COMM Free Republic?

TB2000 and Free Republic are my main news sources. FR hasn’t been available for about three days now. Anybody know what’s going on with that forum? Jim Rob just give up? It seemed like he was always stressed about raising funds. Or…server meltdown? Or hacked to heck by the dark side?

Just curious if anyone knows anything here. Thanks.

I go there daily, right after TB2K. I hit the main page and I also enjoy their Q thread.

I've never understood the fundraising ruckus that ruins forums. Do it once a year and be done with it. Just be upfront with what you need and if it doesn't come in just shut it down. If it is worthwhile it will survive and if not then not. I used to be on a sister forum to this one but I quit going for that specific reason. The pleas for money became so obnoxious you would swear you were tuned into a TV evangelist pining for a new jet because the old one was 5 years old already.
