help please, youtube videos won't play, embeds don't display

help please! my computer won't play youtubes (just has a black screen) and won't even display the video imbeds that normally appear in threads. i cleared out cookies a few days ago and then noticed this shortly afterwards. any ideas how to fix? thanks in advance!

hmmm, after not working most of the day, all of a sudden, it now works!

don't know why or how but i guess that takes care of the problem. thanks anyways...
