Interesting. As far as I can see, about the only county in the US that went from red to blue was Cook County, Minnesota (the extreme northeastern tip, on the north shore of Lake Superior). My guess is that this could be explained by urban dwellers relocating to a relatively touristy area and retaining their urban points of view.
