mayor was a main character when the House voted to impeach Trump. The impeachment inquiry centered on Trump’s dealings with Ukraine’s president and whether he abused his office by seeking the
investigation into the Bidens. Giuliani pressured officials to do the investigations and has been pushing unsubstantiated corruption allegations against the Bidens.

Giuliani himself had also been under federal investigation, with federal prosecutors in Manhattan examining whether he failed to register as a foreign agent, according to people familiar with the matter. It was unclear whether that investigation remains active as Trump has discussed the possibility of preemptive pardons for some of his family members and close associates, including Giuliani.

Over the past week there is suddenly a rush to report on Hunter Biden’s illegal dealings with the Chinese. Why is this all being reported now after months of coverup by Big Media?

We reported extensively on the corrupt and sick nature of Hunter Biden before the election. Unfortunately at the time we were the only ones reporting on this.

Now suddenly Big Media is reporting on Hunter’s activities with the Chinese. The Daily Caller reports:

The investigation into Hunter Biden is more extensive than indicated in a statement he issued this week, according to multiple reports that say that federal prosecutors are scrutinizing Biden’s foreign business deals, including with one of China’s largest energy companies.

One area of focus is Biden’s financial relationship with CEFC China Energy, a major energy holding company whose chairman is believed to have ties to the communist party.

Emails, text messages and financial documents show that CEFC wired $6 million to bank accounts and firms controlled by Biden in 2017 and 2018.

Some of the transactions were flagged for possible criminal activity, according to a report that Senate Republicans released in September. A $3.5 million wire transfer from a Russian billionaire to a firm linked to Biden in February 2014 was also flagged by bank regulators for suspicious activity, the report said.

Conservative radio show Mark Levin called Republican Utah Sen. Mitt Romney a “dumb ass” for dismissing controversy over Hunter Biden’s business dealings yet voted to impeach President Trump over a “perfectly legitimate phone.”

The failed 2012 presidential contender dismissed a Republican-led probe into Hunter Biden’s dealings with Ukraine in September as “not the legitimate role of government.”

“Obviously, it is the province of campaigns and political parties’ opposition research, the media, to carry out political endeavors, to learn about or dust-up one’s opponent. But it’s not the legitimate role of government or Congress, or for taxpayer expense to be used in an effort to damage political opponents,” Romney said.

It was revealed last week that Biden is under federal investigation over his taxes.
In February, Romney became the first senator to vote against his own party’s president in an impeachment trial after allegations Trump improperly pursued help from Ukraine ahead of the election to investigate Biden.

"This verdict is ours to render," Romney said at the time. "The grave question the Constitution tasks senators to answer is whether the president committed an act so extreme and egregious that it rises to the level of a 'high crime and misdemeanor.' Yes, he did."

Romney’s vote sparked the ire of Trump, who said Romney could have won the 2012 election if he had acted in such a manner on the campaign trail.

Another email begs for answers from Joe Biden’s vice-presidential running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris. Fox News reports:

A list of “key domestic contacts” for a joint venture involving Jim and Hunter Biden and now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co. included former Vice President Joe Biden‘s current running mate Sen. Kamala Harris, among other prominent Democrats, Fox News has learned.
An email exclusively obtained by Fox News, with the subject line “Phase one domestic contacts/ projects” and dated May 15, 2017, Biden’s brother, Jim Biden, shared a list of “key domestic contacts for phase one target projects.”

The email is unrelated to the laptop or hard drive purportedly belonging to Hunter Biden, the former vice president’s son.

Jim Biden is the Democratic nominee’s brother.

It’s a shame the media won’t stir itself to cover this. Or, if they do, they’ll spin it faster than a NutriBullet.

It looks for all the world like the whole Biden family trades on Joe’s long and mediocre career in politics, with Hunter as the tip of the lucrative spear.

And they don’t care at all about who they trade with, including the communist oligarchy that rules China.

Here is the actual email. Mr. Bobulinski is one of the cc’d recipients, along with Hunter Biden and two others.

The Biden camp has not responded to it in any way. Joe himself remains under his self-imposed lid until after tonight’s final presidential debate, which will be moderated by a journalist with longstanding Democratic ties. Harris has yet to hold any sort of press event. The malevolent media have not clamored for one.
Sen. Harris is specifically named in the email, along with several other prominent Democrats and one Republican.

The list, included Harris, D-Calif.; Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.; Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.; Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.; New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo; New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio; former Virginia Gov. Terry McCauliffe, among others.

One question comes quickly to mind: Was Harris ever contacted about this, and if so, by whom? Will the moderator ask it of Joe?

Bobulinski has confirmed both the authenticity of the laptop email related to him and claims that the cryptic reference to “the Big Guy,” who would supposedly rake in $10 million from the deal with a Chinese energy company, is in fact a reference to Joe Biden.

Bobulinski was referring to an email, Fox News obtained last week, dated May 13, 2017, which included a discussion of “remuneration packages” for six people in a business deal with a Chinese energy firm. The email appeared to identify Biden as “Chair / Vice Chair depending on agreement with CEFC,” in an apparent reference to now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co.

Reaction from most of the media and the Biden camp: crickets.

CEFC is close with the communist government, as are all successful mainland Chinese companies, and has been involved in Beijing’s “Belt and Road” initiative by which China has sought to use its economic and manufacturing might to displace U.S. influence around the world.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said Congress should have been told that Hunter Biden’s business dealings were being investigated as they were conducting President Donald Trump’s impeachment inquiry and trial.

“I’m sympathetic for keeping investigations confidential unless there’s an indictment,” Johnson told Fox Business’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“But when you’re talking about investigations within the political realm, particularly one that would have affected the impeachment trial of the sitting U.S. president in the U.S. Senate, that should have been relevant information, the fact that they had Hunter Biden’s computer that had all these emails back in December 2019.”

He was referring to a Wall Street Journal report that suggested Attorney General William Barr was aware of investigations involving Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s son months before the impeachment inquiry.


The Department of Justice didn’t immediately respond to a request by The Epoch Times for comment.

“That was before the trial, that was part of that impeachment, we should have known that,” Johnson said. “When I met with the attorney general, it was really talking about the corrupt FBI investigation relating to the Russian hoax, so I don’t believe I ever really talked about our investigations of Hunter Biden, which, by the way - we never targeted the Bidens.”

Hunter Biden last week confirmed he’s being investigated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware over “tax issues,” which was later confirmed by former Vice President Biden’s team. Johnson and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) have been investigating the younger Biden for about a year, releasing reports that found he had allegedly extensive ties to foreign nationals with links to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). One whistleblower and former Biden business partner, Tony Bobulinski, said in October that the whole family is “compromised” by the CCP.

