I failed to bookmark the post. Search is overwhelming me with every result but the one I’m seeking. Must be getting old. I used to be really good at searches.

The was a HAM radio course to prep for licensing, I believe, which would start in February. I’m interested, but have questions. Best place to start would be that thread. Please point the way, thanks!

YouTube videos are fine for radio reviews and a little general understanding, but they are no help in passing the tests.

if you are taking the test, you need one of the sample test training courses. Then you just go through the training, take the sample tests and review what you’ve missed until you can consistently pass the sample tests. Youtube won’t cut it. It’s just like school, there are no shortcuts. You can’t just listen to a lecture.

Its not hard, but you have to prepare

QRZ.com has a practice test for each level. Create a login and then do the test for your level over and over till you can get a consistant 80%. Then get with the local ham club and take the test. There used to be a "Now You're Talking" text book that explains it in the first part then test question pool in the back. That is what I used to study for my technician test.

search for " holland arc test questions " you will do well to only study the correct answers. then go to eham.net and take the practice tests. when you get 90% on a few of the practice tests it's time to take the real test. You will need an FRN number from the fcc to take the test. Tests can be administered online. Most hamfests also have testing, most local clubs do testing once a month, check the ARRL site for testing info.

I used hamstudy.org for all 3 licenses.
You might see if a local club has a course available (ours does).
