fixing Roto-tiller before spring hits!

Hi all,

I’m trying to fix my Roto-tiller, It’s a 9Hp craftsman, counter rotating rear tine tiller.
As I need it in a month and I may try to rent it out to Friends and whomever., to make some extra cash.
The issue is the wheels, they can roll for about 2 or 3 revolutions and then stop dead, in either direction. (foreword or reverse) and then I need to drag it further…its HEAVY!

I’ve taken it all apart, and I may have found something wrong with the transmission gears. A little keyway, called a click clip or something looks broken,

I’ll be back online in a few days.

Is there any small machine repair forums that I can ask people for advice, who may know what the problem is.

I’m lucky it’s a craftsman I went to sears do ask for info, and he said “oh good, its one of ours”, what he explained was that if it was other brands MTD, Yardworks/mate that they sell, getting parts would be an issue. As I bought it used a few years back, there is no warranty.

Anyway that’s for any info you can provide, I’ll be back online in 2 days.