“That whole issue was brought forth during the impeachment. That’s when we started expanding our Ukrainian investigation to include his financial dealings, and then when we started seeing all these wire transfers that were connected to Hunter Biden,” Johnson said.

Justice Department guidelines stipulate that investigators shouldn’t take overt actions before an election.

Biden has denied that he knew anything about his son’s business dealings, and his campaign has said he never met with a Ukrainian gas company adviser with whom his son allegedly tried to meet in Washington. That allegation was the subject of an explosive New York Post report in mid-October.

In a statement on Dec. 9, Hunter Biden said he is “confident” he handled his tax affairs “legally and appropriately” after disclosing that he is under investigation.

It was taken over by the state in 2018; its chairman just 'disappeared,' Ye Jianming. This is an individual that had ties to the Communist Party of China as well as the People’s Liberation Army."

Since the US Attorney's Office launched an investigation on Hunter Biden's taxes, the president-elect's son has said he would be willing to cooperate with any investigation. Biden put out a statement last week saying that he takes the matter very seriously.

"I learned yesterday for the first time that the US Attorney's Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs," Biden said.

"I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including the benefit of professional tax advisors."

So far, neither Joe Biden nor Hunter Biden has added anything on the ongoing investigation. When asked about the U.S. Attorney's Office probing of Hunter Biden’s taxes, the President Elect told reporters he would stand by his son.

"I'm proud of my son," Joe Biden said.

"Now we found out that Hunter Biden wrote an e-mail to his landlord asking for keys for Joe Biden, James Biden, Gongwen Dong. The signage was supposed to reflect Hudson West, which was the CEFC USA subsidiary," Sen. Johnson said:

Now, CEFC, that's that Chinese company. It was taken over by the state in 2018. Its chairman just disappeared, Ye Jianming. This is an individual that had ties to the Communist Party of China, as well as the People's Liberation Army.

These are the people, this is the business that the Bidens were fully in bed with, again, setting up an office with, to have the emissary, Gongwen Dong, get a key to that same office.

So, we are finding out more and more of how involved not only Hunter Biden was, but also James, as well as Joe Biden. And he has not been truthful with the American public. And it's about time that the press starts asking questions.

As I said before in this election, this is not going away. This is a big mess. It's going to be a bigger mess if it becomes a Biden presidency. And that looks like the way we're headed.

Joe Biden has denied ever speaking to his son about Hunter's overseas business dealings: "I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden told a reporter in September 2019.

More recently, at the final presidential debate in October, Biden said, "My son has not made money in terms of this thing about, what are you talking? China."
Tony Bobulinksi, a former business partner of Hunter Biden, came forward after that final presidential debate to refute Biden's assertion that his son never made money from China. Bobulinski called Joe a “liar.”

Bobulinski also described his two brief, face-to-face meetings with former Vice President Joe Biden in May 2017: "There was no other reason for me to be in that bar meeting Joe Biden than to discuss what I was doing with his family's name and the Chinese CEFC,” he told Fox News's Tucker Carlson.

Joe Biden has not denied that such meetings took place.

Just last week, the Biden-Harris transition team released a statement announcing that Hunter Biden's "tax affairs" are under investigation by federal prosecutors.
Simultaneously, Joe Biden issued a one-sentence statement expressing pride in his troubled son.

Johnson and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chair of the Finance Committee, have been investigating Hunter Biden's lucrative overseas business deals for about a year now.

In September, they issued a report revealing millions of dollars in "questionable financial transactions between Hunter Biden and his associates and foreign individuals, including the wife of the former mayor of Moscow and individuals with ties to the Chinese Communist Party."

Among other things, the report highlights the following:

-- Hunter Biden had business associations with Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong, and other Chinese nationals linked to the Communist government and People’s Liberation Army. Those associations resulted in millions of dollars in questionable transactions.

-- Hunter Biden opened a bank account with Gongwen Dong that financed a $100,000 global spending spree with James Biden and Sara Biden.

Johnson said the impeachment of Donald Trump expanded his committee's investigation into Hunter Biden:

That whole issue was brought forth during the impeachment. That's when we started expanding our Ukrainian investigation to include his financial dealings.

And then, when we started seeing all these wire transfers that were connected to Hunter Biden -- and we're not just talking -- again, Hunter said he never made a cent off of China. No, he made millions of dollars. And there are other transactions with this Hudson West company, which is on the signage.

That's Hudson West, CEFC U.S., OK? That's what the signage was going to be for that business. Hudson West literally has tens of millions of dollars in wire transfers back and forth. Again, I don't know all of the details, but they are troubling to have that kind of dollars being exchanged without any answers whatsoever.

The federal investigation into President-elect Joe Biden’s son Hunter has been more extensive than a statement from Hunter Biden indicates, according to a person with firsthand knowledge of the investigation.

On Wednesday, Hunter Biden said he had been contacted about a tax investigation out of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware.

In addition to Delaware, the securities fraud unit in the Southern District of New York also scrutinized Hunter Biden’s finances, according to the person with direct knowledge of the investigation. The person said that, as of early last year, investigators in Delaware and Washington were also probing potential money laundering and Hunter Biden’s foreign ties. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

In addition to the probe into Hunter Biden, federal authorities in the Western District of Pennsylvania are conducting a criminal investigation of a hospital business in which Joe Biden’s brother James was involved. Federal officials have asked questions about James Biden's role in the business, according to a second person with direct knowledge of that investigation, who said it remains ongoing.

There is no indication that Joe Biden himself is under investigation, but if the cases remain open when Joe Biden takes office, they could complicate his presidency, and shine an unflattering light on his relatives' dealings, which often seek to capitalize on the Biden family’s political connections.


“I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors,” Hunter Biden said in a statement. Neither Biden’s transition nor George Mesires, a lawyer for Hunter and James Biden, immediately responded to requests for comment.

The Biden-Harris transition, which had previously denied any awareness of federal probes into Hunter’s business dealings, struck a defensive note in a statement accompanying Hunter’s.

"President-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger," the transition team said in a statement.

Earlier this month, Biden pledged that his relatives would avoid conflicts of interest. “My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict, with inappropriate distance from the presidency and government,” he said.

But the existence of probes involving the president-elect’s son and a business with ties to his brother present a new set of challenges for the incoming administration.

Kathleen Clark, a law professor at Washington University in St. Louis and an expert in government ethics, said that under longstanding post-Watergate norms, communications between the Justice Department and the White House concerning criminal investigations should be strictly limited. Clark said that Attorney General William Barr has eroded those norms, and that any ongoing investigation of Biden’s relatives should prompt the next leader of the Justice Department to reaffirm them.

