just keep in mind that those are the people that have had problems. I understand they are now producing and shipping 5000 a month. Last year it was significantly smaller numbers.
Tre that
Good points
For the price of those things. Geeze

Finally got our FD hooked up and performed the test run. It's working great! Our first "real" run is a load of sliced bananas, which I put in tonight. I'll let you all know how they turn out. Even dh was excited to get the thing going.

I’ve had mine for nearly two months but life is freaking hectic and there was some kind of something wrong with it. Mom and I went to town on it check all the connections, etc etc and finally we found the loose connection and this puppy is now performing really well. However, I rolled it down to Mom’s place for her to play with it. I’ll finance things and she’ll monitor, etc. I’m just swamped right now.

So … the first batch was candy. ROFL. It was a good test run … Peeps, Bit o’ Honey, Laffy Taffy, salt water taffy, and Mary Janes. Vacuum sealed in jars for the most part.

Second batch was strawberries. Wow. That’s a lot of flavor packed into a small package. Yowzer. Lock my jaws.

Third batch was 60 eggs. They filled 3 quart jars.

Today’s batch was cooked squash, frozen veggies, and a few other things.

’Nother 60 eggs after that batch. Or maybe we’ll do bananas first.

I have the medium size and you go through jars and Mylar bags pretty quickly.

I love my medium Harvest Right freeze dryer. This heat has definitely been an issue with freeze drying the past month but I'm waiting patiently for that first cool snap to get it going again. I've done eggs, mixed veggies, milk, bananas, strawberries, apples, cherries and all have been amazing. I currently have 4 trays of bell peppers waiting to go in. I recently put together all of my holiday dips (ranch, french onion and spinach/artichoke/crab) and freeze dried them and they came out wonderful. I was careful to weigh before and after to know how much liquid is needed to reconstitute.
