Herbs Growing Herbs from Cuttings

In fall of 2021, at a nursery closing sale, I bought some supposedly Doone Valley Thyme, which is a (seasonally?) variegated lemon thyme, with beautiful pink-lavender flowers. I have to question if what I got was the true plant, as it grew taller than 3", the variegation is hard to discern, and the flowers last summer were a gorgeous lavender-purple. It is definitely a lemon thyme, whatever it is, and the intense fragrance and gorgeous colors make it worth keeping.

Anyway, it was left in the same pot for 2 winters (it never got planted where I intended), and currently the plant is looking very brown, straggly, and sad. Yet, it still has some green portions, so I decided to see if I could root any. I've never done this before, so I went online looking for a video, and found this excellent one:

If you scroll to the end, it appears that he has other videos on propagating herbs, growing herbs indoors, etc.

I'll try to remember to let you know how this venture turns out.