“It would be important for some internal messaging in the Justice Department to underline the Justice Department’s independence,” Clark said. “What Biden and a Biden DOJ need to do is emphasize that Biden will not interject himself in specific DOJ investigations.”

The investigation of Hunter Biden has dealt primarily with his financial ties to foreign figures and businesses, according to the person familiar with it. In a standard practice for tax investigations, the Tax Division at Main Justice in Washington has also been involved in the probe, the person said.

In recent years, Hunter Biden has served on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, whose founder faced allegations of corruption, and did legal work for Gabriel Popoviciu, a Romainian businessman accused of corruption.
Hunter Biden has also pursued deals with Chinese oil magnate Ye Jianming and an associate of Ye’s, Patrick Ho. In 2018, Ho was convicted in the Southern District of New York of violating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act over his attempts to bribe government officials in Chad and Uganda.

Another business partner of Hunter Biden’s, Devon Archer, was convicted in 2018 in the Southern District of New York on unrelated fraud charges. Bank records showing foreign payments to Hunter Biden surfaced as a part of that case.
After a judge overturned Archer’s conviction in late 2018 (an appeals court reinstated the conviction last month), prosecutors in the SDNY securities fraud unit revisited Archer’s case and began last year to scrutinize those foreign payments to Hunter Biden, looking for signs of money laundering, according to the person with firsthand knowledge of the investigation. But after conferring with prosecutors in Delaware, whose investigation was already well underway and acknowledged Wednesday by Hunter Biden, prosecutors in the SDNY securities fraud unit ceased their probing without opening a separate, formal investigation, the person said.

Justice Department spokesperson Kerri Kupec declined to comment, as did spokespeople for the SDNY and Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Offices.
Hunter Biden has also faced recent tax problems. In July, the District of Columbia levied a $453,000 lien against him for unpaid state taxes, which he quickly satisfied, according to D.C. tax records accessed through the database service Nexis. The lien was first reported by the Washington Free Beacon.


FBI agents, meanwhile, have been asking about James Biden’s dealings with the hospital company Americore Health, an operator of rural hospitals, as part of an investigation based out of the Western District of Pennsylvania, according to the person with direct knowledge of that investigation.

In late January, FBI agents raided an Americore hospital in Ellwood City, Pa., and carted off boxes. The raid, which has been previously reported, followed crippling dysfunction at the hospital.

Americore, which is in bankruptcy, has faced allegations of mismanagement unrelated to James Biden, and it is not clear whether his activities are a focus of the investigation.

The exact nature of James Biden’s involvement with Americore is also disputed.
POLITICO previously reported that he briefly had an office at the company’s Florida headquarters in 2018. A business card identifying him as a “principal” of Americore was entered into court records in a civil case in Tennessee, but he has disputed that he is a principal of the company.

Former business contacts of James Biden’s have said that he invoked his powerful older brother’s name and influence in the course of his involvement with Americore, though he has disputed their accounts.

A Biden campaign official previously told POLITICO that Joe Biden has never discussed Americore with his brother or expressed support for the business.

Americore’s founder, Grant White, attended a September 2017 fundraiser for the Beau Biden Foundation that Joe Biden was present for. The two men met at the event, according to a former Americore executive. The Biden campaign previously told POLITICO that any interaction between Joe Biden and White would have been perfunctory.

The Department of Health and Human Services’ inspector general’s office is also involved in the investigation of Americore Health, according to the person familiar with the situation. Spokespeople for the HHS IG’s office and for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania both declined to comment.

Previous presidents have taken a variety of approaches to dealing with federal investigations related to their family members. Richard Nixon was criticized for instructing his Attorney General, John Mitchell, to wiretap his brother Donald in order to keep tabs on Donald’s dubious business dealings. Jimmy Carter, on the other hand, agreed to be questioned under oath as part of an investigation of his brother Billy’s relationship with the government of Libya.

In today's episode of 'Things that should have come out during the impeachment,' just-released diplomatic memos reveal that Vice President Joe Biden's office was warned in 2015 that the Ukrainian oligarch who hired his son, Hunter, was deemed corrupt - and that the US Justice Department had gathered evidence to support that conclusion, according to Just The News.


"I assume all have the DoJ background on Zlochevsky," wrote former US Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt in Kiev in a 2015 letter to Biden's top advisers, referring to Burisma Holdings founder Mykola Zlochevsky.

"The short unclas version (in non lawyer language) is that US and UK were cooperating on a case to seize his corrupt assets overseas (which had passed through the US)," Pyatt added, noting that the asset forfeiture case against the Ukrainian billionaire "fell apart" when individuals in the Ukrainian prosecutor general's office "acted to thwart the UK case."

Talking points

Pyatt's email also includes responses to several talking points Joe Biden's Washington staff crafted, should he be questioned about Hunter's role on the board of Burisma.

"Have you asked Hunter to step down from the board? Has he discussed that with you?" the talking points anticipated being asked.
"I'm not going to discuss private conversations with my family. Hunter is a private citizen and does independent work," the memo recommended the vice president answer.

If pressed by a question asking whether Joe Biden thought "Zlochevsky is corrupt," the talking points suggested the vice president respond, "I'm not going to get into naming names or accusing individuals." -Just The News [Scribd doc on website]

As JTN notes, the New York Times published an article days after Pyatt's email suggesting that Hunter's role at Burisma while it remained under a corruption investigation was potentially undercutting US anti-corruption policy.

"Separately, a Russian-backed media outlet in Ukraine had written an even more scathing expose on what it called the "Ukrainian scam of the Biden family." That article sent State officials scrambling to develop messaging for the U.S. government," according to Just The News.

The memos, released last week by Senate committees investigating Hunter Biden, also reveal that the US Justice Department was involved in the 2014 asset forfeiture brought against Zlochevsky in the UK, right as Hunter Biden was hired to sit on the board of Burisma.

Multiple State officials have attested to the awkward appearance of conflict of interest posed by Hunter's position on the board as the United States led efforts to fight corruption in Ukraine. In a September, 2015 speech, Pyatt railed against Ukrainian prosecutors for thwarting the UK asset forfeiture case against Zlochevsky.

Pyatt was recently deposed by investigators for the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee about the Ukraine controversy. Though his staff had reported an alleged Burisma bribe and believed the Bidens' conduct in Ukraine created an apparent conflict, Pyatt said he never felt compelled to raise such concerns with the vice president.

