FOOD How to make Apple Cider Vinegar at Home THE EASY WAY!

Fairwillows

Where I am supposed to be.
I admire that Gal and the RAin Country Gal! I've made lemon/lavender vinegar (for a hair rinse), Peach, and Lemon/peach/watermelon...so far this summer. I have a batch of Rose of Sharon/lemon that's almost done. I'm also trying tepache. It's made from pineapples. The first batch was so good, I've got 4 more batches started. It's got the bromelain in it which is good for lungs and joints....I tried my hand at making kvass? epic fail....it was thick, it didn't taste bad, but the thick texture turned me off.... and then one bottle exploded all over me....and my kitchen. I have to figure out what I did wrong!

Apple cider vinegar couldn’t be easier.

Make cider…..put it in glass, ceramic or stainless…..with cloth or wooden lid, or ring lid very loosely applied.

NEVER seal the container.

The ensuing carbon dioxide gas given off will make pressure and explode things…..

Depending on how much acetebactor is in your cider, 2 weeks-1 year later you should have premium vinegar.

Taste will tell whether there is any hint of winey/alcohol flavor remaining or if you’re all the way to vinegar.

Also, mature vinegar will create that thick bacteria culture called “vinegar mother”, which will be evident in the otherwise clear liquid.
That’s a good thing.

I'm getting ready to make vinegar when I can apples. I'm diabetic and I want to start drinking vinegar and turmeric every day. Supposed to stabilize/lower blood sugar. Mine goes up if I eat anything but veggies and a little chicken. I'm so sick of those 2 foods.... :/
Consider berberine as a supplement as well, and eating fatty meats also.

Don't let the fat scare you! Do research into keto/carnivore + intermittent fasting and diabetes reversal before poo-pooing the concept.

I don't poo poo the keto, I've lost 50 lbs on it!! So far it hasn't done much for the diabetes stability. I also added Berberine to my Metformin and it does help. I've been reading and reading plus watching videos too.
