Hornady & Lake City Armory Team-up To Produce Affordable - Guns and Ammo

Hornady & Lake City Armory Team-up To Produce Affordable, Accurate Mil-Spec Ammo
June 28, 2018 By Brad Fitzpatrick

Established in 1941, the nearly 4,000-acre Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP) in Independence, Missouri, produces small-caliber ammunition for the military at a rate of around a billion rounds per year. This makes LCAAP the largest producer of small arms ammo for the United States Armed Forces.

In 2017, LCAAP approached Hornady Manufacturing with an impressive offer that would combine Lake City's impressive production capabilities with Hornady's superb components to produce accurate, affordable AR ammunition for shooters.
"The Lake City Army Ammunition Plant came to Hornady with an opportunity to tap into some of that capacity," said Hornady Vice President Jason Hornady. "The cool thing about this opportunity is as a bullet manufacturer, we have the opportunity with the Lake City organization to provide military spec cartridges with better bullets. When you have an opportunity like this, you cannot pass it up."

There are so few ammunition makers for the government to buy from and Lake City doesn't feed the need. Hornady would have nothing to fear by telling them to shove their mandate and buy from someone else then. The .gov would back down and even if they didn't ammunition is in such short supply I doubt that would have any trouble selling every cartridge they make. The CEO is a weasel.

And 'IT' is by design. These mandates are too stupid to be stupid. It will implode commerce and supply chains even further and they don't care.

Sir, isn’t it better to question these mandates as something very closely bordering on treason?

Sad, as I know many of the folks at Hornady.
Up to now, they have been a deciding force in liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It would be destructive for them to follow the socialist mandates of the current administration.

It’s not the patriots that work at Hornady that worry me. It’s those that run the company, and have caved to the butt-monkeys in D.C. By all means, if someone wants to wear masks, gloves, and goggles- let them, as long as safety constraints are not violated. Otherwise, they should STFU.

Hornady is by far my favorite ammo and projectile manufacturer. Built my .223 coyote rounds around their projectiles, been trying like crazy to find some of their 350 legend 170gr to try.

Anybody know if Barnes is also caving in, might have to switch to them for coyote loads.

What about Winchester and big green? CCI? RCBS?

I'm not going to stop buying ammo and components so if they all cave I guess I'll stick with Hornady.

Neither here nor there.

And last I had heard it was still a memo, it wasn't an official mandate per a thread here on TBK a week or so ago.

...those large govt contractors as well as the 501C3 churches that infest our nation should review the writings from our founders of liberty:

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

What state is the Hornady factory in? Today Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed an executive order effectively banning any "vaccine mandates" in the state. She's trying to get ahead of the ball IF/WHEN the actual details or info on the presidential mandate is released.
Not sure how much this will actually help me with my employment when it all boils down but it gives me some hope.

Or he was forced to.

That was my thought also…the men in black paid him and visit and had pictures of his little grandchildren asleep in their beds (just a fictional thought experiment).

After that, he capitulated to .Govs demands.

2 things here:

1) Somewhere one day, one of these men will have balls and fight back or resist in interesting ways…say, like “cooperate” and then put out a piss poor product…’Wow, sorry Mr. Gov. Liaison, all the Vaxxed employees started putting out substandard products….not my fault!’

2) What about the mom and pop type ammo producers? We have a few that I know of here in Montana.

HSM Ammo - Home | HSM Ammunition

Black Dog Ammo - Home - Black Dog Ammunition

Choice Ammunition - Home - Choice Ammunition

These are just a few…

Bigger than mom & pop shops but still small town operations.

HSM has been in business for over 50 years.

This is what we need…10,000 small operations with patriot owners to whom guns & ammo is more than a business, but a sacred duty. Invested in their communities and loyal to their customers and workers.

A Jeffersonian template if you will.

Same thing seems to be starting up with meat processors. Pretty much every town in these parts has one nowadays and they're all booked up, which means that there's room for more.

Met Steve before they are big dogs in Grand Island. Nice enough guy. But you know there are "families" in every town. Knew it was coming

Dammit. Love their stuff. I use a lot of their ammo and a butt ton of their components. Plus a lot of my gear is Hornady. Que sera, sera.

Back what seems an Age ago, we were a Full Service gunshop and Guide service. I spent many hours chunking out Match Grade blammo in the back room (where the puppies were NOT allowed to go. Gunpowder very bad for the wee ones.)

I would love to do that work again.

Couldn't an employee of Hornady (through legal counsel) ask for a copy of the Executive Order that outlines the
100 employees requirement? If Hornady can't produce said Order, could the employee (or his Union) sue for
wrongful termination? Lots of individual lawsuits would get their attention.

Once again, none of these jabs are truly FDA approved, and with their dismal safety record I doubt they will be soon. Somebody needs to grok that an EUA cannot be mandated and shut this shit down.

Those gov't contracts are the incentive! This is how they are nationalizing all parts of the economy, through forced vaccinations. Don't comply then you will go broke and maybe even die in the process.

Do comply and perhaps you'll still die in the process.