"So you never gave thought of raising a concern to the Vice President about this board position his son had?" a Senate investigator asked Pyatt during the deposition back in September.
"No," the ambassador answered. "He's the Vice President of the United States, and it would have been wildly out of place for me to raise something like that, especially insofar as it had zero impact on the work that I was doing." -Just The News

Meanwhile, let's not forget that according to evidence from Hunter Biden's laptop published by the New York Post, Biden didn't just know about his son's business dealings in Ukraine and elsewhere, he participated in them.

Rasmussen, one of the few remaining credible pollsters worth taking seriously, found that “52% of Likely U.S. Voters think many news organizations ignored the Hunter Biden story to help his father’s presidential campaign.”

Get this… only 32 percent disagree, or said the media ignored the story because it was “a partisan hit job.” In other words, ignored it for a legitimate reason.

As far as Democrats, a whole 32 percent of Democrats believe the media covered up a legitimate story to help Biden. Non-affiliated, or “other,” totaled 46 percent.
Seventeen percent had no opinion or didn’t know.

In worse news for His Fraudulency, who we’re now required to refer to as “President-Elect Joe Biden,” a whopping 56 percent “believe it is likely Joe Biden was consulted about and perhaps profited from his son’s overseas business deals including at least one involving a company in mainland China.”

Wow.

Fifty-six percent believe Joe profited from his son’s shady, overseas business dealings. Of that 56 percent, 43 percent says its “very likely” he profited from Hunter’s shady business.

As far as Democrats, a total of 35 percent said it’s “very likely” (21 percent) or “somewhat likely” (14 percent), His Fraudulency profited from Hunter’s shady, overseas business dealings.

That’s 35 percent of Democrats who believe that!

Only 38 percent of those polled “consider this connection [between Hunter’s business and his father] unlikely.”

So, less than 40 percent of the public believe Joe Biden is not crooked.

Rasmussen surveyed 1,000 likely voters between December 13-14, 2020. The margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points.

So Biden is not only entering office with a massive cloud over his head about his legitimacy due to claims of vote fraud and irregularities, and is not only entering office mentally and physically enfeebled, but a majority believe he knew all about Hunter’s shady business with foreign countries, and a majority believe the corporate media covered it up to drag His Fraudulency over the finish line.
Part of Biden’s problem is the widespread belief he won by way of voter fraud.
Last week, Rasmussen found that a whopping 47 percent of voters “say it’s likely that Democrats stole voters or destroyed pro-Trump ballots in several states to ensure that Joe Biden would win.”

Only 49 percent say that was “unlikely.”

So not even half the country believe it is “unlikely” Biden won without committing vote fraud.

Americans are pretty smart.

Hunter Biden revealed last Wednesday that he is under investigation by the feds over his taxes.

“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Hunter Biden said. “I take this matter very seriously but I am confident that a professional and objective review of these matters will demonstrate that I handled my affairs legally and appropriately, including with the benefit of professional tax advisors.”

Hunter Biden is also under federal investigation over his China business dealings – This was previously reported by James Rosen at the Sinclair Group.

The federal investigation into Hunter Biden and his associates focused on allegations of money laundering began back in 2018.

According to CNN, Joe Biden, AKA “The Big Guy” who got between 10% and 50% of Hunter’s money from foreign countries is not implicated.

President Donald Trump is considering pushing to have a special counsel appointed to advance a federal tax investigation into the son of President-elect Joe Biden, setting up a potential showdown with incoming acting attorney general Jeffrey Rosen.

Trump — angry that out-going Attorney General William Barr didn’t publicly announce the ongoing, two-year investigation into Hunter Biden — has consulted on the matter with White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, White House counsel Pat Cipollone and outside allies.
That’s according to several Trump administration officials and Republicans close to the White House who spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity to discuss private matters.

The AP also reported that Trump is interesting in appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the massive voter fraud that took place in the 2020 election.

President Trump has support from Republican lawmakers.

Senator Lindsey Graham said he is also calling for a special prosecutor to investigate Hunter Biden’s business deals with China.

A newly declassified memo indicated that US diplomats in Ukraine warned then-Vice President Joe Biden‘s office about the evidence of corruption surrounding Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky in late December 2015.

“I assume all have the DoJ background on Zlochevsky,” wrote then-US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, as reported by Just the News’s John Solomon.

“The short unclas version (in non lawyer language) is that US and UK were cooperating on a case to seize his corrupt assets overseas (which had passed through the US),” he continued. “The case fell apart when individuals in the PGO [the Ukrainian prosecutor-general’s office] acted to thwart the UK case.”

Biden’s son, Hunter, had been named to the board of Burisma roughly a year and a half before, in April 2014.

He remained on the board until April 2019, when political pressure from the Trump administration forced him to step down as his father launched a presidential bid.

Shortly after Hunter’s appointment, the country’s corrupt prosecutor general was bribed to ignore the case, but under pressure was replaced in early 2015 with a prosecutor who was more committed to the probe.

The memo in question preceded a visit by Biden in December 2015, during which Biden may have pressured the Petro Poroshenko administration to fire the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma.

The memo suggests that the State Department was supporting Biden’s effort to cover for Hunter, although some top officials, such as diplomat George Kent, had relayed their concerns privately that his presence posed a conflict of interest and undermined foreign policy.

According to other released documents, including evidence from Hunter’s own laptop, Joe Biden likely met with a top-level Burisma representative in the spring of 2019.

But the memo contains talking points oft-repeated by Biden that his son was a “private citizen” and that the business relationship had no bearing on US foreign policy.

Hunter finally acknowledged last week that he had been made aware of a two-year investigation involving his Burisma work, including what appears to be an effort to conceal some $400,000 in profits on his 2014 taxes.

In a 2019 visit with the Council on Foreign Relations, Biden boasted of pressing the government to fire Shokin by threatening to withhold a billion-dollar loan guarantee—setting up a quid-pro-quo situation that greatly paralleled what Democrats accused President Donald Trump of doing when he pressed Ukrainian officials to re-open the probe.

A newly declassified memo indicated that US diplomats in Ukraine warned then-Vice President Joe Biden‘s office about the evidence of corruption surrounding Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky in late December 2015.

“I assume all have the DoJ background on Zlochevsky,” wrote then-US Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, as reported by Just the News’s John Solomon.

“The short unclas version (in non lawyer language) is that US and UK were cooperating on a case to seize his corrupt assets overseas (which had passed through the US),” he continued. “The case fell apart when individuals in the PGO [the Ukrainian prosecutor-general’s office] acted to thwart the UK case.”

Biden’s son, Hunter, had been named to the board of Burisma roughly a year and a half before, in April 2014.

He remained on the board until April 2019, when political pressure from the Trump administration forced him to step down as his father launched a presidential bid.

