EQ Earth quake in north Ga.

Had a new experience last nite. Just after gettin in bed the DW and I heard a low pitch roaring sound that lasted approximately five to right seconds. The sound was loud enuf to hear clearly but the intensity would not have been high enuf if I was asleep to have awakened me. No shakkin just the sound.
The quake did register 2.6 at a depth of 13km just east of Eaton Ga.

We had one last year in my local area of NC and I could hear the roaring sound and though it was a jet right over the house it was loud, but we had very little shaking due to the house being built on solid bedrock. But it was still enough to get me up and out of the house in record time from the basement.

Some years ago, we were sitting outside when we started shaking- I knew it was our neighbor who liked to sneak up on you, shaking my chair. I turned around and he was not there. That’s when I realized it was a tremor. Don’t like that stuff - where ya gonna go
