From the CDC:

Fresh whole onions causing large Salmonella outbreak in 37 states. Throw away.

Fresh whole onions causing large Salmonella outbreak in 37 states. Throw away any unlabeled onions at home. Do not eat, sell, or serve red, white, or yellow onions imported from Mexico and distributed across the US by ProSource Inc. If you can’t tell if an onion is from ProSource Inc., don’t buy or eat it.

What are the symptoms of infection?

Most people with Salmonella infection have diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps.

Symptoms usually begin six hours to six days after infection and last four to seven days. However, some people do not develop symptoms for several weeks after infection and others experience symptoms for several weeks.

Mine say "product of Summerthyme's homestead"

LOL! One big reason why we go through all the work of growing a big production garden
N...

Summerthyme

You should print up labels!

Back before produce stickers took over, Sunkist identified its citrus by stamping its name on the rind.

I recall hearing about a practical joker who lived next door to a prideful gardener. One night, he sneaked into the neighbor's yard, climbed his orange tree, and stamped all the fruit "Sunkist."

Just got my catalog from Dixondale farms today, very best place to order onions sets from, I get 400 every year,

I plant Walla Walla and Sterling. grow great in my area.
DH used to order from them. Planted about 1000 onions every year. They grow nice in the desert. Gave them to everybody. Firemen, homeless shelter. Really miss our garden.

got some red onions from the local mennonite

they were red on the outside and nearly all white, on the inside

they were so mild that it could be eaten like an apple

never had much luck seeding onions

and the sets are barely bigger than planted, when harvested

need to buy onion plants next spring, but I couldnt find any last spring

Plant early and don't pick them till the day before frost . They love rotting peatmoss. Best onions here come from reclaimed swampland.