Shortly after Hunter’s appointment, the country’s corrupt prosecutor general was bribed to ignore the case, but under pressure was replaced in early 2015 with a prosecutor who was more committed to the probe.

The memo in question preceded a visit by Biden in December 2015, during which Biden may have pressured the Petro Poroshenko administration to fire the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma.

The memo suggests that the State Department was supporting Biden’s effort to cover for Hunter, although some top officials, such as diplomat George Kent, had relayed their concerns privately that his presence posed a conflict of interest and undermined foreign policy.

According to other released documents, including evidence from Hunter’s own laptop, Joe Biden likely met with a top-level Burisma representative in the spring of 2019.

But the memo contains talking points oft-repeated by Biden that his son was a “private citizen” and that the business relationship had no bearing on US foreign policy.

Hunter finally acknowledged last week that he had been made aware of a two-year investigation involving his Burisma work, including what appears to be an effort to conceal some $400,000 in profits on his 2014 taxes.

Hunter and James Biden set up a last minute meeting with top former DOJ members, a Chinese billionaire and New York’s governor Cuomo in New York in 2017. Why did they do this and what was discussed?

The Bidens continued to work on deals and relationships they had cultivated since VP Joe Biden’s time in office even after President Trump’s Inauguration in 2017.

On March 29, 2017 a strategic partnership was announced between CFCE (the Chinese Company) and a company by the name of Cowen Group. China’s CFCE agreed to purchase 19.9% of Cowen Group and agreed to provide financing of $175 million. Hunter Biden had a close relationship with CFCE.

At about the same time, James Biden forwarded a letter to Governor Cuomo in New York via his Director of Scheduling, Annabel Walsh. The purpose of the memo was to set up a meeting in early April with Cuomo, a Chinese billionaire and therefore top China leader, former Deep State actors and the Bidens.

Included in the memo were the following:

James Biden – Former VP Joe Biden’s brother who sent the email
Governor Cuomo of New York – a close friend to the Bidens
Hunter Biden – son of VP Biden and known practicing drug addict
Ye Jianming – Chairman of CEFC
Zang Jianjun – Executive Director of the Board, CEFC
(t) member of the Royal Family of Luxembourg – not sure who this is
James Gilliar – Chairman, J2CR
Rob Walker – President , J2CR

CEFC was a large Chinese conglomerate as noted above in the strategic announcement.

According to its website, J2CR is:

a legal, strategic advisory, government affairs, and communications consulting firm focused on homeland security and transnational trade, offers high-level expertise in international business development, and government affairs strategies. J2cR, along with its partners, also provides clients with professional and hands-on public relations, lobbying, strategic consulting, crisis management, political intelligence and management and advocacy services. J2cR consists of top-level former U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice officials.

We don’t know all the members of J2CR but we know James Gilliar is :

A British-born 56-year-old [as of October 2020] businessman based in the Czech Republic. Set up jc2r, the company which is in the emails, in 2015. It is no longer active [in 2020]. Gilliar appears to breed race horses with his wife, Erika and appears to also be an adviser to a holding company run by the leader of Abu Dhabi’s son.

Rob Walker is a:

Bill Clinton administration official who is now co-founder of a technology-focused private equity firm, Pilot Growth. His wife Betsy Massey Walker was Jill Biden’s assistant when she was Second Lady.

Below is the memo requesting the meeting with Governor Cuomo:

We are not clear why J2CR was involved in this transaction, if not to give cover for the deal with CFCE and Cowen Group and guarantee approval of the agreement at the highest levels of government. This would be needed since China was involved.

The announcement of the Cowen strategic partnership with CFCE was shared by James Gilliar, the President of J2CR, and Hunter Biden and his uncle Jim Biden and Tony Bobulinski who worked for the Biden’s at that time, in May 2017.

Later in July 2017, China’s Ye, the President of CFCE sent Hunter an email thanking Hunter for his work in Oman and Romania:

CEFC went bankrupt in March of 2020. We now know CFCE used a complex web of affiliated companies to facilitate fake deals, inflate trade figures and obtain bank loans to fuel its aggressive expansion. Recent reports show emails that tie Hunter Biden, Jim Biden and Joe Biden (the Big Guy) to payouts from CEFC before it went bankrupt.

CFCE Chairman Ye disappeared in 2018 and has not been seen since:

Hunter Biden asked Chinese energy tycoon Ye Jianming to ‘quickly’ send him a $10 million wire in a newly released June 2017 email.

Fox News obtained the email from Hunter Biden’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski.

Joe Biden has denied any role in his son’s businesses. But emails sent to and from Hunter Biden have cast doubt on that, including a 2017 email obtained by Fox News which shows Hunter requesting keys for Joe and Jill Biden, along with his uncle, Jim Biden, for space he planned to share with an “emissary” for a chairman of a now-bankrupt Chinese energy company.

In another 2017 email also obtained by Fox News, Biden wrote to the same Chinese energy company’s chairman extending “best wishes from the entire Biden family,” and urging the chairman to “quickly” send a $10 million wire to “properly fund and operate” the Biden joint venture with the company.

Tony Bobulinski is the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family.
The $10 million was supposed to fund SinoHawk Holdings.

The $10 million wire didn’t go through to fund SinoHawk and Hunter Biden ultimately struck a side deal with the Chinese energy company CEFC.

On August 8, 2017, $5 million was wired from a CEFC-affiliated investment vehicle to the bank account for Hudson West III, which spent the next year transferring $4,790,375 million directly to Hunter Biden’s firm, Owasco, according to Senate documents.

Senate investigators described how the Chinese state owned energy company wired the $5 million “loan” to Hunter’s firm through an investment vehicle — to the bank account for Hudson West III –which then dispersed the money to Hunter’s firm (money laundering).

Per Senate investigators:
“On August 8, 2017, CEFC Infrastructure Investment wired $5 million to the bank account for Hudson West III. These funds may have originated from a loan issued from the account of a company called Northern International Capital Holdings, a Hong Kong-based investment company identified at one time as a “substantial shareholder” in CEFC International Limited along with Ye. It is unclear whether Hunter Biden was half-owner of Hudson West III at that time. However, starting on August 8, the same day the $5 million was received, and continuing through September 25, 2018, Hudson West III sent frequent payments to Owasco, Hunter Biden’s firm. These payments, which were described as consulting fees, reached $4,790,375.25 in just over a year.”

Ye Jianming has been ‘missing’ since 2018 and is “swimming with the fishes” according to Rudy Giuliani.

In an audio released in October by The National Pulse, Hunter Biden is heard complaining about his business partner Devon Archer naming him and Joe Biden as witnesses in a criminal case in the Southern District of New York without even notifying him.

Hunter Biden is also heard freaking out over Ye Jianming’s disappearance.

