Get Tough

I wrote this song a long time ago but it sure seems more appropriate today then ever. It's been on my mind all day and I just wanted to hear it again. lol

I can't provide the mp3 here on TB but I would if I could. Instead I'll provide the lyrics and a link to hear the song. I created this song all by myself and it was a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it. :)

Get Tough

Walking down this lonely road wondering what's in store
Time get tough don't I know I can't take much more
Yesterday I had a dream of uncertainty
It could of been a vision of what's become of me

Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough

Work is hanging on the line friends don't understand
Walls are closing in on me I do the best I can
I'd like to take a journey far away from here
Leave my troubles far behind my destination clear

Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough

I look into the mirror reality stares back
We have to face our troubles uncertainties intact
I guess we all must make our way although the times get hard
It's when the path gets narrow that life becomes so marred

Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough

Gotta Git It - Gotta Git It - Gotta Git It
Gotta Git It - Gotta Get Some - Gotta Git It - Gotta Get Some
Gotta Git It - Gotta Git Some - ehhhhh

Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough
Gotta - Gotta - Gotta Get Tough

Goodness before greatness.
Hmmm... It would be nice to hear songs here too!

We have to have some talented voices among us also.

My dad was a crooner all his life. When he was discharged from the navy, still in sailors uniform, he hit a live show with Bob Hope who was MC’ing.

Mr. Hope ended up passing the microphone to dad and that was his moment of fleeting fame and stardom.

In 2003 he kidded about us going to Las Vegas, walking up to stage again like he did at the end of WW-2, and crooning away.

Bob Hope and dad passed within a season of each other. I guess dad hung around a little longer to work his perfection on his pocket-comb which doubled as his pretend microphone when he felt inspired by someone who was willing to be his audience.

This song comes to mind.

and sometimes this one, which is as close as I was going to get being a crooner.

I recall dad teaching us this hymn one day in the mid-60’s.

Thanks for sharing Lab. I bet your Dad was a lot of fun to be around. Glad you got to experience a great dad like that. Loved Elvis myself and for some reason new all the words to your second video. That's funny! :)

Izzat you singing too Vick?
Cool song.
I tried. :) Thank you very much! I'm in the process of trying to get my old analog studio back up and running. It seems to be the thing once again, analog sound. Analog has all the mistakes, the nuances, warmth, etc that digital lacks. I much prefer it, it sounds so human.
