Fireworks Erupt After Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears Refers to Transgender State Senator as 'Sir'

Fireworks erupted in the Virginia State Senate on Monday afternoon after Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears referred to transgender Senator Danica Roem as “sir” during floor deliberations.
The chamber was forced into recess twice over Democrat tantrums because Sears initially refused to apologize.

“I understand Senator Roem is upset,” Sears said. “I’m not here to upset anyone. I’m here to do the job the people of Virginia have called me to do.”

Yahoo News reports, “Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears eventually said she was sorry, but she did not specifically say that to Sen. Danica Roem, D-Prince William County. Instead, she looked at each section of the chamber and said, ‘I apologize.'”

“However, she appeared agitated in making that apology, saying that while she meant no disrespect in her comment, she chastised Senate Democrats for what she claimed was ‘showing disrespect towards me,'” the report added.


The Washington Blade reports, “Roem in 2018 became the first trans person seated in a state legislature in the country when she assumed her seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.”

Got that right. If the trannies can’t handle freedom of speech and a little criticism then that is their problem. Past time to quit apologizing for the obvious. If it walks like a man and talks like a man then its a man even if it is wearing a dress and heels. Instead of apologizing laugh at the absurdity instead of enabling mental illness.

I looked her up because I never heard of her before and I wondered about her old English name. She was born in Jamaica and must be one strong woman to have survived the terrible tragedy of losing her daughter and 2 granddaughters. Info said she is a strong proponent of improved mental healthcare due to her daughter's illness.

it's a political deal to the DNC - not social - that Lt Gov made a personal insult because she's a woman and has a problem with he-she queers ....

I hope that the Lt Governor looks that freak of nature right in the eyes after this and tells it. "henceforth, you will be addressed by me as "delegate" and if you don't have the good grace to accept an apology then to hell with you". And after that, I'd not speak to that shitbag unless I had to in the course of my duties as Lt Governor. No interaction, no compromise on any legislation, NOTHING. Paint "it" with the invisible brush and find somebody in that district to beat it in the next election. Oh yeah and do a DEEP dive into its past as well. might be interesting.

Never apologize when you are right. Offer to apologize when the "offended" party drops his drawers to show all that he is not a he.... or vice-versa. And only then if no surgery had changed the matter. In any doubt, a DNA test will tell who is right. Explain that someone else's psychological problem is not something I need to pretend along with nor is it of my nature to outright lie about what is.

The governor can quietly go about starting state hospitals for the mentally ill with the idea they help people that think they are another sex other than what they were born with or thinking they are something other than human.