“I get calls from my father to tell me that The New York Times is calling but my old partner Eric, who literally has done me harm for I don’t know how long, is the one taking the calls because my father will not stop sending the calls to Eric. I have another New York Times reporter calling about my representation of Patrick Ho – the ****ing spy chief of China who started the company that my partner, who is worth $323 billion, founded and is now missing. The richest man in the world is missing who was my partner. He was missing since I last saw him in his $58 million apartment inside a $4 billion deal to build the ****ing largest ****ing LNG port in the world. And I am receiving calls from the Southern District of New York from the U.S. Attorney himself. My best friend in business Devon has named me as a witness without telling me in a criminal case and my father without telling me,” Hunter said.

When asked this week about his son Hunter, Joe Biden said he is “confident” Hunter did nothing wrong.

Federal officials have asked questions about James Biden’s role in the business, according to a second person with direct knowledge of that investigation, who said it remains ongoing.

According to reports from a year ago, Jim Biden was sued for his actions with others in allegedly attempting to steal the business model from a man in the hospital business. The Federalist reported about Jim Biden’s case in May 2020:

In January the FBI raided the offices of Americore Health, a health care company that manages rural hospitals, where James Biden, brother of former vice president candidate and current presidential candidate Joe Biden, was a major investor. Documents prepared as part of an ongoing lawsuit against Biden and his business partners, hedge fund managers Michael Lewitt and Amer Rustom, allege they are in violation of Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and have committed fraud related to their investments in Americore and another company, Diverse Medical Management. The documents, prepared in March, were never submitted to the court and sources now say the lawsuit is headed for a settlement.

Born and raised in Doha – Qatar. Earned a Master Degree in International Business and Management from the University of Westminster and supplemented his academic career at the University of Greenwich, where he obtained a BS Degree in Business Administration. Following graduation, he joined Qatar Holding LLC “QH”, the strategic and direct investment arm of Qatar Investment Authority “QIA<https://www.qia.qa/>”, as part of the General Portfolio team, particularly dealing with Retail and Luxury Sector and stayed with the Organization until his appointment as Director of the Office of the CEO of Qatar Investment Authority “QIA” ; this appointment enabled him to work closely with various high-end Government and non-government sectors, locally and internationally.

In a letter Jim Biden writes to Al-Rabban, he shares this:

This letter indicates that the Bidens did not consider themselves lobbyists but they were happy to initiate deals using the family name.

Unfortunate for Jim Biden, when you participate in shady deals with your corrupt brother and his drug-addict son, Hunter, your shady deals are likely to be uncovered.

• Hunter Biden was repeatedly told by his business partner in emails that he was set to receive payments from the Chinese private equity firm BHR Partners starting in 2019 and for years to come.
• “BHR is due to have a significant distribution in 2019 because of the CATL exit,” Eric Schwerin wrote in a November 2018 email to Hunter Biden.
• Schwerin also told Hunter Biden in December 2018 he can expect BHR to generate income for him “over the next couple of years,” one email shows.
• The revelations conflict with a statement released by Hunter Biden’s lawyer in October 2019 which stated he had not received any distributions from BHR.

Hunter Biden was repeatedly told by his business partner that he would begin receiving significant payments from a Chinese private equity firm starting in 2019, emails obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation show.

The business partner, Eric Schwerin, also told Hunter Biden in a December 2018 email that the Chinese private equity firm, BHR Partners, would generate income for him “over the next couple of years.”

The revelations conflict with an October 2019 statement issued from Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Mesires, that said Biden had not received any return on his investment in BHR, nor had there been any distributions to the firm’s shareholders since he obtained his 10% equity stake two years prior through his company, Skaneateles LLC.

The emails, which were located on a copy of Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop, show that he took out a $150,000 capital loan with one of BHR’s Chinese-based partners in July 2017 to help fund his $420,000 investment into the firm that year. When the loan came due in December 2018, Schwerin advised Hunter Biden to extend the loan for another year so he could pay it back with future distributions.

“Since BHR will be making distributions in 2019 far exceeding $150,000 it is a no brainer to extend the loan,” Schwerin wrote to Hunter Biden and Mesires in a Dec. 20, 2018, email. “Of course, if we can execute the agreement as proposed 100% of those BHR distributions would go to you.”

Schwerin urged Hunter Biden in a follow-up email one week later, on Dec. 27, to extend the loan, noting that BHR will serve as a revenue stream for him “over the next couple of years.”

BHR is co-owned by the Chinese state-controlled Bank of China, business records for the firm show. The firm states on its website it manages the equivalent of $2.1 billion in assets.

Schwerin told Hunter Biden in a Nov. 19, 2018, email that BHR was due to have a “significant distribution in 2019” because of its exit from the Chinese battery manufacturer Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL).

A Financial Times examination into Hunter Biden’s foreign business ties in October 2019 found that that BHR nearly doubled its investment in CATL. The Chinese private equity firm sold its position in CATL for the equivalent of $30.1 million in 2018 after having invested the equivalent of $15.3 million in the battery manufacturer in 2015.

An email Schwerin sent to Mesires on March 6, 2019, indicated that Hunter Biden’s loan was extended.

“BHR was valued at RMB 60m in November 2016. In today’s dollars that equates to $8.94m. Skaneateles shares would therefore be valued at $894,000,” Schwerin wrote to Mesires in the email that was later forwarded to Hunter Biden.

“I am attributing the full value of the shares even though there is a $150,000 loan due to BHR by Skaneateles because there is a high likelihood that there will be a distribution in 2019 that would repay the loan and still provide a distribution to Skaneateles,” Schwerin added. “This is not even taking in consideration future distributions from exits of Henniges, Sinopec, and Face++. All of these investments are likely to be profitable for BHR.”

Schwerin’s emails to Hunter Biden in late 2018 and early 2019 appear to be part of negotiations between the two to end their business partnership after a falling out.

“Whatever G. **** him … he forged my signature,” Hunter Biden emailed Mesires on March 6, 2019, after asked to review an exit proposal Schwerin had sent the lawyer earlier that day.

Among the areas of contention between Schwerin and Hunter Biden was their joint ownership in Skaneateles, the entity that holds Hunter Biden’s stake in BHR, according to the email.

“My concession is that I truly owe him nothing … he owns 25% of Skaneateles in revenue not equity,” Hunter Biden wrote. “Revenue of which he is no longer due after he was fired 2 years ago or longer. So **** him.”

It’s unclear from the emails if BHR made any distributions to Hunter Biden in 2019 or 2020. Mesires did not return multiple requests for comment asking if Hunter Biden has received or expects to receive future payments from BHR.

Mesires also didn’t respond when asked if Hunter Biden’s $150,000 loan used to purchase equity in BHR has been paid off.

An attorney representing Schwerin did not return requests for comment.

Chinese business records accessed Wednesday show that Hunter Biden still holds his 10% stake in BHR through his LLC despite multiple promises from President-elect Joe Biden that no one in his family would engage in business with foreign corporations or governments if he is elected president.

Joe Biden changed his stance on his son’s foreign business dealings in December, telling CNN that no one in his family will “be involved in any business, any enterprise, that is conflicted with or appears to be in conflict, with the appropriate distance from, the presidency and government.”

Joe Biden’s transition team did not return requests for comment.

Hunter Biden revealed last week that he has been notified that federal prosecutors in Delaware are investigating his “tax affairs.” Multiple news outlets have reported that the probe is focused on Hunter Biden’s foreign business activities.

Schwerin’s emails to Hunter Biden and Mesires were located on a copy of Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop that former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani provided to the DCNF in October. Hunter Biden has not denied dropping off his laptop in April 2019 with a Delaware-based computer repair shop.

The owner of the shop is said to have provided it to Giuliani after Hunter Biden failed to retrieve it when services were completed.

A cybersecurity expert cryptographically authenticated a key email on the drive for the DCNF in late October.

In another exchange, Bobulinski, in a text message to Gilliar on April 30, 2017, asked, “what is the deal w Jim Biden as he wasn’t part of the discussion but now seems a focal point.”

Gilliar replied: “With H demons, could be good to have a back up, he strengthens our USP to Chinese as it looks like a truly family business, and I like the dude.”

“USP” in business dealings typically stands for “unique selling proposition” or “unique selling point.” A source, though, said “USP” could also stand for U.S. persons.

Other text messages released to Fox News shows Gilliar asking Bobulinski to come up with an “a lister to meet chairman Sunday.”

“Ok. A ‘lister’?” Bobulinski replied on May 4, 2017.

“Top person at same level as chairman, who would like to access China or money,” Gilliar replied. “It’s the way it works culturally for them.”

Gilliar added: “And empowers the B family so therefore us.”

The next day Gilliar sent a text to Bobulinski: “Think Joe may come Sunday. I’m hoping.”

“Yah I told Jim that’s a no brainer if he can make it he should be there,” Bobulinski replied on May 5, 2017.

Gilliar replied: “Agreed.”

Fox News reported that Joe Biden did not attend that particular meeting.
We do know however that Joe Biden did meet with Tony Bobulinski at the Beverly Hills Hilton at least one time.

A May 2017 text message previously released revealed Tony Bobulinski was warned by his business partner James Gilliar not to mention Joe Biden was involved.

Joe Biden on Wednesday claimed accusations against his son, who is under investigation by federal authorities, are “foul play.”

“Look, I have, we have great confidence in our son. I am not concerned about any accusations that have been made against him. It’s used to get to me,” Biden told late-night host Stephen Colbert, referring to his son, Hunter Biden.

“I think it’s kind of foul play, but look, it is what it is. He’s a grown man. He’s the smartest man I know, in terms of pure intellectual capacity. As long as he’s good, we’re good,” Biden added.

Jason Miller, a senior adviser for President Donald Trump’s campaign, responded on social media, writing: “Spoken like somebody who was bought off himself!”


Biden said he could still work with people who promoted the accusations.

But he signaled he was frustrated about the situation, adding:

“It doesn’t mean I wasn’t angry and it doesn’t mean if I were back in the days of high school I wouldn’t say, ‘come here,’ and go a round.”

Hunter Biden last week said he’d just learned that he was being investigated for his “tax affairs” by the U.S. Attorney’s office in Delaware. The office said it couldn’t comment on ongoing investigations.

Hunter Biden engaged in business deals in China, Ukraine, and elsewhere while his father was vice president.

Several of his one-time business partners have been convicted of participating in a fraudulent scheme.

Senators investigating Hunter Biden said he was tied to foreign individuals who have ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

A Biden spokesman said in October that the former vice president “has never even considered being involved in business with his family, nor in any overseas business whatsoever.”

“He has never held stock in any such business arrangements nor has any family member or any other person ever held stock for him,” the spokesman said.

Tony Bobulinski, one of Hunter Biden’s former business partners, said in October that he discussed a deal with a Chinese energy conglomerate with Joe Biden.

Legislators said last week that Hunter Biden’s lawyer isn’t cooperating with them.

“It should be noted that, collectively, President Trump’s family and associates produced documents and agreed to appear at interviews with a number of congressional committees,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee chairman, said in a statement.

“It would be nice, and in the public’s interest, if the Biden family and their associates would be equally cooperative with the Senate, the American people we represent, and the mainstream media that has now joined our long interest in these crucial matters.”

Hunter Biden’s lawyer hasn’t responded to requests for comment. He has not released any public statements since his client revealed the existence of the investigation.

Republicans are pushing for a special counsel to be appointed to take over the probe to insulate it from a potential Joe Biden administration.

“I am absolutely calling on the special counsel to look at all things Hunter Biden to see if he presents a conflict with the Biden administration regarding his business dealings in Ukraine, which is overrun with Russian agents, and any activity he had with the Chinese government,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told reporters in Washington on Wednesday.

A lot of powerful people have a lot to be embarrassed about.
Last week, President-elect Joe Biden’s transition team released a statement acknowledging the existence of an investigation under the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office probing Hunter Biden’s tax affairs. The investigation joins a broader probe examining Hunter’s finances underway by the securities fraud unit in the Southern District of New York, reported by Politico, and another targeting James Biden, Joe Biden’s brother, in Pennsylvania related to a series of hospital deals.

The existence of ongoing federal investigations targeting Hunter Biden was first reported in October, days before the November election. Content surfaced on an abandoned Delaware laptop implicating Joe Biden in his son’s potentially criminal overseas business dealings.

Democrats dismissed the revelations as pure Russian disinformation, offering their allies in the corporate media an excuse to ignore the news they’re responsible for reporting when not delegitimizing the idea of Biden family corruption altogether.

The irony of the Hunter Biden saga is rich, considering the same media perpetuated a four-year conspiracy with no end indicting President Donald Trump in the press as a Kremlin agent, laying the roots for a baseless narrative to attack any reporting they simply don’t like, including the blockbuster revelations on Hunter Biden.

Now that Hunter Biden has acknowledged an ongoing investigation probing his finances from the Department of Justice, legacy outlets finally offering coverage after forgoing any attention to a story that became even more important following the election. But don’t hold your breath for coverage to be fair.

If it wasn’t clear before — and it was given statements from the FBI, the Department of Justice, the director of national intelligence, and the Department of State — it’s undeniably clear now that stories unearthing incriminating details on Hunter Biden did not stem from some Russian plot to interfere in the November election. Public knowledge of not one, but three federal investigations targeting the Biden family with an on-the-record whistleblower and a laptop hard drive authenticated with forensic analysis also obtained by federal authorities help make that clear.

Yet two months after legacy media declined to take the Hunter Biden story seriously for potentially undermining their preferred presidential candidate, there’s a lot of people who engaged in interference with no shame and no accountability. The stories that surfaced in October ought to embarrass a lot of people. Here’s a short list.

Joe Biden
Above all, former Vice President Biden remains at the heart of the controversy, caught in a web of lies covering for his son’s overseas business ventures that emails show sought to enrich the entire family, including the president-elect himself.

The first bombshell to drop in the New York Post’s series of October exposés caught Joe Biden lying throughout the entire campaign when repeatedly denying ever discussing business with his son, “or with anyone else.” Indeed, 2015 emails show Joe Biden personally met with a senior advisor for Burisma, the Ukrainian energy firm showering the vice president’s son with upwards of $50,000 a month in excess compensation while Joe Biden served as the “public face” of Obama administration policy on Ukraine.

Biden, however, even fat-shamed an Iowa voter for bringing the Ukraine scandal up.
New emails published by Fox News Wednesday offer greater insight into a $10 million deal, likely the same as that reported by the New York Post in its story on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Documents, Fox News reported, revealed Hunter Biden offering Chinese business partners with deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party his “best wishes from the entire Biden family” while requesting $10 million.

Emails published by the New York Post dated a month later show the same Chinese business partners offering Hunter Biden a $10 million a year contract for “introductions alone,” explicitly setting aside a sizable portion for Joe Biden funneled through Hunter.

During the presidential debate in October, however, Biden accused Trump of peddling Russian disinformation for pointing out this story.

The Hunter Biden saga is just as much a scandal for big tech as it is big media. Moments after the first New York Post story went live, Twitter began blocking its URL on the platform and disabled the paper’s account.

Twitter later explained it had blocked sharing because the article included “hacked” content, a frivolous explanation capitalizing on rules clearly selectively enforced to suppress the biggest story of the 2020 election.

Despite an apology from Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s censorship continued, blocking the URL of the Post’s second story documenting Hunter Biden’s $10 million deal with Chinese business partners.



Twitter eventually backed down from its censorship and allowed the stories to be shared following backlash over its overt election interference. The New York Post however, the nation’s oldest newspaper, remained locked out of tweeting to its nearly two million followers for two weeks during some of the most critical days of the election.

As Twitter suppressed the New York Post’s reporting on its platform, Facebook followed suit, announcing through a company spokesperson and former Democratic staffer the company would be preemptively censoring the Post’s blockbuster reporting until it underwent review from its third-party fact-checkers.



After the reveal of federal investigations, an on-the-record whistleblower, forensic analysis, a statement from Hunter Biden himself, and lack of dispute over the emails’ authenticity from the Biden campaign, questions remain surrounding Facebook’s selective censorship.

Did the fact-checkers at Facebook ever make their findings public? Have they retracted or altered their checks after last week’s statement from Hunter Biden that he is under an ongoing FBI investigation? Will these entities remain fact-checking partners going forward?


Facebook declined The Federalist’s request for answers on these questions.

CBS’s “60 Minutes” aired its 2020 election special featuring each of the major-party candidates and their running mates on the legacy program Oct. 25. The broadcast garnered almost 17 million viewers hearing correspondent Lesley Stahl flat-out denying Joe Biden was facing a scandal at all.

“He’s in the midst of a scandal,” Trump said in the interview after complaining about reporters asking Biden what kind of ice cream he purchased on a campaign stop as opposed to the blockbuster reporting just two days before from the New York Post.

“He’s not,” Stahl interrupted to shut down the president. “He’s not. No.”

Stahl also lied in claiming there was no evidence to support Trump’s complaint that the Obama-Biden administration spied on the Trump campaign. Find the evidence here.

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour
CNN’s Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour self-righteously declared herself a “journalist” who “follows the facts” by regurgitating Democratic talking points yet she dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian interference during an interview with RNC spokeswoman Elizabeth Harrington.

Amanpour responded by claiming that reporting means ignoring on-the-record statements from all the nation’s top intelligence agencies to float unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.
“I’m a journalist, and a reporter, and I follow the facts. And there has never been any issues in terms of corruption,” Amanpour said of the Biden family.

“How do you know that?” Harrington challenged after citing the FBI investigation into the Hunter Biden laptop.

“I’m talking about reporting, and any evidence,” Amanpour said.

When Harrington called on Amanpour and the rest of the media to start doing journalism by engaging in rigorous digging and verification, Amanpour scoffed.

“No! We’re not going to do your work for you.”

Amanpour proved in the interview then she is not in fact a journalist. She is an activist, which is okay, as long as she starts being honest about it. We all know she won’t.

NPR Editors
The week after the New York Post began publishing its series on Hunter Biden’s laptop, the editors at the taxpayer-funded National Public Radio (NPR) explained to readers why it hadn’t bothered to report on the blockbuster revelations.

“We don’t want to waste our time on stories that are not really stories,” the editors wrote.



CNN’s Brian Stelter
When searching for leftist reporters masquerading as dignified journalists, CNN’s Brian Stelter has become the most reliable culprit of the Trump era.

In October, Stelter was roasted by the Washington Examiner’s Susan Ferrechio for downplaying the Hunter Biden story after leading the media’s crusade to characterize the incumbent Republican president as a Russian operative.

“The bottom line is this deserves scrutiny by all media outlets, and if they pick and choose this and decide it’s not worth their time, I think that’s showing real bias,” Ferrechio said on a panel hosted by BBC.

Characteristically defensive of legacy media, Stelter shot back when Ferrechio pointed out the double-standard over CNN’s exhaustive coverage of the Mueller investigation while ignoring the Biden scandal.

“Don’t you dare, don’t you dare act like newsrooms didn’t have ethics in 2017 and 2018,” Stelter said.

“You can’t ‘don’t dare’ me all you want, Brian,” Ferrechio shot back. “I’ve been doing this for 30 years, so say whatever you want. It’s my view, and I have a right to say it.”

To this day, Stelter is still complaining about other outlets offering substantive coverage of the Biden scandals, charging Fox News of destroying its credibility when it leads with news about Hunter Biden.

When one reporter asked Biden on the tarmac about the scandals involving family business deals, Rhodes condemned the journalist as “acting as the far end of a Russian disinformation operation.”
